Great location on City Island. Parking can be paid with cash or a card... card includes a $.50 upcharge, but very convenient. They have handicap accessible parking and seating which is a plus. The ramps in the stadium are surprisingly gentle. I also appreciate that the stairs aren't steep and the seating is pretty comfortable. The stadium boasts that it's cashless but some stands do accept cash. The new lighting is great. It cut down on the mayfly issue considerably! I'm loving the support for local businesses. This is the first large center I've gone to that offered Middlesworth chips as opposed to a national brand. Lots of adult beverage options if that's your thing All and all, just a really pleasant and comfortable experience. You should come out to support our local baseball team!! The Harrisburg Senators offer a great time for baseball fans, family outings, business events and organization gatherings. There's a great area for the kids to enjoy if they get antsy. Food and beverages are affordable. Parking is easy to access and reasonable. Handicap parking is behind the park with a separate entrance and there are ramps to the main level throughout the stands for those who can't do steps. The facility is clean and well-staffed. FNB Field is a great and economical way to enjoy professional baseball. The stadium is located on City Island in the middle of the Susquehanna River--one of the most scenic ballpark locales I've visited. The Senators are the class AA minor league affiliate of the Washington Nationals so it isn't uncommon to catch a promising new star or an major league player in town for a rehabilitation start. Ticket and food/drink prices are quite affordable for a date or family night out. I typically sit in the "club" seats near home plate, which include unlimited access to food and soft drinks served in the club space. The food selection (buffet) is usually a couple of entrees and always includes burgers, hot dogs, and popcorn. Beer (including some local craft brews) is available for an additional charge. A great night out at the ballpark. They even sing God Bless America at the 7th inning stretch (hilariously the kids' choir singing went right into a second verse that none of us knew). My review depends on whether or not you enjoy classic ballparks or modern parks. I was lucky enough to be a teenager when Camden Yards opened up and in my 20's when Citizen Bank opened. This park is more of a modern park with small concourses (I get it, it's on an island). The parking situation is ok but getting out is a nightmare. We had dinner before we came so I can't speak on the concessions but they have your normal stuff and then some specialty foods for the ballpark. They do have an extensive tap room in the outfield and you can get cocktails made under the first base stands. The ballpark is clean and the staff is very nice. read more

Damn, yet another fantastic experience on City Island with the Senators. Truly speaking, what's not to like here? Parking is only $5 and if you want to cheap out for a weekend game when the government is closed, you can always park for free downtown and walk across the Walnut Street Bridge. Overall the Senators do not draw well. We pimped for club seats same day and while fairly heavy in terms of pricing for minor league baseball, we had front row seats which are essentially closer to the plate than the pitcher is. If you do splurge for the pimp seats, it's an all you can feed buffet of dogs, burgers, popcorn, meatballs, pulled pork (surprisingly very good) and gnocchi (surprisingly very bad). I could be forgetting something but it's all also all you can drink soft drinks and adult libations are available for purchase but it's all can and nothing on tap. Note that the food stops at 8:30pm so get your feed on early and the booze stops in the 7th inning. Of course there are cheesy giveaways to Red Robin and I think a plumbing company but all of that is what makes coming to places like this fantastic. Oh right, the baseball. The Senators are perennially horrible and it's not hard to see why the parent company is right now arguably the worst team in MLB. Basically no offense the entire night between them and Akron along with an embarrassing combination of 27 K's between the two teams, 4 throwing errors, a wild pitch or two or a few calls by the 3B ump that had the crowd calling him Angel Hernandez for how bad they were. The one bright side was that Akron was down 1-0 in the top of the 9th and their 1B Micah Pries was sitting dead red on first pitch heat and hit one that probably landed in Carlisle. Absolute. Moon. Shot. Overall the prices are still decent enough, the stadium while basic has everything the average person would need for a fun night out at the park. Honestly the only worth changing here is I still say that they have the worst mascot in professional sports. What the hell is a Rascal and what does he really do here except look stupid? What a great little stadium. Every single fan in there was kind and the stewards were extremely helpful. It just felt like a place where people weren't working to be there... they genuinely wanted to be there. The stadium is tucked away on this island in the middle of the river and around it are all sorts of fun little spots to go. There's even a pedestrian bridge if you'd prefer a walk to the park from downtown Harrisburg. Enjoyable minor league stadium for the Harrisburg Senators, the Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Minor league ballparks can really range in how built up and enjoyable vs. run down they are, and FNB Field is surprising in its attention to making a very walkable and inviting stadium with local flavor thrown in (local brews for craft beer night, etc). Plus, not every AA ballpark has a club space (some AAA stadiums don't even have them, it seems), so being able to enjoy the setup in the club at FNB Field was a bonus. That said, the variety of seating is great... tables with umbrellas, counter seats, bleachers, and regular seating in the stands... it's a great variety and offers options for everyone. Very clean stadium too. Also? Super helpful and welcoming staff here as well. Seems to also be plenty of parking available for a small price, though you can walk from downtown Harrisburg - there's a bridge that connects you to City Island for accessing the stadium and all. Beware of mayflies, of course, because the stadium is near the water. To avoid them, try not to sit near the more lit parts of the stadium during night games. TL;DR Nicer park than I expected, would certainly visit again. read more

There are a lot of things I really like about Metro Bank Park, home of the Harrisburg Senators. For example, the fact that it is literally on an island. And the fact that said island is walking distance from the city of Harrisburg is also a nice touch. The park itself is very family friendly and has many options to keep little ones occupied if they get bored with the game itself. However, this is where I have to deduct a star. It's almost too busy. So many food stands. So many activities for the kids. So much to distract from the game. Don't get me wrong, I like options, but I think Metro Bank Park goes a little overboard. The distractions didn't take me away from the game, though, and I was able to enjoy our dugout seats and some fine crowd interaction with Rascal the mascot. Attending an early afternoon game is recommended so you can leave your car on the island after the game and walk into the city. read more

Wonderful stadium for a minor league team. Lots of family friendly activities. The players will sign autographs for you and you can interact with them before and after the games. Not really a bad seat in the stadium. There are lots of food options so something for everyone. They even have funnel cake fries! Parking is $4 and the lots fill up quickly so plan a little extra time to get situated. There are other activities not associated with the baseball stadium that happen in this location, mini golf, train rides, etc. So that does bring additional traffic. Beautiful ballpark! Food selection is good, though naturally it's stadium food and beverages so it is all pricey. The group programs are good, and we had great seats under shade for our group, section 206. The small fountain beverage, hot dog, chips, and hat combination were great in addition to our tickets. Handicapped parking takes paying close attention When being directed to the back. When I politely asked a parking attendant about where to enter, as we were parked behind the stadium for the first time, she told me where I could climb the fence. Okay, it was a joke, but a bit weird for someone entering from this parking lot. Then we got to the back gate, and they were unfamiliar with our group, had to call someone out front at Will Call. We appreciate someone running tickets to us, we really do. As we stood there, we watched the last of the 1,000 free t-shirts going to people arriving until there were 2 extra larges left. Come on, staff! We arrived early, established that we were really supposed to be there. It felt like we were penalized for 1, being with a group, and 2, being parked in handicapped area in the back. We arrived at FNB park at 5:05, yet we were delayed by parking and gate staff. Again, we appreciate someone getting tickets to us at back gate. We still had to walk to the front for our hats. This process could be better synchronized. Anyone who is a walker with mobility issues would find this difficult and might be discouraged to return. The game was fun! Get some logistics squared away. Me and my family have attended few Senator baseball games in the past but this one was one of the best. We had great box seats right behind home plate. FNB Field has 21 corporate suites having their own private seating areas. The stadium has concession areas with a number of food options. This season, single game ticket prices range from $9 to $35.The Club seats have larger seats and the best view of the stadium as well as an all-you-can-eat buffet with traditional ballpark fare as well as various other options - hamburgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, ice cream and pizza. They also had a dessert cart with - carrot cake, peanut butter cake, cheesecake, ice-creams, gummy bears. The senator's mascot - Rascal even paid us a visit and we all get pictures with him. July 22nd was Superhero Day- many in the stadium came dressed as their favorite character. We were in a big group and some kids in our group got a Super Hero Cape. The Superheroes were mingling in the crowds too and performing their acts and pictures were being taken with them. In between the innings various activities were being held in the stadium - superhero races, musical chairs, lucky draws and their announcements, contests. It was an interesting game and senators won 7-3 - bonus was the fireworks show at the end which was absolutely awesome and the best view in this small stadium. In town for a two night business trip, my co-worker Maria and I were looking for something to do on a Friday night. Let's see--we don't drink, so bars and nightclubs are out. Hey, we both like baseball so we figured we'd take in a Senators' game. The Senators play at Metro Bank Park and it's a renovation of the old ballpark which had been here since the 1980s. Did I say renovation? More like a totally new ballpark built on the same site. The old ballpark had a lot of bleacher sections and bench seating. The new park is almost all fold-down seats, each having a great view of the game. They actually have a section of barstools out in left field--not down the line but behind the left fielder. These barstools are actually reserved seats, so you can't just sit there if you don't have a ticket. We opted for the grandstand seats behind home plate. But getting back to the park itself, it's located in Downtown Harrisburg on City Island. If you don't have a car or you feel like a little exercise, you can reach the island via the Walnut Street Bridge, open only to bikes and pedestrians. The island setting is very picturesque and the way the ballpark is oriented, you get a great view of the Susquehanna River and Downtown Harrisburg. And this is why I like ballparks that are located in town rather than out in the 'burbs or the boonies. There's more of a sense of place. For instance, the Washington Wild Things play in a barebones stadium that gives you a great view of a highway and a strip mall. The food here seems to be typical fare. Niether of us had the stones to try the Ollie Hot Dog--a fine encased meat with barbecue sauce, bacon, onion and cheese. I'll bet it's horribly-bad-for-you good but I just didn't want that thing sitting in my stomach all night. We needed to be up early the next day to head home. All in all it's a great ballpark in a great setting. We had a pleasant time here. The hometown fans didn't though--the Bowie Baysox beat the Senators 9-3. read more

The Senators game was a fun night in Harrisburg. The stadium's location on City Island is pretty cool. The stadium was recently renovated and is pretty nice for a old minor league park. The boardwalk around the outfield is a nice touch and seemed to be a popular place for fans to mingle. Bring a lid for your drink because the mayflies start dying all over the place in the 4th inning, and there is no way to predict where their little bodies will crash. The night we were there was only a 3 on the mayfly meter. I can't imagine being there on a night when the meter is over 3. It was kind of gross at first, but the P.A. announcer reminded us the dying bugs were just a little additional protein. Tickets are cheap and there doesn't seem to be a bad seat anywhere. The Senators won the night we were there and scored enough runs that we got free wings from Zembe's. We just missed seeing Strasburg. Hopefully the Senators fans get to see a guy like Harper on his way to D.C. soon. read more

Harrisburg fans are a very passionate bunch and tried in vain to rally their team. The grandstand is made of aluminum and fans stomp their feet and make the stadium shake. This is an awesome ball park to go to for a cheap day out. The park itself is located on City Island, lots of great walking/picnic area, water golf is right there, batting cages, food stands and a river tour. Tickets are cheap.. and they always have promos going on and special events. Last night was "wet nose wednesday" so we got to take our fur babies with us and enjoy the nice weather. The stadium is always clean, great staff, and cool things to do for kids inside. Great cheap food and beer selection. I don't think it's a bad seat the place. My favorite are the field boxs113 114 115. The players are great with the kids. My youngest was part of a baseball clinic last year. The players coached them with batting, fielding and gave them all kinds of player's tips. The concessions serve the standards but also local brews and food. Arooga's "everything" wings and an Appalachian beer are a great add on to a local ballgame. All in all I would say it is a great family outing. Affordable family fun. They have many activities for kids. On Sundays kids can play catch on the field before the game and run the bases after the game. My son enjoys the monkey race, burger shuffle, t-shirt toss, and interacting with the mascots. The staff and players are also great with kids. We have a partial season ticket plan and many of the bullpen pitchers know my son by name and have given him several baseballs. Not a bad seat in the house, even the cheap seats are good. Was in town and decided to go to a game on a hot, sunny Sunday (Father's Day 2017). I must say....I was impressed with the job the Club has done with the venue. It's been maybe, over 20 years since I've been here and clearly, changes have been made to the stadium. All for the better. It's clear the created a new stadium geared toward the minor league fan experience. You can walk into the stadium and sit in Ollie's Cheap Seats or sit anywhere else around the field (with tix) of course. Each part of the stadium seems geared towards some sort of viewing of the game from the outfield tabled seats to the picnic area along the right field line. There's on-field seating next to the visitor's bench and bleacher seats along the lines of the field. There's even a cut-out area to sit in between the visitor's dug out and the visitor's bullpen (where you can walk up and see and talk to the players ( like a petting zoo). Across from here is a kid's area with inflatable, interactive baseball games. The grandstand area around home plate is nice with better seating including box seats at the upper level. Overall you can see a lot of thought went into making this a fun, fan experience. On this day I got a free prostate cancer screening. All the more reason to give the Senators Five Stars! read more

The park is recently renovated so it's quite nice and you can get a great seat for just a few dollars. As is the case with any minor league park it's a very family friendly fun environment. Not to mention every once in a while they get a great prospect like Bryce Harper. I enjoyed catching a game. Food prices are just decent and beer prices are similar. What a fun night! I took my niece (who is four and obsessed with baseball) to her first Senators game and it was a blast! She got to walk around the island before the game and then got to enjoy the stereotypical peanuts and cracker jacks.
