You would be hard pressed to find another boat lift retailer in town, and since Hall's boat lifts…read moreare actually displayed in a grassy lot on Main Street, you can't help but stop and take a look at the boat lifts available. There's no one there, not even an office or lemonade stand, so you have to call what I assume is the home address of the owner and request he meet you on Main Street to discuss the boat lifts available. Not everything available is there, but what is there, you can buy. Otherwise, there is a catalog to look through. They even have old, used steel boat lifts for sale for around $500.00. They are rusty, weigh a ton and won't last more than another 10 years, but it's a choice offered. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable about his products. There was no pressure to purchase anything. We decided to purchase one of the boat lifts sitting there - cost $1,200.00. The owner put it in his truck and drove it over to our house. Since it was an aluminum jet ski/jon boat lift, it wasn't too big or heavy so he didn't bring anyone to install it in our backyard waterfront. If my significant other (SO) wasn't home, and it was just me, he would be out of luck in getting any help. I'm not strong enough or tall enough to help hump it down the stairs or jockey it down the retaining walls. Then, my SO still had to help lift, shift, push, and pull while the gentleman was in the water with the little wrench adjusting the legs. This process took the better part of any hour. Honestly, if I buy a boatlift and pay full price, I don't expect to have to help hump and install it, especially when I'm told that Hall's has access to a barge and installs it for other customers. At least, give me a discount after all that.
