I waited over three months to accurately give some feedback about my journey with this company. For starters I wasn't a healthy eater and I work too much to have the time to prep meal. This is where this company excels in for my taste. They cook very delicious healthy meals for you that is focused on your personal goals and on top of that they give you every major food group you need for a nutritious diet. Therefore, I can now honestly say that they took me to another level in my fitness goals. I was able to cut down a lot in body fat percentage while maintaining most of my muscle mass. I was 190lbs at first and now 177lbs but with more muscle mass than fat! I will be continuing my journey with this company and look forward for what's to come. STOP. THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR. I'm so serious. I have tried like 4 different well known meal delivery services over the past few years and all of them always have something that they do or dont do that bothers me and it never lasts or works for me. Justin cooks the most delicious meals. You can pop them is the freezer so u dont have to worry about it going bad and just take the following days meals out the day before and out into fridge. Its affordable and easy and delicious. I hate the whole process of shopping, prepping, and cooking...by the time I get home from work after walking dogs all day, the last thing I want to do is spend an hour or 2 in the kitchen. Unfortunately I have to leave this review. I reached out to this company really hoping to change my life for the better. I signed up for a month of food for my husband and I and from the very beginning informed them it would only be a month since I was going to leave out of the country for a long time. The food was alright, there are some great items and some not so great. You have to constantly remind them of allergies and dietary restrictions and even then they forget. My husband is allergic to shrimp, I informed them of this and they forgot after the first week. The fish is not fresh, it almost made me want to gag and so I requested no more fish and they forgot 2 weeks later. I also noticed the first 2 weeks we got steak and ahi tuna, then afterwards nothing good anymore just ground beef, frozen fish, frozen vegetables. Breakfast is totally not worth it, I got a waffle and 2 sausages every day. The first week came with scrambled egg whites and no more after that. Really disappointing. The worst part is that they put your card on auto-payment without telling you. Even after mentioning several times that I did not want to continue since we were leaving, they still auto- charged my card. I texted and was told they'd take care of it that day. A few days later my credit card still was not refunded and my texts were not replied to so I emailed. I was told they took care of it and I would see it refunded 8-10 business days. Fine, I waited. A few weeks go by and no refund, I email again and was told they would process the refund again, that they were having some issues with refunds through PayPal. Now a total of 6 weeks have gone by and no refund. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but this has gone too far. These people are frauds who stole more than $1000 from me and will now have to deal with my credit card company. PLEASE do not use them! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. They charged me without notifying me first & almost 3 months later I'm still waiting for my refund. The problem started in October when they charged me for another 3 month service. I emailed Justin & was told that they needed at least 2 weeks notice to cancel. I wasn't aware of this & this was never mentioned in any of our correspondence so he agreed to cancel & issue a refund. Two weeks pass & I don't see the refund on my card so I contacted Justin again. He says it all went through on his side so he wasn't sure why I hadn't received it. He said he called PayPal & was told that the refund was processed again & I would receive it for sure. Another 2 weeks pass & still no refund. So I reached out again & this time they offered to send me a check. After a week, I contacted Justin again & this time his assistant Cloreece responded, apologizing that she forgot to mail the check since they were busy that week. I appreciate the honesty but WTF??? Cloreece emailed me on Dec 12 to say that the check went out that afternoon. On Dec 20 I reached out again since I still haven't received the check. Cloreece replied & said to give it time because they've had problems with the post office & that everything is delayed due to the holidays. You would think that since this has been going on since October & due to the fact that they've been having problems with the post office they would have sent the check via overnight mail or at least with a tracking number. Mail time was never an issue when they delivered my food (sent via UPS) so why is there suddenly a problem with my check? It's now Dec 30 and of course, still no check. If I reach out to them again I'm sure they will give another excuse about why the check isn't here. I've tried to work with them and have given more chances than they deserve but this is beyond ridiculous. I finally disputed the transaction with my credit card - which is what I should have done in the first place. I travel for work pretty often and even though some restaurants have nutrition info online, it's usually a struggle to find things that fit into my diet. Luckily I found this company. Justin and his team are great and will really work with you (he even had one of his employees deliver my meals late one night after a long travel day and my delayed flight so I would have my meals by the next day). After my first email Justin emailed me back to ask some introductory questions about my training and meal preferences. Once I provided my target macros he was able to figure out my meals. It couldn't be much easier! As far as the food goes, I have no complaints at all. If I were you I'd ask for a salmon and asparagus meal, grilled chicken, sweet potatoes and asparagus meal or shredded chicken because they're the bomb. You'll be kicking yourself if you order meals and don't try at least one of those combos. And I had 3 meals each on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Which was perfect set up for the work week as i converted half my office to a kitchen, committed for sure. The portions were on point and the flavor was great on every single meal and I enjoyed the variety too. I def looked forward to the next one each time. So that's all I was eating, the 3 meals per day. If I got a little hungry or was getting late at night I would eat a couple spoonful of peanut butter to curb my appetite. Also a sparking water or a black coffee curbs my appetite too which I mixed in there too. But I felt great energy, I was never lethargic or giving a weak ass effort in the gym, I felt good the whole time and never felt starving. This is what I always wanted, a meal prep delivery service and you nailed it man thank you! As far as gym routine... Working out for the first time since August so I'm sore everywhere as expected... Honestly say I can't believe the reviews I have read. This was the worst meal plan and un responsive person to deal with. We ordered and paid in advance for a month. We received the first week and it was just ok. Week two we asked for a few changes and what we received were the exact same meals again We commented on what we didn't like but yet got no response and week 3 got again the same meals with a few pieces of broccoli and asparagus mixed in. By week 4 we threw in the garbage most of the Again similar meals hoping for some new meals on week 5 were even more disappointed to see all the same and asked the driver to return them. Wow. as a new client, my experience with this company from start to finish was terrible! i could go into all the details such as the missed delivery times, poor packaging/delivery, cracked containers, food arrived with frozen ice inside, unlabeled dishes, etc. but take a look at the pictures and ask yourself if this looks anything like whats advertised on real fuel's site. my family is from the south so good food is a must but eating healthy is a choice. i was hopeful that i could accomplish both with this company... tasty, healthy food but they didn't even come close! read more

If I could give RealFuel zero stars I would. Luckily for them, they receive a charity star. The pictures posted on this Yelp page were not at all indicative of the actual product received. Even though I had purchased the "Premium" plan I still received an abundance of ground turkey and beans meals which were simply not worthy of the price tag. The turkey chili meals lacked vegetables. Despite my repeated requests to stop delivering these meals, Justin continued to provide them to me each week. It was both disappointing and annoying; a sign that he simply did not care despite the fact that I was paying a $150 a week. During the 5 week period of the service I received steak one time. Shrimp two times. Chicken breast three times. The rest of the meals consisted of ground turkey chili, ground turkey meatballs, fish and enchiladas (green and red; these were the highlights of the package). As a whole, the food quality was poor at best. The shrimp were miniature and definitely farm raised. Oft times the chicken was dry and chewy as if it had been frozen. The enchiladas were my favorite, but they always lacked in portion size (and vegetables). Justin had asked me a series of qualifying questions, such as weight, exercise schedule, etc. at the onset. These questions helped determine the food to be supplied, as well as portion size. I believe he based the portions off my answers. The problem with that is someone double my size can receive double portion size for the same price. Not only is this obnoxious, as I was paying top dollar for what was billed as a quality product, but it is unfair, as I was often hungry. At the end of the day I would not recommend this service unless you are looking to eat flavorless, school cafeteria quality food at a high price point. For the same price you can definitely purchase your own high-quality ingredients and prep double the meals. The convenience factor simply does not justify the cost or quality received. The only convenience here was not having to cook after a busy day, which was nice. read more

After having a horrible experience with another company, we found Real Fuel on Instagram and decided to give them a try. Immediately, we were impressed. Justin was easy to get ahold of and was willing to answer all of my questions- even though it was after normal business hours. We live between 3 different states and have a insane schedule and he was still able to accommodate us. In addition to the scheduling issues, my boyfriend is a VERY picky eater. Real Fuel was able to successfully satisfy with not only on the generous portion size, but taste as well. Another plus is the cost. We have saved switching to Real Fuel (at least $200/month) and have higher quality, fresher food. Time is money in this day and age. Not everyone has the time or expertise to prepare multiple healthy meals week after week. And because us Americans view convenience as a necessity, highly caloric and heavily processed fast food becomes our "Go-To" that does nothing but deplete our energy and pack on the LBS. This is where Justin, the founder of Real Fuel comes in. Upon contacting him via email, he called me that day to ask what my goals were and particular information that would help him establish a plan that worked for me. After talking for about 30 minutes, I could tell that he was very passionate and truly cared about my success in achieving my weight loss goals. Both my mother and I chose to purchase a monthly plan and received our meals for the week the very next day! The meals were fresh, nutritious, and tasty. Over the next 4 weeks, we had finally tried all the different meals that Real Fuel had to offer and were able to choose which ones we wanted sent to us on a weekly basis. Throughout the few months that we have been customers, Justin has been available to help and make corrections at a moments notice. We have made changes on multiple occasions and they have all gone smoothly and without any hiccups. There have been a couple times where the meals arrived a little late but he was sure to throw in an extra meal for free each time! Not to mention, the meals are surrounded by plenty of ice packs to keep them fresh if you can't get them in the fridge immediately. Fresh, healthy, nutritionally balanced and unbelievably phenomenal tasting meals delivered to your door on a weekly basis, what more could you ask for?!? I no longer have the temptation to grab Jack in the Crack just because I'm tired and don't want to go grocery shopping and cook. Justin was referred to me by a colleague who has had success with weight loss on this meal prep service. Justin was responsive to inquiries and very helpful. The deliveries at times ran a bit late, but this was really with the drivers. However, each time this happened, Justin was very quick in locating them and ensured I received my delivery and that the food was fresh. The food is always fresh, tasty, never greasy, and consists of what you should eat and how much you should eat based on your goal with the plan. There isn't any dish I didn't like. After about a week to 10 days I began to feel better (lighter and more energetic and my digestion issues also improved). I had to cancel the plan unfortunately since it would be much more cost effective to prep my own meals at this time. What I appreciate Justin/Real Fuel has done for me is taught me the right foods and right proportion to eat to be healthy. After eating this food you will also tend to be more conscientious about food choices and portion sizes when dining out. I was not hassled when I canceled the plan. I would definitely come back to this plan again and again when it makes financial sense for me (and I do hope to come back soon). I would highly recommend Justin and Real Fuel. He is very responsive, takes the time to explain everything but more importantly he listens to what you are requesting. His meals are fantastic, my favorite is his turkey meatballs. I had brain surgery on April 21st. Before my surgery, I was looking for a food service that would deliver meals because I would not be able cook for myself after surgery. Real Fuel is the Real Deal! I've been eating Real Fuel's meals for exactly a month and I must say I am happy with the results. I easily went from 246lbs down to 233lbs. This is with eating Justin's tasty meals and moderate workouts 2-3 times a week. Work has been so busy that I haven't been hitting the gym as much as I'd like but the Real Fuel meals have helped me tremendously in eating clean and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
