After the end of the Mexican revolution in the 1920's, the government began promoting Mexican folk music as a source of national pride. It is around this time that the Mariachi costumes became elaborate taking inspiration from Jalisco charros, Mexican ranchers and cowboys. By the middle of the 20th century, mariachi music had made its way into US culture, first in California, then throughout the southwest, and eventually throughout the nation. Mariachi has now become one of the most recognizable Latin music types. Carrying the Mariachi torch in South Florida is the Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo. This musical group can be hired to perform at your private events including birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. I was able to watch them perform at a friends milestone birthday celebration. The singers had great harmony and they can sing in both Spanish and English. They offer 30 and 50 minute performances. This group was very professional and their music and vocals was enjoyed by everyone at the party. Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo is a beautiful representation of Mexican culture.

The Foundry is a small neighborhood theater in Wilton Manors, just across the street from Union…read morerestaurant and next door to Island City Stage on Dixie Highway. Plays of Wilton makes its home at The Foundry, a 54 seat black box theater that is wheelchair accessible. Since there are only 4 rows of seats and the theater is small and intimate, almost any seat in the main section is a good seat. The seats are next to each other, so people sit tightly in this small venue. There are some side seats sometimes, but I do not recommend, since the angle of vision to the stage is not the best. Out of all the seats in the main area, I find seat B7 to be the best. There's a pole next to it and an aisle on the other side, so this is the one seat that is almost "private". The plays are mostly LGBTQ+ themed and based. The one I went to see called 10 Naked Men was not all nude. Actors stayed clothed most of the time, but the title sure got people excited about the show....LOL.... Hunter's the nightclub was kind enough to donate red and white wine as well as water for the show, so these beverages were complementary throughout the play. There is limited parking in front and behind theater with some handicapped parking spaces. The theater opens one half hour prior to performance times. Performances are usually Wednesday through Sunday. Evening performances at 8 PM and matinees at 2 or 3 PM. As of 2024, the performances are usually : $35 General Reserved Seating $50 Premium 1st Row Seating $25 Side seating, when available

The Parker is an elegant venue with the opportunity to upgrade to The Haller Club! Totally worth the additional ticket! First, the Parker Team are all incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional! I'm amazed every time I attend a concert they are consistently welcoming! The renovation is absolutely incredible! Beautiful! Definitely upgrade to the Haller Club! The atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable even for a single person... The display of food is 5 Stars! The options are endless! From cheese, fruit, salad, fresh rolls, butter, always 2 hot appetizers, display of mini desserts and fresh fruit! A dedicated bartender with complimentary wine,beer and water bottles. The mini spanakopita and pork sliders were our hot options. Delicious! The service, food and ambiance are all 5 Stars!! Now to the Happy Together tour! Brilliant performance by all involved! Each act outdid the other! The audience sang along to each song! Especially with Gary Puckett! I hope the venue continues with showcasing the bands from the 60's, 70's and 80's! Yes! Once inside the auditorium, the atmosphere shifts to a more classic aesthetic, highlighted by beautiful ceiling ornamentation that adds character and charm to the space. The theater itself is relatively small to medium in size, making it well suited for plays and more intimate performances. Now that I've discovered this venue, I'll certainly be keeping an eye on their upcoming shows.

Reading the program I saw that some of the players were acting a long time and some of them were recent grads from the FAU theater department. I thought everyone in the play did an excellent job. The facility is clean and nice. It is in a beautiful location. They were very organized and seating was easy. I would definitely come and see another show here.

Well the Boca Black box, a small and intimate venue on Glades Road in Boca Raton is a hidden gem to say the least. The Black Box hosts some of the greatest country, 60's, 70's and 80's cover bands! Many are national acts that find their way to this wonderful little venue and light the place up. The owner, Randy is warm and inviting. I believe he did some standup comedy in his younger days, as he does a few minutes of comedy in the stage before each show. The venue seats only about 280 people. There is regular auditorium type seating and my favorite, personal tables along the perimeter that seat up to 8 people each. The ticket prices are very good and well worth it! The service is excellent and you are never left without a cocktail before and during the show. The waitresses are always walking around checking on everyone. They are friendly and friendly warm. Randy must be doing something right as I have been going to shows there for 3 years and the wait staff never changes. I know most of them personally now and always receive a warm welcome. There is noIt much in the way of food there, so enjoy a nice dinner before or after the show at one of the many restaurants located right near the venue. Give it a try! Relive your youth with some of the greatest cover bands in the USA. Party safely and enjoy life!
