Awful company. I moved without viewing ahead of time, they rented me a disgusting dirty house. I documented everything. A year after moving out they sent $3,000 for collections, when I contact them they refuse to tell me what the charges are for. I am now seeking legal action. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! For starters, these individuals did not tell us that the rental we would be living in was on a dirt road. When we arrived at our rental, it was frankly a mess. The home was dirty, smelly, and there were medications and left over items from the previous occupants. There were broken blinds and missing window screens. I put in a work order immediately, and these items were never fixed the entire time we lived there. There were several problems with the home while we lived there; however, since our first work order was never completed, we just fixed things on our own. When we moved out, over $500 was taken from our security deposit for miscellaneous charges. When I called to follow up, the broker was extremely rude and unwilling to help remediate the situation. If I could give 0 stars I would. I really wish I would have seen these reviews prior to my husband finding the house we rented through Realty Executives. Where to begin... First, we had a fridge door that wouldn't close without having to have a box or something in front of it to close it... did they have it fixed after numerous requests from us during the 6 MONTHS we stayed there? NOPE. We also had a leaking bathroom sink for the 6 months we stayed there because guess what.... they wouldn't have it fixed. Aside from them not having any of the house deficiencies fixed, there was a broken window lock in the living room that was there prior to our arrival, and they charged us $110 for that to be replaced, AS WELL as a $75 RE-KEYing fee that we had no idea about. So we didn't get the entire deposit back which was SO annoying ESPECIALLY after living there with those deficiencies that they WOULD NOT FIX. Not to mention the staff. Mostly incompetent in the little experience I had with them. I say "little experience" because no matter how many times I called them to speak with someone about ANYTHING during our time there and after, they would take my number to have the proper person call me back... which, you can probably guess, they NEVER did. It burns me to the core that this company takes advantage of families (especially military) the way that they've done. After moving so much with all the stresses that comes with that, the last thing anyone needs is an incompetent, unreliable rental company that finds any excuse possible to not do their job and to take your money. My experience renting from this company was mostly positive until it came time for the moveout inspection. The people that do the moveout repairs charge insane fees and Realty Executives simply charges those fees to the tenant without any opportunity to debate the charges. They say you can debate the charges, but all that means is meeting with them and having them tell you there's nothing they can do. Neither the maintenance person nor the broker had any interest or desire to help me with the moveout charges and they could not be reasoned with. This left a very bad taste in my mouth and I would be very cautious about recommending this company to anybody looking to rent from them. This is a company that takes as much advantage of tenants as they can to repair things without costing them anything. read more

UPDATE TO COMMENTS MADE BY: RE FLW Property Management on my review posted to their facebook page which as 9-27-17 have hidden: I am well aware of Dave Holbrook's position as one of the owners in the company. Issues neglected: - 2008-2011: Attempted to bill me multiple times for A/C repair and smoke detector repair, when the issues were dirty filters and battery replacement. I had to point out to you these were tenant responsibilities in order to get refunds. 2008: Tenant installed a satellite dish on the house when they left, they didn't take it down. You wanted to bill me for removal. I had to point out the dish was never on any move in inspection, before you charged the tenant. 2010: Tenant installed a satellite dish on the privacy fence, a non weight bearing structure. Storm + Satellite dish = fence breaks and falls over. I had to pay the $600 to fix. - 2011: Tenant moved out, you priced calking of baseboards at more than $300. I came out there to do the repair myself, and found a whole section of the dinning room flooring cut out and replaced with a non matching piece. I had to point it out to you, because you missed it on the move out. 2017: Most recently, you priced fence repair for 2 post and a piece of fence at over $550 dollars from Worstell Construction LLC. This is the only vendor you have ever provided a quote for work, except for heating/ AC. I got 3 quotes from random vendors in the area, total repair cost $250. 2017: Upon receiving co-inspection for property handover after you were fired. Prior to the last tenant moving in you stated the walls needed touch up. The photos provided by the new property manager show massive splotches of touch up paint, that make the place look terrible. I would have repainted if I knew. There was a leak under the kitchen sink, that had been there so long it has damaged the cabinet underneath. There was also an issue where the new carpet needed to be re-stretched to prevent fraying at the tile carpet transition that was never mentioned. If you are conducting property checks every 4 or 6 months as stated, why was that missed. Seems like you either don't conduct the inspections or execute them in a half-hearted manner. I will post photos on yelp of pictures and emails to confirm what I am saying, since I am not allowed to post here. Did you notice you have a 1 star rating on yelp. Compare your rating to other realtor / property managers in the area. I own multiple properties, in multiple states and while you were the best at one time (2007), you have gone way down hill. Don't waste your time with this company, especially if you are in the military because they will pray on you in the end when it's time to move out. They will "hire" a company to come and fix all the damages that may have occurred in the house and just a throw a number out to charge you without any explanation to what each item costs to fix with material and labor; the way all companies do invoices are estimates. Then when you try and talk to them about they either try to try threaten you and intimate you or they flat ignore you or beat around the bush when you ask them a question. Also they require to use the carpet cleaning company they "perfer" because they charge you up to 75% more than any other carpet cleaners in the area; God forbid you use another company. My husband and I used this agency to find a rental house when we moved to Fort Leonard Wood last year. We selected a house online, based on the pictures that were posted. If you look up the address (24646 Talladega Rd. Saint Robert, MO 65584) it is hard to tell that the house is actually in the middle of a very steep hill. The house was not clean despite that claims that it had been inspected. There were large centipedes all over but the Company refused to exterminate. Less than one year out we received a message stating that the owners were moving back to the area and they would like to live in their house. It was explained that we would need to move out since the owners were military. I am a Soldier as well. My Unit assisted me in moving to another rental home as the military does not cover a second move at the same duty station. This move was a big hardship. My Command stated that we should not be made to have the carpets professionally cleaned since the notice to vacate was less than 90 days and the owners had broken the contract by asking us to leave early. We still paid to have the carpets cleaned. Anything that needs to be repaired or fixed takes forever since the realtors must wait for the owners to respond which does take some time. This agency does a very fast move-in inspection, but they take much longer when you move out. I wish that I had read the reviews as it is clear that there is not one good review. I would absolutely NOT recommend using this Agency if you are military! Military Beware of this agency! read more

This company is down right the worst realty company in the area! They boast about providing the best for our military however, they refuse to follow federal laws contained in the CSRA of 2013. In conjunction with these misgivings they also fail at every turn to answer service calls on their properties. Every time we needed a repair, they were swift to respond. I've heard horror stories about move out and how picky they are about cleaning. I was prepared for the worst, but the agent actually complimented us for properly cleaning our unit. We had a broken shelf in the fridge and a spot on the wall that needed touch up paint. They took a very small and market value amount from our deposit, and we got almost the full amount back within three weeks. They will nickle and dime you out of your deposit, even if you leave the house immaculate. They also require you to keep utilities on for a MONTH after move out while who knows what's going on in the house. My husband and I paid $725 of our $1350 deposit to have our house professionally and expertly cleaned by a great company. The woman from Realty Executives who did the move out inspection repeatedly told me the house looked perfect and that she was having to "search" for things to document on the condition sheet (which I found inappropriate--if there's nothing to document there's nothing to document). In addition to a ridiculous "key changing fee" of $75 (which we did know about in advance) they ALSO charged us SEVENTY FIVE ADDITIONAL dollars for (1) leaving a welcome mat and hook at the front door that was THERE we moved in (if it hadn't been we would have taken it in our HHG obviously) and also (2) because the cleaning company left a toilet brush in one of the bathrooms. SEVENTY FIVE dollars for leaving a welcome mat, hook and a toilet brush...in addition to the receipt we gave them for $725 proof of cleaning and in addition to the $75 "key" fee. I wish I could post pictures on here to show you the emails they sent me--documenting that the $75 fee was for leaving the welcome mat a toilet brush. Absolutely absurd and the worst experience I've had with a deposit during my time in the Army. Even after attempting to push back--they refused to return our $75 for a welcome mat and toilet brush. Go with Walker or any other local real estate company if at all possible. Avoid this company unless you don't care about your deposit. Who knows what they would've charged us if we hadn't spent over half our deposit on a professional cleaning that not everyone can afford. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd kept the entire thing. I called to get a walk through on a listing that was posted, and got set up for an appointment for the following monday. Monday rolled around, so I got up an drove an hour and a half to the location for the walkthrough appointment. Sat around for a little bit before calling to notify them I was there for the appointment. Was told sorry no one got ahold of you, it's already been rented. So not only did I have to move my work schedule around and my childrens' sitter schedule around to be able to do the appointment, I also waisted 3 hours of time of driving to and from the property. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! I am not one to leave reviews, but in the hope to help others in the future, please do not use this company! As renters, we were held responsible for ALL house maintenance for the duration of our renting experience. If something with the house needed to be fixed, it was made our responsibility. We were nickeled and dimed for everything involving the house and received no assistance as renters. At time of move in, we requested several issues to be fixed and documented these issues in our leasing agreement. The company refused to complete any updates. At time of move out, those same issues that we documented at move in, were made our responsibility and we received a bill over $2000 for repairs. Also during the move out period, we were made responsible to keep the electricity and water on until they decided it was okay to turn them off. We are now a month after our move out date. You will be owning a home, without actually owning a home if you use this company. Rental Beware. First off, I rented from this company in 2007 and they were great. Unfortunately, that first experience brought me back when I was stationed at FLW again. Throughout the rental period, I did not have many issues with the company. The only real hiccup was when the water heater broke. They couldn't get it fixed without approval from the home owner, which took several days. Apparently a broken water heater isn't an emergency. The real issue came when we moved out. After 3 weeks we received our deposit which was $850.00 shy of what we put down. The invoice said we were charged $350 for cleaning (which is crazy as we cleaned for 2 days) and $495 for repair of a microwave, new drawer in the refrigerator, window crank repair, wall repair, fence repair, and to haul off junk. This was absolutely insane. There was no "junk" left behind nor were there holes in the walls. The microwave was broke, but I had contacted them 8 months prior to fix it and was told the homeowner didn't have the money to repair it. I guess that meant I would pay for it when I left. The fence piece broke in a storm, which again was told to realty executives and the other two items were old and just broke by normal wear and tear. The thing that bothered me the most was that they never contacted me about what I was getting charged for. I just received a small portion of my original deposit back in the mail. This is not the way to run a business. The bottom line, go somewhere else. By the way. As others stated, the company spent 15 minutes on the move-in inspection and 2 hours on the move-out inspection. Terrible! I will NEVER rent or buy from this company. I wish I would have read the reviews first. I had so many issues with my rental its hard to know where to start. After living there 2 months the garage door continued to give me issues. I called and complained a few times before the homeowner (not a maintenance person) came to look at the garage door. He outright accused me of hitting the garage door when I knew for a fact nothing had hit the door. I asked reality executives to send a real maintenance person out to do the assessment and they did. Their maintenance person came and agreed that the garage door was junk and no one had hit it. Reality executives agreed that the homeowner would be responsible for fixing the door, but when the homeowners fixed the door I was still charged 500 dollars. I had to make a formal complaint to army housing before the issue was resolved. This took place over 2 months requiring tons of phone calls, emails, and meetings. I literally had to fight to not be held responsible for a junk garage door. Then when I moved out 5 months later they took the 500 out of my security deposit. Again, I had to go in and fight for my money back. In the end I was not charged but this was just a ridiculous situation. If the garage door wasn't enough, the homeowners were unbelievable. The homeowners showed up at the house unannounced multiple times. They were rude every time they came. I had to complain to reality executives before their unannounced visits stopped. I paid a 200 dollar non-refundable pet deposit for a limit of 2 dogs. My roommate and I paid the deposit and didn't really think much about it. When the homeowners came for the 6 month inspection they flipped, apparently they needed to approve each dog in the home and we had 2 (we missed that on the pet agreement). Since we were at fault for not catching that clause in the lease, we agreed to pay an additional fee. They charged us another 300 dollars - bringing our non-refundable pet fee to 500 dollars total. After all the issues we had with this rental we knew moving out would be a disaster. To avoid further stress, I paid one of their recommended cleaning services. The cleaning service was excellent and she did an excellent job. Additionally, I matched all the paint throughout the house and did touchup work where I had hung things on the walls. I have never done so much work to move out of a rental. However, the homeowner was extremely rude during the inspection despite the house looking immaculate. She criticized the touchup paint and tried to get reality executives to charge me to have the place painted. I had replaced a set of horizontal blinds on the front window because the string had broken. The original set was one big blind but I replaced the set with 2 separate blinds (I thought it looked better). The homeowner made a point that even though there was a set of brand new blinds, it was not the single original blind. Reality executives charged me 200 dollars to replace the single blind. 200 dollars!! Blinds cost 25 dollars tops at lowes. Over all I cannot begin to describe my frustration with Reality Executives. The girls who work in the office are nice, but I probably worked with 5 different people who managed my poroperty over the year. There was no handover between the girls so every time I went in, I had to reexplain the issues I was having. Their inability to manage the property caused constant frustration and issues with the homeowners. Very unhappy. I would never recommend buying or renting from this place. read more

As you can see below, Realty Execs responded to my initial review A YEAR AND A HALF after it was posted. To add insult to injury, the response was completely unhelpful. To address the response point by point: "Our company will only charge a tenant to re-clean the carpets if either they were supposed to have had a pet treatment applied to their carpet per their lease agreement and did not or if we found dirt or pet hair on the carpets when we arrive for the inspection" I had no pet. I used a company recommended by Realty Execs to clean the carpet after move out and still got charged for an additional carpet cleaning. "Our company cannot charge a tenant at the move out inspection for something that was annotated on the move in inspection so either this was not annotated on the move in inspection or this is not actually what the cleaning company had charged for." This company can and did charge a tenant for something that was annotated on the move in inspection. Realty Execs seem to think that just because they have a company policy, that that policy will be followed by all employes at all times,even when they have a strong incentive to go against that policy (e.g., keep security deposits of soldiers who have to leave on short notice and can't stick around St Robert to squabble about a few hundred dollars). "Our policy is that the homes must be left empty when tenants move out of the property. This tenant was charged to remove some items from the home because the home must be empty upon move out and we cannot assume that the next tenant or owner will want the previous tenants remaining items." So here they basically admit that they charged me a significant fee to move a new broom out of the utility closet and argue that it was done in the interest of the next tenant, who I'm sure they screwed out of money when he moved out as well. So in summary, you can see what an awful company this is to deal with. If my initial review did not drive that point home, the awful response by the company owner hopefully did. If I could go below a 1 for how bad Realty Execs is, I would. I was sent to Korea in May 2011 and used Realty Execs to manage my house while I was away for 4 years. I paid Realty Execs over $5,000 over the 4 years I was gone and when I came home this week the house was trashed. 1) Garage door was vandalized with huge red letters, cost me $175 to fix. 2) Weeds in two areas of the backyard were over 6 ft high, in a 10 x 10 area, took me two days at 8 hours a day to remove. 3) Two door frames were severely damaged, renters were never charged for obvious physical damage. Realty Execs said it was because of humidity. 4) Carpet had a huge tear, renters were never charged for damage. 5) A 15 ft portion of my privacy fenced is permanently ruined. I have to replace all 15 ft of what could have been easy maintenance if Realty Execs would have notified me of the damage. 6) Renters dog chewed the wall, Realty Execs tried to fix, but it was horribly done. 7) Two sections of gutters are leaking causing major water damage. Never reported to me from agency. 8) (Minor) Gardens were destroyed. 9) I paid for lawn maintenance, but Realty Execs couldn't get them to pick up the cut grass, instead it just laid there killing my grass. I paid Realty Execs to manage and notify me about issues regarding my property. I told them they stole $5,000 from me, and their responses were all pre-coordinated. First off, I want to preface this review with the fact that we did receive nearly all of our deposit back; we were charged $49 to replace a light bulb under the microwave that never worked & the standard re-keying fee. My husband moved to the area in June 2015 & during our rental search we had a difficult time finding clean homes that met our standards (if you're moving to the area, brace yourself). We actually really liked another rental agency; however, at the time they did not have a home that suited our needs. Oddly enough, we currently rent a home from them now (more on that later). My husband found the home we eventually rented from Realty Executives & since the search had gone longer than anticipated, we quickly applied & were approved for the house. My advice prior to moving into any home in the area is to examine the construction closely (and this is not a ding at Realty Executives). I later learned that there are some neighborhoods with poorly built homes & we happened to rent one. Our neighborhood was known for roofing issues & during a windstorm the roof lost shingles. Fortunately it didn't rain & since I reported it immediately, there was no further damage to the house. However, it was apparent from poor repairs that another portion of the roof was previously damaged & subsequently sustained water damage inside the home. During your initial walk-through, document everything. They will examine the house with a fine tooth comb during your move-out, so do yourself a favor & do the same when moving in. I completely understand that this is to protect the homeowner's investment, but as a renter, it's important to understand their methods to protect your deposit as well. If there is so much as a speck of dirt, paint, etc. on the wall that doesn't belong there, document it because you better believe they will document it during your move-out inspection. They also do move-in and move-out videos for comparison, but I wouldn't rely on that as evidence except for major flaws with the house. Previous reviewers commented that they lost all or a portion of their deposit for the rental being dirty & quite frankly from what I've seen in the area I'm not surprised. I literally scrubbed the toilets in this rental house for hours to get the years of mineral deposits removed as I would be embarrassed for someone to see them in the condition they were turned over to us, and waged a 10-month war against the stove to remove years of build-up. Weekly cleanings go a long way with avoiding these issues, but I digress. Whenever we called in a work order/repair, Realty Executives was fairly quick to respond & coordinate repairs. At this point you may be wondering why I'm giving them a 2 star review. It all stems from our move-out experience. We were within the window to renew our lease with approximately 3 weeks or so remaining & had previously informed Realty Executives of our intention to renew when we received a phone call that the owners were moving back in & therefore we had to vacate the property. Honestly, we hated the house (poor construction, constant issues, really bad lot ... the list could go on and on), but since moving is expensive we thought we would ride it out for the duration of our time in the area. Realty Executives stated that they really wanted to keep us as customers and would do anything they could to help us. I set up an appointment to see three homes we were interested in. During the appointment, they did not show me one of the homes I wanted to see & instead took me to a home that was still owner-occupied (again we had 3 weeks to move) & in an area roughly 5-10 miles outside our desired location. Strike 1. The second home was a wash, & the final home they showed me had been neglected for some time; worms (I'm assuming wood worms) fell out from the bottom of the back door when I opened it to look at the overgrown backyard. Strike 2. Following this search, Realty Executives did not one time follow-up with us to see if we were interested in the homes or to show us additional homes. Strike 3. Regarding your deposit, you can expect to receive it in 3-4 weeks. However, we are still waiting on a refund for over-payment of rent (paid a full month versus prorated amount), & just today were informed that we would receive it once the homeowner returned the money. I'm not really sure why they're withholding our money when they overpaid the owners with the knowledge that we were being forced to vacate mid-month. We've been in our new home for about 6 weeks & couldn't be happier! The home is gorgeous, well-maintained, well constructed, & the new location cut my husband's commute in half. Additionally, the other rental agency utilizes a great web page to pay rent & request work orders on the house. Although this may seem minor, it's 2016 and expect this level of automation. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Do not rent through them. They're HORRIBLE. Horrible customer service, rude employees, rude property managers. The house we rented from them was dirty upon arrival and expected to be cleaned spotless for move out when it was DISGUSTING when we moved in. House had MAJOR issues. They tried to break the Missouri tenant laws by attempting to force our roommate to sign into a new lease once our regular lease was broken due to military orders and more than 50% of tenants vacating the house. Deplorable at BEST! Can't wait to move out of our lease. Too many problems with home we moved into because my wife is here in St. Robert for active Duty. Didn't bother to verbally tell us we had to find a lawn service and was charged $70 for changing out an air filter. Leasing office didn't say anything, nor did the maintenance guy. Bought air filters at WalMart and did them myself. Will never call them again because they like to extort people on a maintenance call that ought to be free and doesn't take long, but I learned. Sorry Reality/leasing company. If possible...SERIOUSLY stay away. As of 8/30/2019- they have a 2.3 rating out of 5 on Google. That should tell you something. Their Facebook rating is a 3.5 out of 5 stars for their horrible service they provide. I had to take over 70 pictures to show them all the defects with this duplex home...cannot wait to leave. Terrible excuse of a "professional staff" if you are a home owner and wonder why tenants keep moving in and out, more than likely it's the experience they are having with Reality Executives. We've paid in the drop box one night and they swore we were missing $100 we knew the entire amount was in fact in there as we counted it 3 times and the bank teller counted it to us twice. Now as we put in a 30 day notice they want us to sign papers that should have been signed when we first signed the lease. Also we seen that they never put our last months rent in the system so it now shows we owe 1400 instead of 1100. Which we do have our receipt to prove it was paid. These people try take advantage of people because they think everyone they rent to are military who won't have time to fight them. They have now messed with the wrong who tenants who will be taking legal action. read more

Avoid like the plague! The company repeatedly failed to fix things I identified as wrong. 1. When I moved in they would not change the locks from the previous tenant or provide any garage door openers. Only after I complained to management were these things fixed. 2. The outlet in the master bedroom that SMOKED WHEN USED was never fixed. 3. The back deck was allowed to rot through. Two of the three stairs on the deck rotted through and were unsafe to use. 4. The fireplace was not fixed in two years. 5. Items broken in the initial walk through were not fixed. Finally, throughout the renting process I was contacted several times to buy a home. Absolutely the worst rental experience i have ever had. Expect frivolous deductions from your security deposit. I would strongly recommend taking a video survey of the entire property prior to signing the move in inspection. This way you will have evidence to defend yourself later. $950 Deposit - only $50 returned!!! Take note of the lengthy rebuttals to every negative comment listed below. This is a hallmark of a bad business trying fix its reputation when consumers are unhappy with the service provided!!! If you are a Soldier absolutely find someone else to rent through! They will literally wait until you have PCS'd away from the area to tell you what you are being charged for. And at that point you will have zero ability to contest since you will not be able to represent yourself in person without great expense. if i could give a zero i would. let me describe my credit. my score on equifax is 680 in the last 7 years i have missed zero payments. i have 15 year verifiable history of all payments on time never lat to my landlord. 3 years ago i purchased a home for $200,000 and now selling it for $320,000 in arizona again with zero missed or late payments. i am looking to move from az back to mo. i am a nurse with 2 verifiable jobs in missouri (one full time one prn) making $6149.87 a month. this company wants $50 per person over 18 yo living in the home. so i paid the $100 for me and my wife. this company denied us, even their report shows the exact same thing. run from this company there is a reason why they have limited stars they will rob you of your money and deny you in the end. i have worked for corrections for 28 years this is one of the biggest cons i have seen. i wish i could leave my number and copies of all my info and i would prove to all who ask. read more

I meant to write this much sooner, but better late than never! After doing much of my research prior to finding a home to rent, we decided to go with a home through Realty Executives. I cannot say enough about them! There are negative comments everywhere, but as a tenant, I looked past that and I'm glad I did! After reading through the reviews, it was clear to me that Realty Executives has a high standard and I can expect to move into a CLEAN and GREAT home with my family; we have three kids, so naturally that is the kind of home I wanted. I'm not sure about some of the other comments saying the "girls" do not dress professional, they do not take their jobs seriously etc.... because my husband and I had a great experience with them! I was a little worried before we walked into the company, but I thought every last one of them looked professional. The receptionist welcomed us and was just too sweet. Right away we knew that we were in the right place. We found exactly what we were looking for and have now been living in the home for almost two years now. So been here for 2plus years, water power suck 3 bathroom but only one person can bath/shower... if the washing machine is on there will be no hot water. If the dish washer is on no hot water...One day there was No hot water so we call and spoke with the manager we were told Hot Water is not a emergency to boil water and use.Like really hot water is not a emergency... so the next day they sent someone to check it out the boiler there was a piece that was broken off....we was only living here about 2years....as we were about to leave we schedule an appointment for them to show new tenants the place we agreed a certain day and time now we have kids living here as well..The Agent that was sent to show the family the house just walked into the home walked past my nephew waved like he lives here.like really WTF... he took the new tenants down stairs like he lives here... with no hi we are hear to show these ppl the place...3 flours there is the Man knocked the door 3 times and let his self in.mind you its 3flours to the house so knocking 3 times how could anyone here anything in this house that has 3flours...no door bell was rung ...we call the office and the lady that answer the phone said That was policy !!!!! He follow There policy ..how could that be ? I meant to write this much sooner, but it wasn't until a friend of mine recently had her own incident with Realty Executives that it reminded me I had not yet posted my initial review. I hope this helps the next person looking for a home to rent. As a military spouse coming from another state, this was such a difficult experience with a property management company. I found a home that I fell in love with on a Wednesday and scheduled with ***** to come in that following Saturday to view it and sign the leasing paperwork. I explained I was 4 hours away and wanted to make sure it did not get rented out from under me. I said is there anything I need to put down on it just in case. ****** explained that the application I submitted would hold the home. I called ***** again the next day to make sure there wasn't anything else they needed from me. ***** stated she was good to go and would see me on Saturday. Low and behold **** contacted me on Friday (the next day and the day before I was to arrive and sign paperwork) and stated someone had came in that day and rented the place. She did not sound very apologetic but simply as if she was calling me with an update. I was immediately agitated that for starters she gave me false information regarding my application holding the home for 3 days. I then went on to scold her as to why I was not given a proper courtesy call and given the opportunity, since I was the first application on the home, to bring in a money order the next day as previously discussed. She went onto provide poor excuse that the couple who had came in had money in hand and they wanted to see it immediately. I then explained, where is your professionalism? You could not have explained to this couple that there was an application hold already on the home and you would need to contact that person and determine their continued interest in signing the lease? And her response was only a halfhearted apology. Realty Executives unfortunately fall short on their professionalism and customer service. They are great at advertising their patriotism but sadly it did not show for me the military spouse whose husband was deployed at the time of the application trying to get a home from another state 4 hours away. They should really take a long look at their standards and training their staff. read more

My husband and I attempted to PAY them to manage our home while we moved. We placed ads on Craig's list and rollanet. We also had our home cleaned, not only by myself, but by a professional cleaner. (That I work for) Then they ask me...the home owner for proof! Um no...that's what I pay you for and what walk throughs are for. My profession is a professional cleaner! So not only am I offended, but I'm flat out steaming by this. We left a grill in the garage and they claim that we left our house a mess! They must be kidding me!?!? Stay away from this company...Also we contracted our own lawn care professional and provided the pictures for them. We basically did the work for them...how hard is it to show the home to people. Also whenever I go into the office I get talked downed to like I'm an idiot. And quite frankly if I were new to this area I wouldn't feel comfortable with my husband near that office. I worked with many realty offices when I found out I was moving to the Fort Leonard Wood area, and Realty Executives was by far the most caring and friendly one I dealt with. I told them my budget and what I was looking for, and they found homes for me to view when we got to the area. The person who showed me the homes was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and she made the process smooth and painless. Thanks to Realty Executives, my family and I have a beautiful, well-maintained home. I was so impressed with their level of caring and their willingness to work with me. I am also impressed with how quickly they have gotten my work orders taken care of. This is, in my opinion, the best realty company in the area. I will definitely rent from them again if we come back to the area! read more

I wish I could give negative stars. What a disaster! Moving in and out! Do not expect to get your deposit back. The house looked better than when we moved in and yet everything was still "dirty". Your best off just moving out and letting them take your deposit. Don't waste your time fixing the fence that was broken before you moved in because they will whine that the one board is new and not weathered like the rest. Don't clean anything because it simply won't be good enough. I have OCD and an insulted to say the least at the way the inspection went. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO RENT YOUR HOME!!! I wish there would be an option for 0 stars. Never again. Rented through them for a year and moving out was a bitch. The lady who did our move in inspection only took 15 min and everything we pointed out to her what we thought was wrong was a wear and tear according to her. The lady who did our move out inspection took almost 2 hours and of course how could it be any different, she wrote the wear and tear things on her list as broken. Nothing was good enough for them. I kept this place in clean condition at all times. After we got told we have to hire a cleaning crew, we went with a company who wasn't suggested by realty executives. Bad choice!!!! Cleaning crew had to come out twice (cost us over 500 dollars) and even after the 2nd cleaning it wasn't good enough. They didn't even know what to clean anymore. I went in and talked to the manager. All of a sudden everything was taken care of until i received our final inspection letter in the mail saying they will have to keep most of the deposit because several things were broken. It's useless talking to them. You won't get anywhere. We got a total of $2.90 back from our deposit. In my eyes this is an insult. read more

Bottom line, I would highly recommend using literally any other rental agency before you come to this business. The staff and business practices of Realty Executives are some of the most unprofessional I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up on the Fort Leonard Wood black list in the near future. I was disappointed in their lack of morality when it comes to returning a security deposit; they took about half of mine and offered little to no explanation. When I tried to argue it, clearly catching some of their faults, they told me that they looked into it and it was determined that I am still liable to pay (Great reasoning right? I moved out of the state and they knew there was really nothing I could do about it). If you are like me and need to find a place to stay really fast and have to use Realty Executives here are a few tips: 1. ABSOLUTELY note every fault in the house on the move-in inspection, I'm talking about scuff marks, dents in the walls, holes in the screens, dirt, trash, etc. The inspection sheet is too small so I would recommend adding an additional piece of paper (they will still try to charge you for these faults, even if you note them in the inspection. Just know these people are crooks, don't make it easier for them) 2. Take pictures of every fault you note in the move-in inspection, make them detailed and keep them until you receive your security deposit refund. We took about 20 pictures of things that were broken before moving in and we were still charged for and that still wasn't enough to get any money back, I recommend taking many more. 3. 30 days MINIMUM before your lease terminates, go down to the office and tell them you need to put in your move-out notification. It makes absolutely no sense, your lease has a termination date but you still need to tell them you are moving out on that date. If you do not do this, you are liable for rent for 30 days after you tell them you are moving out (even if it is after your lease termination date). 4. Be weary of every piece of paper you sign with these people. Just remember that you are dealing with some very shady business practices here, they will come off as nice and caring at first, but the first problem you run into you will see that they have absolutely no problem throwing you under the bus. 5. If there are no garage door remotes in the house when you move in, note in on the inspection checklist. We didn't note it because we didn't think the home came with any, then they charged us for two new remotes when we moved out. They claimed they had a video of the remotes on the counter, but it was a video of the previous tenants move-out, a month earlier, and you cant even see the remotes in the video... 6. We had a pool at our house, when we arrived it was about as green as a swamp. It took them about 2-3 weeks to get someone sent out to "fix" it; when it was fixed it wasn't green anymore but you couldn't see anymore than six inches or so into the water. When we moved out it was clear and a little dirty, but definitely FAR better than the condition it was after being "fixed" and they charged us $190 to have it cleaned. They just wanted someone else to foot the bill for an annual pool cleaning. classic 7. The day of my move in the cleaning crew was at the house (why they scheduled the cleaning for the day I was supposed to move in is beyond me). The agent I had been working with called me and asked me if I could go somewhere else or find something to do until they were done. I had just moved half way across the country and my entire life was in my vehicle and uhaul trailer, so I sat at Buffalo Wild Wings and thought about how unprofessional and disorganized this company is. Call ahead and make sure these smart people don't jack up your move in date. If this review saves one person some money and frustration it was worth writing, I wish I had listened to the other reviews and gone with a different business or rented from a homeowner; I wouldn't have had $500 stolen from my security deposit and wouldn't have to write this review. read more
