Vince's was kind enough to squeeze me in and fix my car that day. They gave me 2 options to fix my car (either replace my steering column, or try a sealant and thicker steering fluid). I didnt feel any pressure to go the more expensive route and they explained the pros and cons of both approaches. I decided to try the sealant approach first and I greatly appreciate having a choice and not being forced into an expensive fix on my older Subaru. This approach worked and they even tighten my belts as well as buffed out my headlight for free. I would recommend Vince's Auto Repair without hesitation to anyone.

I was given a loaner car immediately, and after they checked everything over, they sent me an electronic file with all the recommended repairs--clearly itemized with costs broken out. When I spoke with Casey, the owner, he took the time to go over everything with me. I explained my situation--deciding between keeping the car or trading it in--and his honesty really stood out. He told me that if I planned to trade it in, there was no need to spend money beyond the inspection since, with high mileage, the dealer would likely just auction it off anyway. That advice wasn't in his best business interest, but it was absolutely the right thing to say, and it meant a lot. If I decided to keep the car, he had the repairs prioritized so I could take care of the most important items first and handle the rest over time. I decided to keep it, and the repairs they completed were done quickly and done right. The noises were gone, and what had been a rough, bumpy ride was suddenly smooth again. While driving, the car shut off and we were almost stranded on the roadside. Luckily I was able to find this shop near by and limped in with the service engine light on. I said ok, then the lady at the counter I was talking to said "hold on" she then walked back to speak with the young newbie looking mechanic in the back. When she came back out she all of a sudden doubled my price quote to around $500 and tried to say you need both front ends done! I left and went to Classic Auto and had him look it over. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it and charged me 60% LESS than C&J Tire! Needless to say I now bring my vehicles here to Classic Auto!
