When we were planning our wedding, we watched a LOT of online videos of other weddings to get an idea of how we wanted our special day to be. We happened to stumble upon the website of Reb6Studios and just absolutely loved their videos! We did a little more research and shopping around on the interwebs and finally decided that Reb6 would be our best option based on price, quality and availability. We contacted Sigmund by filling out a little questionnaire on their website. Booking, deposits and payments were pretty easy through Google Wallet. We communicated mostly via email and they were good with answering any questions we might have had, and questions we never thought of asking. We aren't the most creative of peoples, so we trusted their creative prowess to make our video memorable and original. The day of our wedding was made less stressful by Sigmund and his crew. They were there (in Monterey) early and coordinated well with our wedding coordinator and our still photographers. Right from the get go, they went out of their way to stay out of our way =) They were able to get some great footage of all of the important parts of the wedding. Our wedding was in September, and the CDs and DVDs were delivered in March. Not too bad, considering other friends of ours waited nearly a year for theirs from other vendors. Hiring Reb6Studios was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding. We searched very hard for a videographer. We watched numerous videos online from other videographers but we were most drawn to Reb6's style and editing. When we met Sigmund and Mariane of Reb6 and saw how friendly and easygoing they are and learned how they work and what they offer, we knew that this was the videographer for us. We filmed our "Love Story" video one day and my husband and I never acted before so we were a bit nervous about acting out the scenes. They capture the little details from the wedding in a way that's creative and makes an impact. The picture and sound quality are excellent and the different camera angles create depth and interest. WOW to the power of 10! And wow again!! My husband and I were married on 9.8.2012 up in Healdsburg wine country and decided to hire a videographer. It was a very last minute decision, as we didn't think we had it in our budget. But a month or so before our wedding, it dawned on me that I would miss SO much of our ceremony being the bride (because as the Bride, you are the last one to walk down the aisle). Just wanted to write an update now that we've gotten our post-wedding package and we've seen the feature film. I was expecting amazing because so far, that is how ALL of their work is...but my husband and I cannot even express how in LOVE and moved we are by the feature film. They captured every amazing moment of the day, and Sigmund & Co's editing prowess is unbelievable. He weaved in clips from our engagement video with clips from the day and made a movie that was sooo touching and felt so us. Sigmund and his wife are amazing. They came out for my son's 1st birthday party @ SF Zoo and the shots they took were beautiful! I just wish they could've showed the clips of my guest a little slower and less animals and more shots of my friends and family. You'll see that I don't write many reviews, but I really had to take the time to say some words about Reb6Studios (...if you're deciding who to trust with the videography of your wedding Reb6Studios is a great choice and I would inquire with Sigmund ASAP as he stays pretty busy.) My husband and I decided to hire a videographer for our wedding very very late in the game. We were a little lazy about finding one b/c we weren't positive that it was going to be a proper use of our strict budget. When we (actually my sister-in laws) found Reb6Studio it was weeks before the wedding and luckily for us our date was the one weekend they had available. One of Reb6's specialties is how they truly take time with the couple...however for us, we didn't have that time b/c we were booking them so late in the game, nor did we have much room in the W-Day schedule for special time with them. Knowing this, I resigned to the idea that 'at least we'd have a record of the wedding day on film.' ...my expectations were exceeded! This week I received my DVDs! (which feel more like mini-movies!!) I cannot find the right/enough words to express how impressed, and grateful I am for their talent and their ability to truly capture the character of our family, friends and our special day! AMAZING! My husband and I were engaged for over 2 years, so we had plenty of time to plan our wedding. We were looking less for high production value with fancy editing and drones and more for just showing what happened at our wedding and capturing the essence in that way. We spoke with a few Videographers after explaining what we wanted and Reb6 came back with a VERY reasonably priced offer, much lower than the competition, and based on their positive reviews I decided to work with them. They provided exactly what we wanted and their two videographers did a great job of highlighting the most important parts of our wedding and the editing was great as well. A lot of our friends hired Reb6Studios for their wedding. We loved the quality of their work and it was a no brainer who were going to hire when it came time for us to pick a videographer. My husband and I weren't going to get a videographer for our 6.18.11 wedding because we thought it would be corny and not that great.... like a home video. We didn't think we should waste our money. THEN we saw the wedding video from my husband's cousin's wedding.... FABULOUS. His cousin lives on the East Coast so we knew we couldn't get their videographer... and so began our hunt. We inquired with so many people, but they were already booked for our day... then FINALLY we found Sigmund!! He was available and his work was AWESOME.... and not to mention his prices are perfect and his packages include soooo much!!! Our feature film is unbelievable!!!!! When it comes to the 10-minute feature, Reb6studios' attention to detail is truly unmatched. They caught - and edited together - every special moment of tour day PERFECTLY. The music was impeccably suited to each section - Reb6 has definitely discovered a killer recipe for amazing wedding films :) Now, onto the details... I've always known I didn't want to skimp on my wedding video -- it's the only way you can truly remember the special day that only occurs once in a lifetime (well... for many). When my husband proposed, I started to build a list in my head of all the things we needed to do. Finding a fabulous videographer was at the top of my list. I began searching on Google and came across a few vendors who's videos I liked. I narrowed it down to three and requested pricing. Reb6studios had the best package options for the best pice, but I still wanted to meet the team to make sure our personalities were a match. We met with Sigmund and instantly knew he was our guy! This review is strictly for the story video services from Reb6Studios. The only reason we didn't hire Reb6Studios to videograph our wedding was because we had a destination wedding in Hawaii. About a month before our wedding I decided that it would be fun and different to show a story video instead of a typical slideshow of baby pictures. I started searching for a videographer that could do a quality story video given the tight timeline for a reasonable price. We were quoted for hundreds more (as much as $1400 more!) from other videographers in the Bay Area. Finally, we decided on Reb6Studios based on the videos from their website and price. What a great decision! We're so happy with the final product and all our friends are still commenting on how creative and funny the video was! We couldn't be happier with final product from Reb6Studios! To summarize, here are the reasons why Reb6Studios is so awesome: - Sigmund and team was able to film, edit and hand deliver an awesome story video for us to show at our wedding in exactly 5 days!!!!! - The price that Reb6Studios charged to put together the story video was significantly less than what other videography companies quoted. Yet, the quality of the video was not compromised at all! - Sigmund contributed significant creative input to our story. We wanted something different and funny. Definitely not something generic and sappy. Sigmund integrated our ideas, added some of his own and put together a story that tied nicely together. The end product far exceeded our expectations. - Sigmund was thorough and very proactive in the entire process. He asked me the right questions to get to know us. Then I sent him some sample videos that I liked, told him some of my ideas and he basically ran with it. He wrote out a simple script, drew out scenes beforehand and brought that with him on the day of the shoot to make sure that he didn't miss anything. I could tell that he spent a lot of time preparing for our shoot. - Sigmund was patient, flexible and made us feel at ease. First of all, he was early and we were late on the day of the shoot but Sigmund said no problem, he'll wait. Also, when we finally showed up, we suddenly decided to make some changes to the original story. Again, Sigmund said no problem and worked with us to come up with something else. Then when we started filming, I was very tense and camera shy. Again, no problem. Sigmund patiently coached me and did many, many takes. I really thought I was going to crash and burn but in the final product, all of my bad takes were edited out. - The story video was one of the things that made our wedding memorable for our guests, A TOTAL HIT! After the wedding, people commented: "That video was so funny!" or "Did you guys come up with that yourselves?" Even our local videographer and photographer commented and asked "Wow, who made that video for you? How did you find them?" Seriously, if you want your guests to remember something fun and different (in a good way) about your wedding, Sigmund can put together a story video that will do exactly that! I don't remember how I did, but I remember watching one of their videos and getting the feels (my favorite part about wedding videos) and I thought to myself, "THIS is what I want!!". Hiring REB6Studios as our trusted videographers was the absolute best gift my husband and I could have given to each other, our families (especially our parents), our friends, wedding party, and even our wonderful wedding vendors. Allow me to share why anyone reading this review should not hesitate to hire REB6Studios to *perfectly* capture one of the most important days of their life! Professional & Detail-Oriented: I worked with Sigmund in completing the online application/questionnaire and making payments. Based on the questions contained in the questionnaire, I knew that REB6 was meticulous and they think of everything. (?s around extra special moments we wanted captured, music choices, wedding day program + timelines, names of and relations to all significant people, etc.). The process of filling out the web-based forms and submitting the money was simple and straight-forward. The REB6 team showed up to our wedding on time (early, actually) and were completely set up and rolling by the time I arrived. They were stealthy - moving around quickly and quietly and they were dressed professionally. What's nuts to me is that I barely remember talking to them that day yet they captured EVERYTHING we asked and more. They need no direction whatsoever. Also, our DVDs were delivered on the early end of the delivery timeframe! They were daintily wrapped in "tiffany blue" colored bows and in a really nice brown box for safekeeping. Personable & Kind: Your wedding vendors shouldn't be ego-maniacs, rude, or have difficult personalities. Those vendors are known to ruin precious moments leading up to the wedding, during the wedding, or even after. What I loved most about Sigmund and Mariane, next to their awesome talent, is that they are a sweet loving couple who are humble, patient, great communicators, and clearly enjoy spending a huge chunk of their time in life creating artful memories of love-filled days that will last a lifetime and beyond. I don't think they will ever tire of doing what they do. And speaking of being tired (or not rather), their energy levels never faded as they recorded our 8+ hour day. I remember telling them it was OK to leave at the end of the night when it was past their contracted time! Sigmund asked, "are you sure?" I said, "Yes! it's Ok! Your time is up anyways! Go ahead! I swear!" Yet all 3 of them equally hesitated before finally agreeing to call it a wrap for the night. So yeah, did I mention dedicated?? Experienced & Crazy-Talented: Our Feature Film left my husband and I, as well as our families speechless. It made us cry and my God did it make us laugh. Especially for the Feature Film, REB6 highlighted so many unique moments (again-w/out our direction and on their own) such as my mom's smart-a*s personality, as depicted in the snippets they caught of her roasting me during her speech. It was classic. They are incredibly skillful with putting together the transitions, music, their choice of moments, etc. etc.. (This is not your Uncle's boring and continuously-streaming wedding video from 1996 - that's for sure! ) The application asked that we choose some songs we'd like for the videos, and I begrudgingly chose some for the sake of completing the application. But I told Sigmund that I wanted to turn all creative license over to him. After seeing all the videos that preceded ours, I knew I wanted a product that would be of equal caliber and turning the wheel over to him was the only way I knew we'd achieve that. And we did. :) Finally, I want to add that I enjoy photography and videography as a hobby. I'm surrounded by fellow enthusiasts who are exceptionally talented so I was going to be extremely picky about who I hired to do our videography. And generally speaking, fresh, creative and modern videography often comes with a price tag that is hard to digest. So with all that, I had pretty much ruled videography out of the wedding day equation...until my best friend sent REB6's website link my way a few months before the wedding. Hiring Reb6studios was the last big decision we made for our wedding, and we very nearly didn't because we thought we didn't need a videographer since we already had great photographers... But after having watched so many of their videos online which all brought tears to my eyes, I didn't want to have any regrets; so we were lucky enough to book them last minute. Sigmund at REB6 did an amazing job with our wedding video. It was nice to see all the details of the wedding captured and Sigmund also managed to capture our personalities in the video as well. All of us watching the videos laughed and cried and felt that we were at the wedding day once again. Throughout the entire process, Sigmund was always just an email, phone call or text away. Planning a wedding for the Monterey area from SoCal was difficult, but Sigmund was always available for a phone call and meeting when we were in the area. For our package we also purchased the "love story" where we re-created some memories of where we met and how we started dating. Many of my cousins had wedding engagement videos during their ceremony, so we had to deliver at the reception. It was so much fun to shoot and it was great to watch at the reception with the rest of or guests. It was way better than a photo slide show. It was a hit with all of our guests (who continued to watch it online for the following month). We had a lot of ideas on our end but Sigmund delivered something that was truly amazing, funny, and heartfelt. Sigmund is truly an artist with amazing talent. Sig from Reb6 did a fantastic job during our wedding. He was very enthusiastic about filming the whole wedding process, and even gave us pointers on how to position ourselves to be captured. We are so happy with Reb6Studios! My husband and I knew we wanted a videographer from the beginning. The only problem was choosing one as there are so many choices, both good and bad. PERFECT. I was looking for a videographer to capture my wedding day and I wanted the BEST of the best. I fell in love with REB6Studios after watching some feature films on their websites. Planning a wedding, let alone a destination wedding, is not an easy task. There are so many wedding videographers/cinematographers in the Bay Area. Many of them have films that are edited the same way, and the only thing that changes is the couple in them. My husband & I searched long and hard for a videographer that would provide us with great video footage of our wedding day but who also fit within our budget. After seeing the feature films Reb 6 had on their website & blog, we knew we had to have them. Not only did they fit in our budget, but their feature films were like out of a movie. We didn't even know this existed, but this is exactly what we wanted. What was particularly great about Reb 6 is that they already have the dates they are booked for on their website. I really liked that they were a no-nonsense company and valued their customer's time by doing this. This is unique because unlike other companies, you'd have to contact them to see if they are even available for that wedding date at all. Reb 6 kept in contact with us throughout our wedding planning process. They made it easy for us to do this by setting up an online account with them. They were also very responsive by email. We just received our DVD and it is absolutely beautiful! For our feature film, Reb 6 captured all the right moments, highlighted our wedding details--down to the crystals on my shoes, and did it all so masterfully. Everything was set to the right music. Our vows were expressed throughout the film capturing the essence to the day. It really takes a team with a creative eye behind the lens to capture these moments & piece them together in such a unique way that every time you watch your feature film you re-live those moments again. And you just want to keep watching it over & over again! What I also really love is our documentary DVD which chronicles the events throughout the day, which they also set to music! I was only expecting raw or partially edited footage, so I was thoroughly surprised! I am very happy with the product that this company produced for us--something straight out of a movie.
