THERE IS RACISM ON DISPLAY!!! - THERE IS A CONFEDERATE FLAG PAINTED IN THE WINDOW OF THIS BUSINESS ON THE NORTH SIDE! Haley, the fact that you think it's funny to put Yoda to distract from the fact that there is a confederate flag shows how ignorant you sound. It's not funny. The confederate flag represents racism and they employees are complicit. You should tell them to take the confederate flag down and not try to make a light hearted joke out of RACISM. I've lived here for years and I've gone into the Rebel late at night. All you hear is chatter about mexicans taking jobs, dirty black.. Etc. Don't believe me? Have you white friend sneak in there and start talking about anything considered racist. They will jump right in. There is a lot of still racism north of Vancouver, WA that is thankfully being pushed out by developers. All of KALAMA is not racist, just some bad apples. They are leaving in droves because the nepotism and racism is being exposed slowly as each town council meeting goes by. More people are speaking up and against this GOOD OLD BOY network here. Avoid this truck stop and just go down to the next exit to the Cheveron, it has no confederate flags but, plenty of bikers wearing confederate flag t-shirts. Racism on display. As the name suggests, this place displays their confederate flag prominently. Also behind the counter is a sign that states "Let the Revolution Begin" with a drawing of a a green alien (irony?) holding a gun. I would not feel safe coming here if I was a minority. There is a perfectly nice ARCO about 10miles north on I-5. read more

I can't speak on the gas prices, because I don't come here to get gas. But as for the pumps themselves, they look clean and easy to use. Major pro, because sometimes that's not the case. As for the minit mart, man oh man is it one of my favorites. It always has a selection of beverages I'm looking for...and often has new varieties available a few days or even a week, before release. Prices aren't terrible either. It's a relatively clean minit mart too. Also relatively spacious, and I'm drawing a blank...but there's diner tables I think? I'm 99% certain. As for the non-beverage selection, always stellar too. ON TOP OF the hot food at the register. I live in an unusual setting, we have a whole three-story building to ourselves. There's a minit mart across the street...no hot food. This place satisfies that urge. Now for the main event: the chicken on top of the building. I call this "the chicken store" and my FRIENDS know where I mean. This IS the chicken store. I always saw that chicken as a very young child, and wanted to go there. As for employees, you know I've never seen the same worker twice. I've never had any problems, though. I just can't name a particularly outstanding person. Overall, this checks every box. Clean gas station, clean minit mart with good selection, and a chicken on the roof...maybe that last box doesn't need to be checked everywhere. I can't recommend this place enough!

On the basis of that long experience, I would highly recommend this fuel center because of its convenient location in a good neighborhood, easy-in/out, and their clean/uncluttered lot. Now it seems, I have to drop the "highly" from my praise. In the past week I've been inconvenienced/delayed on consecutive visits by malfunctions of their computer system - momentary interruptions or unexpected reboots - either before or while I was pumping gas. Long lines form at the window while the clerk vaguely explains to each customer that we can't pump gas (or pay with credit or debit card, or get receipts for gas already pumped), because their "system has gone down". Not good, Fred Meyer. Ger 'er fixed, or customers like us (who pass up other gas stations to get to your fuel center) will soon stop visiting your location.
