People say the wings were small in other reviews but they taste far superior in my opinion and are cooked more consistently. I didn't care for the smell outside but non the fault of the place.

My flight was delayed in Atlanta, and it was past midnight, so I took a uber to this place,…read moreaccording to ChatGPT's recommendation. The chicken wings were just okay, but the main reason I came was because the place was open so late, making it convenient to try Atlanta's specialties. It was a limited-time experience! Sweet & Sassy Wingz: Their signature flavor. The chicken was over-fried, and the meat was a bit dry. Most importantly, it was coated in a thick layer of sauce, so sweet it was almost too sweet to eat... L. Pepper Wet Wingz: As an Atlanta specialty, this chicken wing was relatively interesting. The initial taste was an intense lemon sourness, almost making you shiver, followed by the warm spicy aroma of black pepper. If the sourness could be toned down, it would be quite good. The chicken wings were still overcooked, and because there was no sauce, the meat was even drier. But I don't know if this is a problem or part of their specialty? Season Friez: Although it was hot, it was already soggy and soft. I consoled myself, "Just grab something quick..." Side Salad: A meatless version of Caesar salad. The bread was so hard I couldn't even stick it in with a fork, but thankfully the lettuce was fairly fresh. Google Maps shows they're open until 3 AM, but they actually don't offer dine-in service after midnight, and the area outside is practically homeless's paradise. Please be careful!

The two letters imply a term that emphasizes the extent of one's hunger. One of those words is a four letter word. Regardless of this racy restaurant name, I decided to give this place a try. While the fries were cooked well and perfectly seasoned, the sandwich needs improvement. There was a minimal amount of jerk sauce; If I wanted an extra cup of the sauce, there is an up charge. The interior of the restaurant could also use some work. While I appreciate the attempt of providing a wall AC unit, the electric sliding entrance door kept opening and closing. All of the cool air was escaping making the inside feel humid. There are plenty of table top counters with high rise chairs. However, the chairs do not have back support and they are not comfortable. I actually ended up standing while dining. I tried to give this location a chance. While it may appeal to a younger crowd, it definitely did not catch my eye. #hungryaf #atlantaga #jerkchickencheesesteak #hungryafchain

The space has a lively atmosphere with good energy from the moment you walk in. I ordered the crispy boneless thigh half with two sauces, sweet and chili and honey garlic, along with a side of Cajun fries. The chicken was really good, extra crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just the way Korean fried chicken should be. Between the two sauces, the honey garlic was the clear winner for me, with a perfect balance of savory and sweet that kept me going back for more. The Cajun fries were well seasoned and a great complement to the chicken. Our waitress Sieny was friendly, kind, and went above and beyond by offering me a complimentary coffee, a small but thoughtful touch that made the experience even more enjoyable. What sets Pelicana apart is their commitment to quality. They use fresh, all-natural, non-GMO premium chicken and change their oil daily, which you can taste in every bite. The menu is extensive, offering everything from bone-in and boneless options to Korean specials like spicy rice cake, kimchi pancake, and Korean army stew, plus a solid drink menu with Soju cocktails and Korean beers. One thing to be aware of is the automatic gratuity policy, 18% before 10pm and 20% after, so factor that into your budget. Overall a great experience and definitely worth a visit if you are craving authentic Korean fried chicken. Highly recommend!

It wasn't busy at all on a Wednesday night. Signs indicate that you should seat yourself wherever available and to head to the counter to make your order. I ordered takeout, so I can't speak about the dine-in experience here. FOOD: We ordered a double order of the wings and asked for their two most popular flavors, which were the lemony pepper wet wings and some other flavor (couldn't hear the worker clearly, but just went with it). The order came with fries and a choice between ranch or blue cheese dipping sauce. Maybe I am not used to the flavor profile here, but I found the wings to be excessively salty (and I have a preference for salty food). My tongue is still tingling as I write this review. Also, the lemony pepper wings tasted like they were coated in pure citric acid. The other flavor was drowning in sauce. The wings themselves were so dry that it felt like I was eating chicken jerky. SERVICE: Food came out within ten minutes of us ordering. No frills place, so expect no frills service. No complaints. They have a bag-it-yourself policy. TLDR// This might be the first place to actually convince me that overseasoning is actually a thing. Excessively salty, dry chicken wings that my tongue is still paying the price for. Would not come back, and I would try a different spot for lemony pepper wet wings.

Ordered 10 wings: half buffalo-lemon pepper/half lemon pepper, 5 wings in Korean-buffalo with a side of chili cheese fries, and 2 Coors Banquets (cuz we're classy like that. Food came out probably 15 min after and I was ready to dig in. These wings were pretty hyped and with anything popular, I'm always worried I'm going to be disappointed. But OMG these wings are worthy of their hype. The flavor of their sauces is incredible and they hit that desired balance of crispy and juicy. The meat falls off the bone. Tell you what, I'll definitely be back. I've also heard great things about their karaoke nights so that's going on my list as well

The wings were all well seasoned, and even the dry rub wings didn't taste dry. It tasted tender and juicy and I've never experienced that before with dry rub wings. We ordered the lemon pepper buffalo wings, buffalo wings, and Korean bbq buffalo wings and a side of fries. Our favorite was the buffalo wings. It had the right balance of juiciness and flavor. I wouldn't recommend the Korean bbq wings since it didn't have enough tangyness to it and didn't stand out. The French fries are a must order. The fries were so crunchy, and they were still crunchy even towards the end when we were almost finished eating. We arrived 30 minutes before they opened on a Friday and there were already people waiting in the lot which was crazy! It started raining while we were waiting in line and the line got even longer. If you're planning to try The Local, I would recommend coming on a regular weekday or come earlier if you're coming on the weekend because the line is crazy. There is some seating inside and outside the bar. We got there early enough to swipe a table. There were people standing and waiting for a table while waiting for their orders. Service was excellent! Tables are first come first serve. Plenty of parking in the back parking lot. I wouldn't wait in the rain for this but it was definitely worth a try!
