Man they have one of the top fried shrimp meals in my arsenal of shrimp placed. Wings aren't bad either!!!

I'm 28 years old. Atlanta BORN AND RAISED. These some of the best wings I've ever had in this city in my 28 years of life. They slap harder than an angry PIMP!! ON GOD. I'm not Nelly... but I'll be coming here over and over again!! (First time here, regular hot all flat)

Wow! For a sketchy looking little place they highly impressed me. As my family was cruising around the hood, we all seemed to want different foods, we hit about 3 different spots, but I for one just wanted some wings and a good ol' lemonade. I had never stepped inside before and only just passed by but a few of my friends are frequent visitors. The outside was pretty plain and underwhelming, and the parking lot is pretty small and dark so not the best first impression. And the inside pretty bare but with a little seating, colorful menus, a condiment bar and what not. I was unsure about what to get and the cashiers did not rush me at all and patiently waited understandably. (So refreshing!) As we approached they were very friendly and immediately greeted us. They explained how the meals worked and immediately helped me place my order with no hassle, they also let me do half and half wing flavors with no problem! Definitely a plus. The food was out within a few minutes and they smiled while handing us our order and even wished us a good night! The people and service were incredibly friendly and genuine. I got the 10 piece wing meal with fries, celery (for a little extra) and a lemonade. The price came to around 7-8 dollars, not too bad. I had half mild wings and half sweet chili, and boy were they good! The wings were a bit smaller in size but they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The mild was actually mild and not super hot or spicy! I honestly wish I had got some a little spicier, but props to them for actually making them mild! More wing places should take note. The sweet chili was amaaaazing! It was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy and I couldn't get enough of them. I was licking my fingers with every bite. The fries were standard but good, and the lemonade was your typical soda type but still sweet and refreshing. Overall, I was delighted by the amazing service and delicious food! I would definitely recommend and I'll probably be back soon- very soon.

Everything was DELICIOUS. The scallion bubble pancake came out HOT, like hurt-to-touch HOT. It was crispy and airy. It was served with a side of mild curry sauce. The noodles, lamb, and eggplant came out hot temperature-wise as well, but they were also hot spice-wise, especially the cumin lamb. The spice levels cleared my sinuses, LOL. But though I struggled with the spice, I kept on eating because all of the dishes were delicious and flavorful. The tender lamb was served on little skewers. The dry fried eggplant was super crispy; the pieces were shaped like spicy fries. I liked Grandma's noodles even more. The noodles had that bouncy, chewy, hand-pulled feel and were covered in vinegar & hot chili oil. I appreciated the portions. Despite being an appetizer, Grandma's Noodles came out on a large plate, and for being small plates, the eggplant and lamb were pretty filling. The service was also friendly and attentive. My food came out quick, and the staff constantly kept my glass of water filled. My only annoyance was the $1 charge for the bowl of white rice, but the food and service more than made up for that small, inexpensive annoyance.

Parking: For anyone coming here for any occasion make sure you validate your parking with the restaurant. The ONLY parking lot they validate is the one right beside the restaurant! Drinks: I got the strawberry lemon drop drink. It was good and did come with the vodka flavor with natural strawberry syrup. It was good. The vegetable dumpling was good! On to the main entree was the House Lo Mein. It was just average and not the greatest I've tried. It took a minute before our server came back. To me it needed more flavor, seasoning and it didn't have any spice what's so ever! I wouldn't get it again. The thing I found annoying/unprofessional was the staff taking forever to give me and my friend out checks. We came into the establishment an hour before they closed. At that time a lot of people were still in the place. However, by the time we received our checks we were the last people in their establishment. The other individuals were the workers cleaning up. We tried to get a server to come to our table sooner but wasn't successful. This is my sole opinion but I wasn't over impressed over food.

I completely understand that the restaurant has business hours, but it was only three minutes before opening. Also, it's summer and the sunlight is very bright, making it extremely difficult to tell whether the sign is lit or not. The three-minute wait wasn't the issue. What bothered me was the way the staff member spoke to us. It felt more like he was lecturing us than politely communicating with customers. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for us not to come back, and I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!
