They also had a couple of fall lessons over the last few years. She tried to book lessons for a weekend in October and was very aggressively pursued by a young teenager giving lessons to book. Although the price was now much higher, she decided to book 2 half hour lessons for the girls ($200). She was charged $2,500 for some package. The teenager had referred to a package but it was not clear to my daughter that she was being asked to sign up. How do you charge a person that amount without any indication that this charge is being applied to review? What kind of sales strategy is this to make young teenagers hound clients to lure them into a package deal that is not fully explained and charged to their account without giving them the opportunity to review charges and agree to them? This is a scam!

My daughter had been taking lessons and attending summer camp at this farm for years under the old…read moremanagement. We loved this farm. The new management is atrocious. We started lessons again in May and we're not impressed with the rude interactions we had with the new owners but decided to give it a try. The farm attracts large groups of people who do not wear masks or maintain social distancing. Even when the staff was alerted to the fact that they were not following social distancing guidelines this practice continues. On our last visit on Friday there were easily fifty adults and children wandering around none of whom were wearing masks or social distancing. The management doesn't care. When confronted with this, the owner Zev, said it wasn't his job to enforce masks on his property. In addition, we have witnessed groups of children mistreating the animals. On our last visit a child was holding two baby chicks and running around pretending they were airplanes. Animal abuse to which no one said a word! Absolutely disgusting! The owners have just flat out lied on several occasions claiming to have signs requiring masks when in reality there are no signs requiring masks for entry, only a recommendation for social distancing which is not enforced or followed. I have reported this business to both the Rockland Department of Health and the NYS Department of Health. It needs to be shut down. They have shown a flagrant disregard for the health of their staff and visitors.

We go up this time... no horses, new fence, one barn is missing and all I see are sheep. What the frig Ricky?! So I search for other farms and find Lucky C Stables. We randomly drive to this place and just ask out the window if we could feed some horses... to our surprise we were met with smiling faces and even given a tour of the barns!! It was so enjoyable and we met, pet and fed so many cool horse buddies, that I would love to come back and book a trail ride or lesson next time I am around. But Stoneview is definitely the longest time my horses have been boarded. I hope it's like home for them by now. I love the people at Stoneview Farms. It's no drama, no bossing, no rudeness, and no stress. Stoneview Farms is a place where people come to enjoy their time with their horses. I really appreciate that. The schedule is very open but I always check for availability on special days. So far I can visit my horses anytime: 8 pm or 6 am. On holiday days or weekends. This is important since I live 35 miles away and I have a very busy schedule. The barn is kept extremely clean. The horse stalls are 14x14 large. Perfect for really big horses like mine. It has windows that are open in the summer. It never really gets too hot in this barn. I think it is because of the altitude of its location. There is always a nice breeze. The farm also has a large arena, a round pen, a jumping field and a track. The horses are not crowded in their paddocks which means there is plenty of green landscape for our equines to enjoy. The Taddeo family and their employees work tirelessly in improving the previously neglected farm. Every month there is something new, something improved and it makes everyone happy. Its already a gorgeous farm that suits our pocket sizes. Some boarders are serious horse people. They will ride under any weather, and their horses are worked almost daily in their skills. That is always inspiring to me. Some horses there are retired but they look very happy and cared for by their owners. Some horses belong to Eric Taddeo and these are race horses that are worked out almost daily. I really enjoy seeing all this activity. But nobody is preaching and its a very relaxed atmosphere without die hard rules. I do recommend this farm. It's a pity they don't have an indoor or a warm space to hang out in the winter with my children. But I'm certain that eventually it will happen... I love their new instructor Laura Juhlin and she has brought in so much business by teaching horse ridding to children and adults. She is also very easy going and knowledgeable of her horses. Stoneview Farms is the best Warwick secret. They are affordable, kind, home like facility for all sorts of horses and their owners. Thank you guys!

I'm an experienced rider, have been riding and leasing horses since I was a kid, have worked in…read morebarns, have been a certified therapeutic riding instructor, and would not recommend this place because they don't conform to basic safety and horsemanship practices. I won't list all of them - just some highlights. My friend, who is not experienced, wanted to do this trail ride for our birthdays and we thought it would be fun. I've been on trail rides all over the world and know what to expect, and have never pulled out of a ride because I didn't feel safe until this place. I was the first person to be mounted and when the horse came out, I could see that the saddle was improperly placed too far back. I didn't say anything because it's not my place, but when I mounted, the girth was clearly too loose as the saddle started to slip. I told them that the girth was too loose and also that the saddle seemed to far back so Janet said let's reset the saddle and asked me how I would do it! She didn't seem to know the proper placement or how tight to make the girth because apparently this happened before. She then told me to walk down the lawn and let the horse graze while I waited for the rest of the group. It's not a safe practice to let horses graze while mounted, especially with beginners, but apparently that's what they do regularly. When the group was ready to leave, Janet started off on her horse and just about 30 yards from the barn, before even getting to the trail, the horse tripped and fell all the way down to the ground!! Janet fell off of course, and the horse walked off. If I had any doubt that all the red flags I'd clocked were right, this confirmed it. She was shaken up but ok, but didn't go on the ride, I don't know what was up with the horse but if a horse falls down just walking across a lawn, that raises questions about soundness and safety that are serious.

My husband…read moreand I did a one hour trail ride around the property (I think it's around 20 acres) with Linda and Christy (Kristy?) who were both so friendly and helpful. I had gone horseback riding once over the summer, but I am definitely a newbie and Linda guided us on what to do (ex: lean back when going downhill and lean forward when going uphill). I love that we got to walk AND trot and cross streams. My horse Sarge was a former NYPD horse and he was very good and well behaved (although he was quick and ate some grass before I could stop him while on the trail). After we finished, Linda helped take some photos of us and we got to meet the other horses in the stable. I would absolutely recommend coming here!!!

The stable and property is absolutely beautiful and it's not your run of the mill little trek around the property, it's 20 something acres with woods, fields and water to ride through. You can tell from the get go how well cared for the horses are and how much they truly love doing what they do. I've been riding most of my life and they are able to match your horse to your level of riding whether it's just starting or intermediate. Now, I wouldn't recommend this barn to anyone because I had a contractual dispute regarding a lease with Teicia Walker and Marc W. This led to being unceremoniously blocked and then banned from the barn based upon lies and carefully worded threats framed to the barn owner, Gina. (I was paying $550, while another lessor paid $275, others less so- all the while I had to purchase move-x injections, food, made signs for dietary restrictions, always brought fresh nutritious snacks, pampered the horse every time I was there, stayed long hours to prepare him for shows where I wouldn't be showing him, and obtained my own tack trunk, investing in the horse I loved so much). I wanted to resume lessons with another trainer after a time, and Gina allowed me to book. I received a call back from Gina shortly thereafter with an elevated and disrespectful tone stating she doesn't do drama-- I didn't call with drama, I called to book a lesson. Essentially, I was told that if I were to return to the barn for lessons, Teicia would remove her horses from there, which would then lead to a loss of revenue. I was taken off the schedule (sounds a lot like extortion). Is it Teicia's barn or is it Gina's? The inability to discern why, when I had done nothing wrong and only tried to right the course to train with another trainer after a cooling off period, and on the original horse I had trained on previously, I was still told no unless things were worked out with Teicia. There was no working anything out with Teicia as she had been busy defaming my character and making up ridiculous lies to justify removing me from the barn. I wanted to go on days she wasn't there and just leave afterwards, even this was not considered. This is NOT the barn I thought it was, it is only suitable if you enjoy drama, enjoy being defamed, and having your character assassinated because you would not remain silent while being ripped off. Quite a grift, buyer BEWARE.

There's a large range of horses that challenge you at every level of riding. IEA team- they have it, shows- everything from schooling to A rated, clinics- yup. They teach REAL horsemanship! They have working students! It's a real barn where they teach kids (and adults) in and out of the saddle. It's a really great barn.
