Younger crowd, not really my vibe but a few of my buddies like the place. Relatively cheap drinks

Went here on a Saturday night as a group of 3 and it was not very busy. We played some games, but make sure to bring quarters or cash to exchange for quarters. The drinks were reasonably priced. They had 4 speciality cocktails and an open bar.

Love the small old school arcade! The bartender was very helpful and suggestive. Drinks tasted great! Large portion of drink for great price! Haven't been on a weekend, but the weekday is pretty quiet. Perfect time to have a small group of your own to enjoy it.

My wife and I stopped in the other night after working at Liberty Arts Cafe two doors down. It was quiet as could be expected on a weekday evening so I was able to appreciate the "reboot" vibe -- the old school video games (including Donkey Kong, my fav) + a couple of pinball machines + 80s music loud enough to hear but not too loud to talk. Grabbed a couple of comfy seats at the bar. Asked about a cocktail menu. None available which makes sense if this is an 80s reboot bar since cocktail culture really made its comeback in the 90s. My wife asked for something with ginger beer. They didn't have any but the bartender said she makes ginger syrup and offered a cocktail with that. Good job on her part. I ordered an Old Fashioned and asked what rye whiskey they had. NONE. That's a bit of a fail since now that the bourbon craze is cresting, rye is surging. I recommend at least keeping a bottle of old school Old Overholt and maybe another affordable rye like Rittenhouse and even a Knob Creek Rye would be fine for this kind of bar. Since my hand eye coordination isn't what it used to be, I skipped Donkey Kong and played a few games of pinball with my wife (not well). At first the 50 cent price tag stood out, but then I thought if I was playing games for a quarter in the 1980s, 50 cents is still a good bargain for a few minutes of fun. Reboot forms a nice triad with Liberty Arts Cafe and Crafted on this block of Liberty Street.

Time traveled back to my childhood! Love this place and enjoyed playing (and sucking) at the arcade games I played in my teens!!! And most of the games in Reboot are still 25 cents. This place allows kids in the daytime and is over 18 in the evenings.

Awesome place. Don't expect bites or food, but good drinks and heat 80's games! The games are great, felt like my childhood.

A cool setup in there, but a better selection in games would be nice. I was very surprised to not at least see Mario Bros...

My husband was assaulted inside the bar, and the people responsible left before police arrived. To make matters worse, we were told the cameras only livestream and do not record, which was incredibly frustrating because it meant there was no recorded footage available to help identify the people involved. Everyone deserves to enjoy a night out without worrying about their safety. Based on our experience, I would choose a bar with better security measures and recorded surveillance instead.

We had two bartenders taking GREAT CARE of us the entire time! I really cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was at Joyner's Bar! If we put on another social gathering, we will definitely rent their space and order their catering again. The open bar was a nice touch everyone appreciated! MOST SINCERELY!

The "Korean Beef Bowl" came with about a cup of each beef, rice, cucumbers and maybe 1/4th of an avocado for $24. This looked and tasted like a $14 dollar plate at best (seriously, no kimchi even in a Korean bowl?); I left hungry. My wife got the Thai coconut curry, $30 bucks which included an $8 up charge for chicken, in which there were maybe 8 paper thin slices. The curry part was non existent both in volume and in taste. There was barely any sauce, very bland, and it essentially tasted like unseasoned noodles and vegetables. I would gladly come back for a happy hour and enjoy their other drink options and appetizers, but I just cannot justify paying the exorbitant prices for how mediocre the food ultimately was. I wish I had taken a picture of the food to add weight to the review but it was so lackluster looking that it just was not worth photographing in the moment.

My son and I were in Winston-Salem for the International Black Theatre Festival with Visit Winston,…read moreand when I learned we had free time for lunch, one recommendation immediately caught my attention. Between the rave reviews and the beautifully designed space, I knew this would be our stop. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was that the parking lot was on the smaller side, but any concern disappeared the moment we checked in. The hostess greeted us warmly, asked for my license plate so she could validate our parking, and had us seated almost immediately. It was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the experience. On the way to our table, I couldn't help but notice the inviting patio, perfect for lingering over lunch on a beautiful day. That said, I had reserved an indoor table, and I'm glad I did. The dining room is intimate, stylish, and effortlessly chic. It's the kind of restaurant that feels equally suited for a catch-up with friends as it does for a date night. The tables are close together, creating a lively atmosphere, so it's worth keeping that in mind if you prefer a little more privacy. Our server, Aundria, made an already wonderful experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out. It was also refreshing to see the entire team working together so seamlessly, with everyone stepping in to help one another throughout the meal. I ordered the lobster roll with shoestring fries, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The lobster was fresh, buttery, and generously portioned, making it one of those dishes I'd happily order again. Before we left, I asked Aundria what she reaches for when she dines there. Without hesitation, she recommended the Korean Beef Bowl, which has already earned a spot on my list for my next visit. As if the experience couldn't have ended on a sweeter note, it started raining just as we were leaving. The hostess grabbed an umbrella and walked me to my car, a simple gesture that perfectly reflected the hospitality we experienced from start to finish. Great food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what keeps me coming back. This restaurant delivered both, and it's officially earned a place on my list of Winston-Salem favorites.

I had looked at the instagram page before arriving and saw a drink that I wanted to try. I couldn't remember the name when I got there and asked for the drink menu. I was given a look that made me feel like I was wrong for asking for it. One of the patrons was nice enough to show me a basket with menus in it. I ordered the drink and went to find a seat with my friends. Even though it was fairly crowded, there was ample seating. One of my friends ordered the $5 old fashioned and ended up ordering several more. Definitely a great deal for the price and alcohol ratio. I chose the hoopla and then a sidecar. Both were well executed. I wanted to try some of the food, but unfortunately we had eaten before arriving. Several people we spoke to said the jerk wings were a must try so I'll definitely come back for those! Outside of the first interaction with the bartender, the other one was very pleasant and continued to serve us with no issues.
