It is amazing to watch how these people deconstruct a home and salvage its materials. Very efficient.

The staff here assisted my family and I with picking out options for a remodel project. They made sure to list out options for us well within our budget, and even offered their advice on alternative options to look at. Definitely will be returning here for future needs!

Horrible customer service…read more I came into this showroom on a Saturday after a window latch broke. I brought the window and the broken latch with me, expecting some basic assistance finding a replacement part. Instead, because I didn't have an original order number and hadn't purchased the window directly through them, they refused to help. Maybe the weekday staff is more knowledgeable, but the employees working that Saturday either didn't know the Milgard products or simply couldn't be bothered to help someone who wasn't making a large purchase. It felt like the moment they realized I was only looking for a replacement part, they lost all interest in assisting me. If you're expecting customer service, product knowledge, or any willingness to help solve a simple problem, look elsewhere. There are better options out there. Update: Reached out to Roadrunner Glass in Fremont and they were able to identify my window from pictures as the Tuscany model and the Smart Touch Latch I needed. They did not even me to come in with the window and only needed a picture. So if you want good customer service its better to just wait till during the week when staff with experience and know-how can help.

Presently one of my projects is the remodel of an Eichler home in the GreenMeadow neighborhood of Palo Alto. The scope of Palo Alto Glass' work include two new bathroom windows and a new living room sliding door. Jesus and Antoine were the two window techs handling the installation. Both Jesus and Antoine are true professionals of the highest caliber and have a great attitude about making their client ecstatically happy. Punctual and kept the jobsite safe and cleaned up. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! If you're looking for someone to replace the windows on your Eichler, or other home look no further. At kbcpa we've also used Palo Alto Glass for glass shower and tub enclosures!

I'm updating my review because the owner, Bill, personally called me after reading it. We had a…read morelong and honest conversation, and I genuinely appreciate how he handled the situation. He listened patiently, acknowledged that the warranty language was unclear, apologized for the office's communication and billing process, issued me a full refund, and told me they will improve both the warranty language and their internal process. I truly appreciate his willingness to listen, take responsibility, and make things right. For context, my original concerns were these: After spending $64,000 on a window and door replacement project, two sliding doors became increasingly difficult to close after the 2023 installation. By 2026, they could no longer be closed and locked properly. I contacted Palo Alto Glass because I believed they had not been properly adjusted during installation. I was initially told the adjustment would cost $585 and that I needed to provide a credit card before the appointment. After I explained that I believed this was an installation issue rather than normal wear and tear, Palo Alto Glass agreed to have the technicians inspect the doors first. The technicians came on July 8, and the repair itself took only a few minutes by adjusting the lock plates. However, before performing the work, no one told me that Palo Alto Glass had concluded the issue was my responsibility or that the $585 charge would apply. I only learned that after the work had been completed, when I received the invoice the following day. I was also disappointed by the warranty language. The contract states that "all necessary materials and labor are covered under this warranty," but I was later told that the 10-year warranty only applies to insulated glass and that labor is covered for just one year. I believe that distinction should be stated much more clearly in the contract. To be fair, I was generally satisfied with the workmanship. The original installation was well done, and the technicians who performed the adjustment were professional and courteous. My frustration was entirely with the office's handling of the warranty, communication, scheduling, and billing process--not with the people doing the actual work. It's also worth noting that a 10-year warranty is well above the industry standard if it is honored properly and the scope of the coverage is communicated clearly upfront. That level of coverage can be a real advantage, but customers should not have to infer important limitations from the title of the warranty section. I still believe these issues could have been handled much better, but I also believe companies should be judged by how they respond when something goes wrong. Bill never became defensive. Instead, he listened carefully, acknowledged where the process had failed, and explained how they plan to improve both the warranty language and their internal communication. That conversation changed my impression of the company. Thank you, Bill, for taking the time to call me, for treating my feedback with respect, and for making things right. I sincerely hope the improvements you described will benefit future customers, and I wish Palo Alto Glass continued success.
