So we started on our renovation project earlier this year around March, lucky for us, first month into this stringy lengthily remodeling project, we found ABS. And since then we go to ABS for all our home remodeling needs. They are expert at what they're doing, there was almost never a question that they don't have an answer for us. We literally brought almost everything from small to big at ABS, it's a one stop shop/show room. Prices are varies depends on products of course, ABS seem to carry all three low, mid and hi-end. When we were picking out tiles and fergo to replace our old smelly carpet, the boss lady Amee helped us coordinate the color and material quality. My husband and I were amazed with her knowledge and expertise, after 6 months living with it; I have to say we are still a happy camper! We also purchased our doors, molding, backsplash, and even our skylight at ABS. Doors are about 20 buck cheaper than Lowe and Home Depot, imagine 10s doors, that 200 we saved. And this I mentioned is not the only thing we saved. We also used ABS to buy material to remodel our kitchen and our master bathroom. Both projects turned out beautifully! Another thing, we also hired ABS install our custom glass shower door, and I'm so glad we did. They had help us minimized every possible stress there was. They came to our home, took measurement, and 2 weeks later they came back and finished the installation. If you ever need to order custom shower glass door, they're the one to go to for a peace of mind. And not to brag, but I think our master restroom was a masterpiece, everyone walked in with a WOW, all thanks to ABS! I'm usually not a fan of rating, or review, however, ABS was above and beyond, I want to thanks ABS and all their staff that helped us thru our renovation challenge. Our house is now our HOME! We've built 3 houses between 2009 and 2012, and we ordered all our windows from ABS. Their pricing is below Home Depot prices but the product is better or has the better brand recognition. E.g. ABS will sell a Milgard brand window for about the same price as Home Depot charges for a Jeldwen. Two of my 3 houses, I used Plygem, never had a problem with the orders. For small remodel projects, I have ordered windows a few times in other places, because these other places could deliver the windows in 3 days. However, I paid each time substantially more than at ABS. Pluses: - best window and door prices between Oakland and Monterey (that's how far I shop.. I am Santa Cruz based) - Amee will give advice with the window configuration, e.g. review the architect's drawing with me and suggest to make a change here or there, to either save money or have a more functional design. In these review sessions, we have more than once spotted a mistake that was not caught by the city's building department. Think of her as quality control. - very, very competitive prices on engineered wood floor materials as well. Windows are easier to compare than floor materials, IMHO. - quick responses to our requests via email - window delivery was always correct and complete, and within the promised time. My first remodel project was with Home Depot and the delivery was not at all what I had ordered... which I noticed after the wrong windows were installed.. so, don't take correct delivery for granted. No worries with ABS though! Minus: - with the service that they give, there are usually other customers. So, if you come with a plan for a new house and want to order 20 new windows, it's best to make an appointment. - they really need to have a store here in Santa Cruz read more

Amazing store! Lots of stuff! I have bought bathroom vanity, linen cabinets, mirror, hardwood floor, tiles, mosaics, kitchen cabinets, and done a little remodeling my backyard with materials from here. I'm not really into finish work so I can't speak about their "fancy" stuff, but they have lots of moulding, and plenty hardwoods. The place is voluminous and it is easy to get overwhelmed but they have been organizing and rearranging the last several months and it is easier now. The staff is helpful and knowledgable about where things are and what they have in stock. Just ask them and they will point you in the right direction. Most inventory is clearly priced now, but there may be a few items where you will need to ask. They can get a little busy at peak times, so either prepare to wander around and soak up the nostalgia, or come during a quieter time if you expect to need a lot of assistance. Check out their google ads, this should give you some idea of what they have currently and give you a sense of direction when you get there. Only gripe is that the inventory changes quickly. If you see something you like, pick it up. It might not be there later. Prices are reasonable, selection is always changing, staff is very friendly and helpful, and the yelp is a good place to start you trip. read more

I'm a general contractor and know of many places to shop for building materials in the area. While other stores may specialize in just wood flooring, tiles, or just cabinets, I find ABS to have the best balance and options for most of my clients. By far, they have one of the best showroom for bathroom ideas/inspiration in the area. Most of what my clients are looking for is either in stock or special orders are available in a few days. I receive a text message as soon as it is delivered and ready for pickup. The staff has been awesome. The young and enthusiastic gals at the front desk always greets me with a smile. Anisha at the front desk seems to be the most knowledgeable. Ask for her. And the guys in the warehouse are funny and accurate. That's right, accurate! I have never been given the wrong item ever. The pricing is competitive with other locations, but I mainly shop and send my clients here for the great selection and customer service. Christine try to find tiles for flooring and wall which can match each other and then she tries to find a vanity to match with my room's size and the colors to make my room looks modern And then see ask you very detailed about the whole things you need for bathroom which I have never thought i would need it but honestly it helped a lot. I came to this store by my friend's recommendation. He said I had to come here and take a look first, before buying anything, because I would find some good ideas for my new house. Aydin's is one of my favorite places to shop for my houses remodeling as an one stop shopping store. I have been working in real estate for many years with a lot of vendors and partners but I am very impressed how they do business in terms of customer services and variety products along with competitive price. Besides, staffs either in the office or warehouse are knowledgeable and professional. They will help and explain to you everything you would like to know, no matter how busy they are. If possible, I would give 6 stars for their best customer service. More than that, they always give you best price as much as they can for all customers, no matter you are home owners or contractors. For some reason I always assumed this place would be way out of our price range. I was so wrong. The prices per square foot were less than the other stone yards and big box stores. Delivery fees were reasonable and same week. Customer service was great, well one guy behind the counter seemed a little tired of us going back and forth on a product but understandably. The service at their second large yard was great. The older gentleman was helpful. If you are doing stone or tile work I would 100 percent recommend looking at their stone yard. Basically you'll be amazed at how many beautiful stones are available and end up with an end product you're really happy and proud of. These are the very best people to work with. We were helped by Anisha, who was so friendly and very knowledgable about the company's product. She was so patient and went above and beyond to make sure our questions were answered. We purchased a sliding glass door window for our front room, and because we were so pleased with the customer service and great prices, we went back to order window's for the rest of our home. This is a one stop shop!! Everytime I have some remodeling to do. I usually have to go Lowe's or Homedepot to get all my supplies. Being stuck in those isle and don't know what to get or what product is best to use. I get a little confused. But at ABS...not only are they very informative and their customer service is great! They give you a good homey feeling in the atmosphere. It's like I'm going to a family business or some you know and can trust to help you without trying to make a grip on you. They actually do care.
