    Recess Coffee

Located in the heart of the Tipperary Hill community is a bustling Cafe and coffee house named Recess Coffee. The third location that they opened is a great addition to the neighborhood where the street lights are turned upside down or maybe the way they should be in the first place. I had the Maple Latte made with a shot of real maple syrup. I love this as I prefer natural sweeteners like maple. It's a great place to sit and enjoy a conversation among friends or maybe some work at one of their tables. Even though I was there for the coffee their menu goes well beyond and looks like they have a great breakfast game as well. I look forward to my return trip.

Will always support Recess. Great spot for a pick me up coffee (and other yummy goodies). Great spot to chat with friends or sit in silence and do your work! Best chai I've had around Syracuse.

Stopped into Recess coffee for a nice relaxing coffee break. My winter spice latte, with maple was delicious, perfectly prepared. I couldn't resist the potato, chickpea soup with kale and carrots. I added a little s&p to suit my taste and it was extremely good. Service people at the counter were nice and patient while I decided.

I love Recess! They always make a great coffee. I love how you can order online because it makes ordering easy. They also have so many different options for drinks. This is a great spot to meet with a friend or bring your laptop and get some work done.

The perfect place to grab coffee in Tipperary Hill. The employees are very friendly. The wait can be a bit slow, as they're usually pretty busy. I love running in for a quick iced black coffee. They have gluten free bread which is always a bonus. They have spacious outdoor seating, that allows dogs.

I like this location best. Great space. Awesome community board listing upcoming activities. There is a little library too! Great patio space to enjoy your coffee in this quaint residential area.

Visited for the first time while driving through Syracuse, midday Saturday. Lattes were fabulous with the creamiest foam we can remember. The "Schwarzenegger" Panini menu (see photo) offered several tasty options; my Governator ham and cheese panini was nicely equipped and delicious. Staff was friendly and quick, ambiance was fresh and spacious, good music playlist. We're glad we stopped there. Highly recommended!

Just had my first experience here and I was satisfied with my visit for sure! I took my little sister with me since we were in the area at BeeKind right next door. For a coffee shop the size is reasonable and it has parking around the front that accommodates the size of the establishment. However the atmosphere inside the place is very laid back and seems like a typical spot where people utilize as a work space. On a shelf in the back there is even a small book selection to choose from if you wish. Plus, all around the shop are plants to really tie the place together. I ordered the Nutella hot cocoa after an employee let me taste a sample of the Nutella and giving me the recommendation from the slightly overwhelming menu.

Stopped by here with a fellow realtor colleague to catch up. Great place to meet with your clients for coffee as well! Today I had the terminator panini which was amazing as usual. Tried something new - orchard crisp and oh my goodness it is fall energy in a cup with espresso and cider. I never knew I could like the two together so if you're into either or...try it! I'm an avid matcha latte drinker and got a 16oz orchard crisp that powered me for the whole day and maybe half of the next which was perfect because it was a busy day of meetings especially showings for first time home buyers. Will come back again! Especially love this location as it's next to beekind and you end up killing 2 birds with one stone by stoping here and then next door to shop for yourself or local items as gifts!

This coffee shop gives all the vibes! Cozy and calm atmosphere, employees are smiling and happy. I suggest the cold brew, delicious & fresh! Loved it so much that I came back the next day for the same order & some breakfast! They have breakfast sandwiches and even oatmeal! Yum! The hash brown I ordered was cooked to perfection and only cost 75 cents to add to my breakfast sandwich!

Great little spot to grab a cup of coffee and a muffin on a Saturday morning. Did not get a chance to give the menu a thorough scan but loved the medium house blend and muffin. Great local shop with friendly staff and fair prices. My buddy is a frequent customer and this is his go to coffee spot which he encourages the nitro brew. Currently no indoor seating due to COVID restrictions but outdoor seats are available if the weather permits.

This website is difficult to navigate. Whether or not the store is open isn't clear, moving on to the next location.

Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The vibe was relaxed and low-key, making it a good place to sit down and get some work done. I spent some time working while I was there and appreciated having a space where I could focus without feeling rushed. The staff was pleasant, and one of the employees was kind enough to take a picture for me when I asked, which I appreciated. The only thing that stood out to me was that there wasn't much of a greeting or acknowledgment when I walked in, but it wasn't a huge issue. The seating was okay. The chair I chose wasn't the most comfortable for an extended stay, but it got the job done. There was also some rock music playing during my visit, which helped create a casual atmosphere. I didn't order any coffee or food this time around, so I can't speak to the menu yet. This visit was more about finding a place to work and unwind for a bit. Would I come back? Yes. While I'm still searching for my go-to coffee lounge in Syracuse, Recess is definitely a spot I'd visit again. It has a chill, unpretentious vibe that makes it easy to settle in and spend some time there. I forgot to take more pictures will do when I go back.

It is such a cool concept idea as 2 of the locations are small drive thru, like a backyard shed size. I was confused trying to find it at first because looking it up I didn't see what it would look like. The options for drinks are as endless as if you walked in to a coffee shop and they even have some breakfast food and bakery items on certain days. I pulled up 20 min to closing and was a little worried but I'm so grateful they weren't cleaning and closing everything up yet. The employee was the sweetest and made my drink super quick. Their seasonal options all sound so good and look amazing, I got the headless horseman and subbed the pumpkin whip cream for pumpkin cold foam. They are definitely Instagram worthy coffees!
