I got a banana bread latte and a yuzu silk matcha - both delicious! The banana bread latte was one of the best I've had. It had warm notes of brown sugar and cinnamon with a banana flavor that tasted like actual banana bread and not artificial banana candy. The yuzu silk matcha was also very nice - smooth with a citrusy finish from the yuzu. Neither the matcha flavor nor the yuzu flavor were overpowering - very balanced. I'm always a sucker for local coffee shops whenever we travel and salt city is the latest. They have great food and drink options and I always love the vibe of a coffee shop. The staff were very friendly and prices weren't bad. The specialty banana bread latte was awesome bread as a drink! I was worried it'd be too sweet but it was perfect. Salt City Coffee continues to be my favorite coffee spot in all of Syracuse! The Drink: Reese's Puffs Cereal Milk Latte: This drink is incredible. It has that perfect nostalgic cereal milk flavor combined with smooth espresso. It's creative, fun, and delicious. Keep an eye out as they rotate their flavors! Golden Grahams is another favorite of mine. The Food: Cinnamon Brown Sugar Pop-Tart: Put the boxed stuff away because this pastry is a total game-changer! It's thick, buttery, and flaky in all the right ways, with a cinnamon-sugar center that is the perfect sweet treat pairing. Easily the best coffee in NY, in a vibey cozy store Ordered avocado bagel and a hazelnut oatmilk latte. Coffee is delicious- it's not bitter, it's perfectly roasted, and the proportions in the latte make it the perfect cup. Avocado bagel was ok. Nothing to write home about. Not sure where they get their bagels but it tastes like the Thomas brand. A little weak. I'd probably go with a home made pastry instead if your diet allows it. We stopped here for breakfast before our college tour, and it was decent. The coffee was good, and the prices fairly reasonable. The atmosphere was definitely college as you would expect, but not crazy. The pastries were definitely middling , and the staff had them still in a box so we couldn't really see what was what. I would probably try another place first before going back. read more

We came on a Tuesday afternoon, they were quite busy. A great hub and area for students. It was free cold brew coffee day which was great! I'm not sure if it is every Tuesday or just that particular day. I came there to study with a group of friends, they have a very spacious back area for students to enjoy their drinks or take some time to study. I did not order a drink but my friends got the cold brews, and they let you choose the milk and the flavor without any extra charge which is nice (I'm just not a big coffee drinker). All the drinks look delicious, I would definitely be coming back to try their items. I notice they also have some food items, so if you're in a rush and want a quick bagel or pastry, this place is definitely a good choice. Overall, it's a very nice little shop, and a great place to just take a break. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

This shop is next to the University, where there were at least 2 other coffee places also. I circled once and then parked on a side street. Lots of student pedestrians but traffic is light. Very HILLY here. I ordered ahead but still had to wait for my drink a minute. Shop is very spacious. Only plain bagels. Not sure what the other shops are like! read more

Well, I'm posting right outside of salt city their sign says that they're open to 4 PM today and they're telling me they're closing right away. They offer pour overs. It doesn't say that they don't offer them in the last hour of service and they have drip that they told me it's been sitting in there a while out of there Machine. So I told them this will be the last time that I get coffee at salt city. Unbelievable! I came for a coffee and I'm going away with nothing. I hate writing these kind of reviews, but this is the kind of service these guys offer. I don't think the experience is acceptable. I'm not a happy man. I would say stay away from Salt Lake City because you may or may not get your coffee. read more

I came here for coffee last year and I came here again when I was in the area for the state fair. I remembered liking their coffee the first time I had come here, so I figured I'd enjoy their coffee again during my second visit here. They have a rotating menu of specialty drinks, and during my more recent visit, they had a cookie latte, which was so, so good. Definitely worth stopping by here for a pick me up, if you happen to be in this part of town. read more

This is the type of coffee that you drive past McDs, DD, Stbcks, and any other coffee place to get to. I have enjoyed delicious Cafe Au Laits here and I finally tried their cold brew. Stopped me dead in my tracks in how smooth and tasty it is. I added a shot of their homemade vanilla syrup to it- cannot be beat! I will make it a point to go out of my way for this coffee. Normally I have good experiences here, but today everything went sideways. My hazelnut shot went into the chai latte instead of the coffee. The carrot cake scone tasted like baking powder. The muffin was so bad I had to feed it to my pet. I don't know what changed but it was for the worst. read more
