I reached out to California Recycles to run a tech drive at my school, as an environmental drive for the Green Team. Customer service was so helpful, and the process was so streamlined and easy!!! The truck came by on the scheduled date and had everything ready for the tech drive, providing us with 4 pallets and 4 cardboard boxes. The school loved the initiatives, and we got more donations than expected! The pickup process was just as easy as the drop-off, as the truck arrived on time on the scheduled day and got all the donations. I enjoy bringing over anything I can to this place. I have brought a variety of scrap items to this location and they are always fair and reasonable. The staff is always helpful as well. Parking is tight, but you can usually find some street parking nearby. read more

I was able to drop off a old Dish TV receiver (which I was told to not return to the company because it was so old), remotes, and old VHS and cassette tapes. It's very difficult to recycle VHS tapes and cassette tapes - you can't just throw those into the Blue recycling bin. Most E-Waste places don't accept those items either. Easy peasy. read more

TERRIBLE company. First time I called them, they told me that it would be $25 dollars to come pick up my TV. I explained it was up a flight of stairs and they told me it would be $35. I then never heard back from them after submitting my pick-up request form, I called back two more times- both times they told me they must have lost my form in the process of moving and that I should resend it. I sent it two more times, and then I called back AGAIN and they said the same thing. After five more calls, they told me they couldn't pick it up for another month and it would now be $75. NOT WORTH IT. We found another company who would pick it up the same day for $40, and was much easier to work with. If I could give 0 stars, I would. read more

My electronic pick up which I requested from California Recycles was done in a professional manner. I submitted a complete detail of electronic items that needed to be picked up. As soon as I faxed the sheet, someone from their end immediately called back and put me on schedule. They DID NOT charge me for any pick up fee since I had more than 5 electronic items. On the day of pick up, their driver was very helpful and professional. I even got a turn in letter the next day after they collected the items from my end. If I were to rate California Recycles, I would give them an outstanding rating for an excellent customer service ! read more
