After having a few bad experiences at another recycling center, I found this place and I'm so glad I did. The customer service is great, the people are helpful and friendly. This place seems a lot cleaner than other centers which is always nice. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the parking situation, there's not a lot of it but you can always park in the adjacent lot and drag your recycling over I guess. read more

I have an industrial scale at home which weighed my cans and plastics at home, the cans were 93.8 lbs and I calculated it at $1.66 a lb which came out to 93,8 lbs = $155.70, they weigh then toss your cans so fast once it's weighed and don't let you by the scale to see what they are doing, well the cans came to $143 which is already $12 difference compared to mine and they are supposed to pay $1.70 per pound which would of been $159.40 which is now $16 difference, so they ripped me off for $16 without including the plastics, this is why it's best to go to a certified recycling center or you just let them scam you, imagine taking that extra money from everyone how much their skimming off of everyone. I don't know if the workers are scamming but I don't believe it's the workers tho, it's probably the company because the workers are nice guys and just seem trustworthy. read more

Went to do my monthly recycling last month thought I'd give Green Base a try. Everything was fine till I walked up and the guy running the scale ask me if I spoke Spanish I said yes . He started telling me not to recycle plastic egg cartons because they aren't worth much in a very rude way. I told him it's ok I'm still going to recycle them. He gave me a face like I was making him work more than he wanted to and proceeded to separate the egg cartons from my recycling. It ended up being a bit less than a full plastic recycling container. He stared at me when he weighed them and yelled ITS ONLY 13 CENTS!! I told him that's not the point and he gave me my total with a bad attitude. Never going there again they care more about the money than the cause. read more

I've been coming here for already 6 months bringing in bunch of cans they got the best prices in a 15-25 mile radius. The young man working there I've never had issue I don't know why the others haven't had a good experience but he is actually helpful every time I go. Best recycling place for cans and bottles in the area. I chose this place because it's an ECO-FRIENDLY recycling place. You would think that all recycling centers would be, but it's not true.I have been to many that just throw a lot of stuff in the trash, I had taken some plastic and bottles to one such place, and the guy didn't want some of the plastic containers, even though they were clearly marked with the recycling stamp...I told him please take them,I don't want any money I just don't want them going in the trash. But he threw them away anyway. A lot of the small recycling centers are just in it for the money and they only want to take cans and plastic/glass bottles. I really think that the state or city should require them to accept all things that are recyclable, not just the stuff worth the most money. Personally I take time out of my busy day to go to one of these places because of the environmental impact of our waste, not for the few dollars. Anyway, as for this place, I am not sure what all they do accept, but I will find out. Helpful staff and fairly clean....parking is a bit of an issue, but otherwise everything was good. Also they seem to pay more....I know that I have had a lot more bottles at other centers and been paid a lot less!!! So if money is your motivation, then this place pays more or maybe they are just honest. read more

Terrible Customer Service! I stood around for at least 5min without being acknowledged. I proceeded to stack my bags of cans on the scale to be prepared for when he was finally done doing whatever he was doing. He proceeded to take down the weight and remove the bags from the scale so I could be paid. As he set one of the bags down he heard a glass bottle. He the said "I cant trust you" and told me to empty them out into the bins to re-weight them. Turns out there was one glass bottle out of the 5 large trash bags I had. The lesson here is that if he had acknowledged me from the beginning and simply asked me to empty the bags into the bins I would t be writing this review. I won't be back! read more

Hard to find behind grocery store but good Service. There are no lines you get in and out. They take plastic and glass as well as cans

Condescending attendant. Young guy who doesn't understand what his job is or what customer service means. I don't feel like I'm getting the correct amount of money for my recyclables. The place is disgusting. Sticky & smelly with broken glass and trash everywhere. read more

This place used to be great, but there is a new employee that has a terrible attitude. The guy that used to be there was so helpful and had such a good disposition that I actually look forward to go to the recycle center. Also, when I was there yesterday the new kid ripped me off $5. This used to be the best place to go but with the new kid working there I would suggest staying away. Or just come back on a different day when he is not there. He is a young, talk slim good looking Armenian kid. So nice looking on the outside but ugly on the inside. I will be finding a new recycle center. read more

This place makes recycling easy, quick, and a hassle free process. The staff is very professional, organized, and super friendly. One of the staff members assisted me and I was very pleased with the overall experience and it took me a significantly less time recycling here than any other place I've been to so far. The customer service is beyond the worst, discriminatory, and likes to humiliate people. we were refused service for some odd reason although we were not rude or aggressive. The guy working there is very aggressive and rude as well as discriminatory as he let other people of different races do the same transactions that were going to do without a problem, but when we tried to do the same thing, recycle more bottles, he denied us service saying that it was against the rules as that he didn't want to do it. During this time he did not let us either work out why he denied us the same services he gladly gave to other people threatening to call the police in a way as if we were criminals because of our race. We (my family and I) were never rude to him or self-assertive at all but instead kind and never judged him over his race, body, not even his job, unlike him. There was also this guy who went to recycle that started hurling profanities at us wanting to fight as if we were the ones being rude, to say the least, meanwhile the employee walked back laughing in humiliation and later talked to the person flipping us off saying how we wanted "free money" and humiliated us. We were there to recycle and had our bottles ready! We didn't go to look for problems, we went there to recycle our bottles.When police arrived the employe did not tell the whole story and refused to talk to the authorities after saying what made him look good but never mentioned how he let other people do the same thing we were going to do. Never go there unless you want to be discriminated and humiliated because of your race while other customers do the same exact thing you were going to do without a problem. read more
