Estimates ranged from $660 to $1200. Austin was able to answer all my questions via email, and when my engine warning light suddenly popped on Austin volunteered to confirm the analysis done at the dealer and AutoZone. The customer waiting area is clean, as is their rest room. If you're a veteran, you'll be impressed with several of the display cases which bear Austin's grandfather's service medals. The shop also accurately predicted how long the job would take so I could plan my day. Although some shop refuse or are 'insulted' when asked to install parts or components they didn't supply, this shop understands we're all eager to save a buck. Although Mike's can't offer a warranty on owner supplied parts, they are customer focused. Mike's shop is clean, well organized and a austin at Mike's my new mechanic!

Did not have parts on hand (filter) and did not tell me until an hour and a half into the service. I had called to make an appointment the previous day and confirm the current deal of 39.99 applied to my vehicle. They stated it did, it would be 39.99 plus tax. When I arrived the next day they added $6.99 for shop supplies, which when I noticed and asked about it they said it would be for paper towels and like items. They tried selling me an oil flush and conditioner which for my hybrid make, model, mileage, with routine oil changes every 4K miles is NOT needed nor recommended - they said "it's like a multivitamin for your car". Service was supposed to be an hour long, first appointment of the day at 7:30 am, I stated I would wait while the oil is being changed, an hour and a half into the appointment they stated they did not have the filter on hand (had already drained and replace the oil). I was not told this until i said I needed to leave and wanted to take my car. They applied a first time customer coupon and apologized for the delay but damage for the lack of transparency and lack of honesty was already done. The entire interaction left me feeling uneasy, I do not trust them. Oil change included a 360 inspection which they did not mention the results off, but when i got home the printed receipt showed they recommended a $3,733.50 strut/shock replacement. Now I do not know if this is something really needed, urgent, or just another unnecessary upsell. Positives: Facility was very nice and clean.

We were on our way to the local Ford dealer when I thought to check reviews on Yelp. 2.5 for Ford. Nope. Searched Yelp for a proper mechanic and found Marickio's with its very solid 5 status. In less than 10 minutes, Mario had the hood up and was at work troubleshooting the issue. Mario spent about two hours trying to figure out the cause of the problem. Of course, while we were there, the problem didn't present itself. Mario refused to charge us as he was unable to diagnose the issue. We tipped him anyway. Mario is the type of person who restores our faith in humanity.

I also really appreciated the tasty cookie they gave me when I picked up my car. From a purely customer-service standpoint, they do a great job. However, I have to give 2 stars because of their pricing and lack of transparency. I brought my vehicle in and received an estimate for a throttle body replacement. They quoted me $1,044.45 just for the part (labor was an additional $408.66). What really bothered me, in addition to the extreme markup, was the lack of information. The quote didn't specify the brand of the part being used, nor did it state whether it was brand new or a reconditioned unit. As you can see in the photos I've attached, I looked up the parts myself. I can easily purchase a brand new, OEM-quality throttle body for around $150. I understand that mechanics need to mark up parts to make a profit and cover their warranties, but a markup of this magnitude is excessive, especially without being completely transparent about what exactly the customer is paying for. Great customer service and a clean waiting room are wonderful, but they don't justify this level of markup on parts. I highly recommend doing your own research on part prices and getting a second opinion before approving any major repairs here.
