For example, Dawn has been a real pleasure to work with in the flooring area. She knows a lot about her business and products. She is very anxious to help. I also have found that Coakley carries very good quality items. Both the tile and the hardwood flooring was excellent to work with and to look at. The things you don't see, Hardy board and thinset and shower pans are also excellent quality and brands. Other products have been great as well and other people well educated and trained. This is a small company that deserves the community's support.

Fabrics range from aboriginal designs to Civil War calicos with bright batiks and lovely holiday prints as well. With the discernment of the staff, I was able to make good choices of fabrics to finish my current project. We are fans of Adirondack furniture and household items so it's a pleasure stopping in. There are beautiful signs and various different pieces. It's easy to spend a large chunk of time here. The items are a little pricy but the quality warrants the cost, in my opinion. There is really so much to look through and there's even a pleasant little indoor waterfall toward the back of the store. If you're taking a walk up Main Street, I'd suggest stopping in. I purchased a 362 Stihl chainsaw at Parkside about 4 years ago. It was a great saw until recently…read more The choke had to be replaced by Parkside this summer. After I got it back I used it for an hour before a metal sound came from the saw and it quit. I brought it back to Parkside again. They called me and said just about everything is bad on the saw and it would cost $300-$400 to fix it. I was reluctant but said yes go ahead and fix it. Yesterday I went to get my chainsaw back. I was charged $625.00. When I asked why this bill was $225 over the max of the verbal estimate, I got an answer that one part was pricey. I believe I should've been informed before the work was done that their verbal estimate was significantly off. I am writing this with hope that if you need to get something done with a piece of equipment at Parkside Supply that you get an estimate on paper, not just a verbal. Thanks, Mary
