Discovered by my parents a very good seafood boil place to try. Full bar with ample seating inside. We decided to get takeout. Did one of their specials. Good portion of food. Similar to other places. Full flavors. They have a big menu of different things. Will be back. Quick service too for carryout.

I've been here a dozen times, while they always seem suspiciously out of lava cake the food, service and cleanliness is fantastic. The bathrooms are super clean, the interior is more spacious than the outside makes you think. Perfect for large groups or parties. The crab is always fantastic and the service is quick. Highly recommend

Great spot to fulfill your seafood boil craving. Food was good, seems pretty fresh and surprisingly NOT overcooked (that seems to be the biggest problem with seafood boils too) if you enjoy a nice big head on shrimp this place is for you. We also tried the fried catfish and it was ok but pretty mushy. I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was good but the crab was steamed a little too long, and the flavor was just right. I needed some sauce to dip it, but none. The prices were fair , and service was good. Our waitress was on point. The lighting and atmosphere was great too. I will go back.

I honestly keep patronizing this business because I enjoy the flavor of the crab sauce. But here we are a YEAR later and the employees attitudes are still extremely negative and their website along with the closing time listed on Google STILL don't match what their rude a-- employees state their closing time is. I understand how companies can forget to update their information on Google HOWEVER this companies information on both their website Google are WRONG! Please note that a simple "I'm sorry for the misleading information" could ease the frustration of your customer who did their due diligence to check what time you all closed prior to coming to your establishment!

I came in with some high expectations. Originally I came to get a some raw oysters but after walking in the bathrooms I decided against it. I can't be sure but I think i saw a roach wing on the floor. Enough to say bathrooms were not clean. The place had a horrible smell. Like some kind of ammonia fragrant cleaner and old restaurant smell. I should have left but I was excited to have some fried oysters and mussels. I went to DFW and preferred the shoe and body odor over this smell. I had to take a shower and wash all my clothes when I got home. It was a really pervasive smell. The mussels and oysters were good which is why I gave an extra star. I enjoyed both thoroughly. They provided a lot of mussels in the boil. Server recommended the medium spice and it was the right kind of spicy. I like it a little spicy but it's a delicate balance. They nailed it. I'd give four stars for food but the smell and bathrooms have really left a bad impression. Service was fair but slow for lunch crowd. We asked for more time on the menus and they were very nice about it and came right over when we were ready. Food came out faster than I expected. Just that I never got a refill on Diet Coke, even though we were there for a while. Check took awhile as well. Overall not worth eating here the first time and nothing special enough to want to ever come back.

Currently my favorite place on earth! We have been here 3-5 times in the past few months and I'm already craving it again. Best seafood boil. I usually get snow crab legs, with sausage, shrimp, and the corn and potatoes. In the garlic butter sauce. It is mouthwatering. It is SO good. Husband gets a spicy sauce and scallops. Another amazing thing here- the drinks! Don't skip the drinks! I get a drink called Lychee Empress and it's amazing. Superb lychee flavor! You can get any drink in a HUGE show stopping tower for the table. It is such a fun place. We haven't got a tower yet but it's on our list. This is the place for good seafood. It's cooked amazing, it's hot, the service is good. It's pricy but worth it. Note- I have a feeling they are not used to people using crackers for crab legs here because I was slightly teased and get funny looks when I request them lol! I like to get every last piece out. Not sure what that's all about. Bathrooms are clean. Tables are covered with paper you can draw on or remove after eating. Bibs and gloves offered every time. Well. Going to eat this for lunch today now because writing this has brought back too many cravings and good memories haha!

Why only 4 stars and not 5 you ask? Because most of the entrees that include snow crabs only have one or two crab clusters and they are not big at all. If you order the seafood combination or family tray don't get too excited thinking you're going to get a lot of snow crab bc you won't . Now grant it you will get plenty of everything else such as shrimp and potatoes. I had Red Crab bookmarked for a few months and one day my family and I decided to give it a try after seeing updated posts on IG. The restaurant is located in the strip mall so if you're not looking you may miss it from the highway. The interior is your average seafood spot but I did notice they have a separate dining area that is large enough to host bigger parties. There were a few people there celebrating their birthdays. The bar area was a decent size and the ladies bathroom was pretty clean. Ok so let's get into why you're really here lol. Food, drinks and service. Our waitress (Diamond) was really great! She was attentive, friendly and very helpful. She didn't hesitate to answer any questions or concerns we had. My daughter ordered the mild flavored juicy special (Cajun, Lemon Pepper and Garlic Butter) small crab clusters (2) which comes with corn and potatoes. As stated the snow crabs were really small so she was kinda disappointed because it wasn't filling. My husband ordered the fried shrimp and catfish basket which included French fries. He said it was good and they gave him plenty of French fries. My youngest had the kids shrimp basket with fries and he didn't complain. He even said "wow I have a lot of French fries". I couldn't decide what I wanted so I opted for the family tray #A (Hot, juicy special flavored) which was more than enough to share across the table and still have plenty to take home (minus the snow crab). They offer two different family trays, A & B, but both come with corn, potatoes and eggs. You also get to choose four additional items on top of your shrimp and snow crab (#B comes with 2 lobster tails). My platter consisted of the above and my pick four items were turkey sausage, black mussels and double crawfish. Omg the food was delicious & well flavored. I could've went up to the extra hot spicy level but I knew I would be sharing. I was very disappointed that I only received one snow crab cluster for the price of the family tray but I digress. For drinks we ordered the gone fishing and sea monster fish bowl. I was thinking it would have been a bit bigger in size for the price but the taste of the drink was ok. Overall the food was good, service was great and the atmosphere pleasant.

Definitely high stars for customer service. They could work anywhere I think and be noteworthy. The drinks were solidly on the "ho-hum" scale. Nothing out of the ordinary. In all fairness, I only tried one and maybe if I had a second, I would be more impressed. For the drink (espresso martini), the espresso beans floating in the glass were an unexpected fun addition, but they didn't have much flavor. Maybe after the alcohol, I should have expected that. If I sound "meh" -- yeah -- it was that. The food started out almost the same way, but as I worked my way through it, it got a bit better. The tempura squash is almost like light fried ravioli. While okay, I would have preferred more flavor from the squash rather than from the marinara sauce. It still didn't overwhelm me with flavor, but it was decent enough. Overall, I couldn't decide between 2 or 3 stars, but the employees alone were enough to put it at 3 for me.

The BV server said that if we didn't want to wait, Annexe was their sister bar downstairs with the same kitchen. While BV's vibes are ~adult, sultry, modern~ Annexe is more ~young, party, fun~ Honestly, we were just hungry and didn't care too much. On Mondays, they have a $12 burger deal that comes with fries and a beer, which is a steal. As a not beer girlie, I appreciated that they allowed me to substitute a house soda. My friend is gluten-free and they allowed substitutions for her meal as well. The burger was good- not the best burger I've had in my life but tasty. Same with the fries. I got the Pistachio Orange house soda, which was interesting and refreshing, albeit a tiny bit heavy on the spices. My biggest qualm was with the wait- it took at least 25 minutes for our drinks (it wasn't super busy like BV) and 1 hour for our food (understandable I suppose with the shared kitchen). Now I was busy yapping with my friend so that wasn't too big of a deal for us, but I feel like it was notable. Service was also maybe a bit too attentive, with multiple attempts to grab our plates before we were fully finished- again not a huge problem for us in the grand scheme of things. Overall, a good option if all you care about is food and BV is too busy, but the vibes are completely different. 7/10 would recommend!

They'll deny it. I know better. And I'm not actually upset about it, because if they'd remembered, we'd have missed this. We started the night with the Baker's Flight (pumpernickel, cheddar rosemary biscuits, cornbread, house butters). The pastries were excellent. The butter was something else entirely. I asked for 8oz to take home, which is not a thing I do. I don't need more butter in my life. Seriously. But this butter was coming home wiht me regardless. Our entries: Shrimp and Grits (built on stone-milled grits with jumbo shrimp, spinach, seared peppers, smoked gouda and parmesan, under a Cajun cream sauce). Number two, the Sun-Fire Jerk Chicken (bone-in, braised and marinated, with fried plantains, island jerk sauce, jasmine rice, and a salsa). Lastly: The Whole Roasted Fish (Snapper this particular night, with spinach, tomatoes, citrus caper, and roasted potatoes). Each dish was spectacular. As if not enough, we still ordered dessert. Mama Made, we were told. Cheesecake and a Chocolate Brownie with ice cream. I'm not going to lie here and say either were shared. Somewhere about this time I was doing math in my head of how we could come to Nerra on a weekly basis. Seriously, I was. The Chef came by the table. The Chef's Mama came by too. Our server, Andrea, did the kind of work that doesn't get talked about enough. Andrea was attentive without hovering, present without performing. Andrea should take some time to right the manual on how to take care of a table and party, cause she's a master at it. If none of this moves you, I don't think I can do more for you here. If it does, you already know you're booking a reservation in the next 30 minutes. We are absolutely going back. The only question is how often I can make that happen without rearranging our entire budget. I'm working on it.
