    Cobb salad... HIGHLY recommended!
    Sarah G.

We considered going out for lunch while we were in Durham but with two young non-napped kids, the thought of traveling to a restaurant, ordering, waiting, eating and then getting out without a meltdown from the kids which would then result in our own meltdown seemed virtually impossible so we ordered room service instead! It only took about 30-40 minutes and our food was delivered to our room! Prices seemed very reasonable. I got the Cobb salad $9 (HIGHLY recommend!!!!) my husband got the burger and fries $10 (which he enjoyed) and our daughter had a grilled cheese with broccoli $6. The only negative is that apparently their steamer was down and they said they may not be able to do steamed broccoli. Well, it came... Was pretty much raw broccoli though. Ah well. A 20% gratuity is already added to your order along with a $1.50 surcharge. I recall seeing that they were open til 10... At least for room service. Definitely recommend!

Went here for lunch yesterday with some coworkers. First of all, it took a while for us to be seated. I'd say 7 minutes probably passed before someone came and directed us to our seats. Once we got our order, it took about another 40 minutes for the food to actually come out. Which was kind of ridiculous for what we ordered. We got two Turkey Burgers and two Crab Cake Sandwiches. Can't complain about the Turkey Burger because it was actually quite delicious. The turkey was juicy and the mozzarella with the balsamic glaze complemented each other well. Not a big fan of the pesto mayonnaise. Felt that it was just too salty. Fries were generally good, however some were too salty for my taste.

Salmon with rice pilaf and mix vegetables. This dish was season perfectly and sooooo delicious.

Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. The drinks were awesome as well. I celebrated my husband birthday here and he was so surprised by the quality of the food and drinks. We have lived by this restaurant for six months and this is the first time actually eating here.

Pleasantly surprised! I was super nervous coming to the hotel diggs about 50 minutes before closing. Not many people in which isn't odd in a hotel. The server was friendly, name started with a T (can't remember more than that, it wasn't an easy one!) and she pushed the nachos. They definitely weren't the best I had but for late night food I would get them again. Reasonably priced house wine (4 bucks) so overall not expensive.they accommodated my friends food to make it vegan friendly and didn't mess anything up. She said the hummus wasn't great but again, I would do it if you are just hungry and in staying here. Decent food and friendly staff.

They make you order and pay up front before you can sit down, which was not an issue for us. The 1st issue was none of the tables were cleaned. If we were the FIRST and ONLY guest in the restaurants, shouldn't the tables have been clean? The lady told us to pick a table and she would clean it. The wait wasn't long for the food, but my 2nd issue was the food was laid on the counter at the front and the women yelled to the back "Ma'am your food is ready, come and get it". I was slightly annoyed that we were eating inside the restaurant yet you yell for us to get food to bring back to our table instead of just bringing the food over. Same with the drinks, "come and get it" and laid it on the counter. Lady we are the ONLY people in this restaurant! No utensils were given, we had to fetch them ourself. No crab crackers were given we had to catch someone passing by to ask for them. I ordered the seafood boil for $42.99 (tax included) which includes 2 crab clusters (smalls ones), 6 shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. The presentation was nice, but the food wasn't seasoned well. I was not impressed at all by my food. The potatoes tasted undercooked, my corn tasted overcooked , the sausage was ok. The food wasn't TERRIBLE, but it wasn't GREAT either if that makes any sense. My mother ordered the fish and she didn't hate it, but said it wasn't seasoned well at all. Since the food wasn't absolutely terrible I'm willing to give them a 2nd chance, but since we were the first people there on a Monday, I really don't have high hopes they can sell me the 2nd time around.

On August 23, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., my colleague and I visited one of my favorite…read morerestaurants, Bonefish Grill (#9411). I have always enjoyed dining at this location. The food is consistently high quality, made to order, generously portioned, and offered at an excellent price point. Equally impressive is the service--the staff consistently makes guests feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. On this particular visit, however, I experienced an issue with my meal. I ordered the Butterfish, one of my favorite dishes, but unfortunately, it arrived cold. I brought the matter to the attention of our server, Mo, who immediately took action to resolve the situation. What happened next is the real reason I am writing this review. The Culinary Manager, Mr. Thomas Johnson, personally delivered the corrected meal to our table and offered a genuine and sincere apology. He explained that he takes full responsibility for the quality of the food served in his restaurant and acknowledged that my meal should never have been served that way. He also assured us that it would not happen again. What impressed me most was Mr. Johnson's willingness to take complete ownership of the situation. He could have simply allowed our server to return the corrected dish with an apology and considered the matter resolved. Instead, he personally came to our table, addressed the issue, apologized, and ensured that we were completely satisfied. He also graciously removed the dish from our bill and provided us with a coupon for a complimentary appetizer on our next visit. WOW! The purpose of this review is not to highlight a mistake--mistakes happen in every restaurant and every business. What distinguishes an exceptional organization is how its leaders respond when something goes wrong. Mr. Johnson's response was an outstanding example of leadership, accountability, service recovery, and genuine customer care. Mr. Johnson did not make excuses, shift responsibility, or leave the situation for someone else to handle. He owned it, corrected it, and went above and beyond to restore our confidence and ensure our satisfaction. That is leadership. Mr. Johnson exemplifies the level of customer service, professionalism, accountability, and compassion that is too often missing in today's service industry. I was already a loyal Bonefish Grill customer; after this experience, I am a lifelong customer! I sincerely hope the executive leadership team at Bonefish Grill sees this review and recognizes Mr. Thomas Johnson for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the customer experience. Employees and leaders like him are tremendous assets to an organization and its brand. Kudos to you, Mr. Johnson! Keep up the exceptional work--you are truly making a difference.

It was also one of the Dad approved places when he visited. I am sad it is gone. I stopped in for happy hour and sat at the bar. They took their wine options off the HH menu, so I branched out and tried one of their specialty cocktails, a coconut crush. It was very pretty, but I didn't get a lot of coconut off of it. It mostly tasted like pineapple to me, and was very sweet. I also ordered the Ahi tuna wontons. THIS was why I was here and I was excited. A few minutes later, I was told they were out. At that point, I just decided to go back to my original dinner plans and called it a day, here. The service was just ok. The drink was ok. Being out of my favorite appetizer was a bummer. I may give it another try the next time I am in this area.

The meal started with complimentary hushpuppies, which were a nice touch. I ordered the pan-seared crab cakes, and they were good--you could actually see plenty of crab throughout them. The mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables, though, were pretty bland and forgettable. Overall, I can see why Squid's is a Chapel Hill staple, and I think it's worth trying at least once!

Our server on this visit was Angelina, and she was personable, polite, and professional. She brought us or drinks and a basket of hushpuppies to start. We devoured it all! For our dinner selection, we split a three-seafood combo meal of fried cod, scallops, and shrimp. It came with French fries and cole slaw. The portions were generous, and delicious. We'll be back!
