On the "road," you only get breaks if there's time, despite standing for 12 hours straight. They will make you re-sign a part time contract despite promising you full time and benefits. A coworker of mine worked 50+ hour weeks without a raise or a full time contract. Workload is massive and unfair for $16/hr. They mostly hire young people that they can manipulate easily, especially for the shows. When 8 people phone in sick after teardown, there is obviously a core problem in the company but you just laughed. The owners create an extremely suppressive environment. They gaslight, victim blame, lie, gossip, lovebomb, micromanage, avoid reflection, and never take accountability. There is no diversity, safety or trust, but there is a constant fear of retribution. It makes you wonder why there's no HR department. They use fear as motivation as the rules only exist to keep us in line. They are microaggressive and expect workaholic behaviour but provide no opportunities of forward movement. There is immense leadership gossip and favouritism. Regular employees are not allowed boundaries. The owners are malicious and secretive. They insist on silence as employees are on a need to know basis. We are not to discuss wages, hour cuts, contracts, and/or red flags or we will be punished. They gossip about former employees and even harassed one and used it to blackmail them. They lie about pricing and overcharge people and expect us not to tell them, and they create fake sales for profit. They lie about unethical sourcing to customers and employees. They undermine serious health hazards on a daily basis. One coworkers hours were cut to one day a week after she claimed WCB when a product fell on her head causing a concussion, and another coworker got blood poisoning from their failure to explain the risks of lead-based minerals. The owners spend the majority of their time managing their ego over their vision, and personal interest always comes before collective good. They told us the store was losing money so they had to pay us out of their savings, but can afford to buy a house and a boat on Vancouver Island and a helicopter. They intentionally use unclear communication to cover their own disorganization and to place the blame elsewhere. These people need their business license revoked for abusing their entire workforce. Even the customers are beginning to notice their arrogance and disrespect whenever they meet them. I am truly disgusted with this company's practices and will rejoice when they are finally closed indefinitely.

As they lived out of town they were not able to be at the store within 14 days to exchange it for another color. It was 3 months and the product was still new inventory. It had not been discontinued and was currently stocked. It was reutned in original bag and with receipt. They would not give a store credit, or even exchange for a different color. The client did have additional products at the register that they were going to purchase but decided against this due to the behavior of the staff and the return policy. When time for delivery, 3 pieced didn't even make it off the truck. They were broken and or faulty. I was then left with half a couch set in my home. An hr after they left I noticed my one recliner made a clunking sound and the other 2 pieces, the stitching was already coming loose and the staples underneath were not holding. I called customer care only to be told too bad, it's already in your possession, we will send a tech. That was not acceptable to me as obviously the entire set was faulty to begin with. I called the store directly to be told by Brandon that he would order me a new recliner as it was making that clunking noise and because it hadn't even been removed from their manifest yet so he knew it was a fresh delivery. I also then asked to speak to the manager as this whole experience was awful. The manager just said over and over, that they would call a tech. When I explained that I was not ok with my $8400 furniture needing a tech not even 24 hrs after delivery and that Brandon told me a new one would be sent out, he proceeds to put Brandon on the phone only for him to deny up and down that he said that. I asked flat out so you are calling me a liar then? He said well I never said that so guess so. I asked to speak to Peter again (manager) to be told he didn't want to speak to me. I said well that's too bad put him back on the phone. Only to be given even more attitude and disrespect from him. He kept telling me nope, a tech, or I can pay a restocking fee. I was very clear on how this is not what I bought. Never once was I told that my brand new high end quality furniture wouod need a tech within the first 24 hrs! He finally said fine I'll request a whole new 6 piece. I said ok cool, how long will that take? He gets even more disrespectful and adds a very rude tone "I don't know!" Well isn't that your job to know? I said you do not understand the frustration here and he yells "omg!" And hangs up. Then proceeds to leave the building as he didn't want to speak to me again. I also continued to call customer care where I was told over and over that I have to pay a 25% restocking fee to get a refund. Agent told me my fee would be $408. I finally just agreed as I needed the rest of my money back. I said note that on my file and I will call you back. I call back and get another agent who told me that agent didn't do the math correctly and I have to pay $840 plus 10% on the 3 pieces that didn't enter my home. I said absolute not! They refused to honor what the first agent told me. I then called back to confirm it was being processed to be then told that I also know had to pay a $100 delivery fee!! Again said no! The guy kept cutting me off and being very rude! I am hoping someone higher up will see this and resolve this situation fully with me not having to pay anything! If anything, the original amount I was originally told! It seems like every agent is reading off a script as they have been trained to not help the customers like they are employed to do! Never ever will I shop there again and I will scream my story from the roof tops fo everyone
