My friend told me about Pet Parlor and I was amazed to find their per day prices were almost half of my vet. My vet is only opened Monday thru Friday And Pet Parlor is also open till noon on Saturday. These were the reasons I started using them as my Jacks boarding spot. We haven't left him there since Thanksgiving and yesterday the owner called. "We were all talking about Jack and since he's not been in for awhile, we were concerned." It put joy in my heart that they were checking in on my 4 legged 'son'! These folks have a love for their 4 legged 'customers' and their owners! It's a great business with caring and a loving staff.! Jack's tail is wagging non-stop when I pull up to Pet Parlor as he's happy every time he's there for either Doggy Daycare or overnight stays! You and your pet won't be disappointed!

You can grab OTC pet meds (like flea prevention) as well as Hill's Science Diet pet food from their lobby if you need it quickly, though the food at least is more expensive than it is at, say, PetSmart. In the last month or so, we encountered a stray cat hanging around the back of our house. Sweet little thing, I swear - but she nipped my ankle when she got too excited as we fed her and it broke the skin. Since she had no apparent owner that we could find (no collar, chip, or missing cat posters/social media posts to be found) and no papers to prove rabies vaccination, she had to be put in a 10 day quarantine. Linderman kindly agreed to board and observe her for us on very short notice. It was an increased fee, but the peace of mind in knowing she wouldn't be afraid or uncomfortable at Animal Control was worth it to us. We also knew we could reliably call Linderman and get an immediate answer / update on her condition when we wanted, even during the holiday season, which eased my terrible anxiety considerably. When they released her to us 10 days later (no rabies! Yay!), they helped us get her up to date on shots and provided helpful tips on how to peacefully introduce her to our resident cats while we work on finding her a new home. They also quickly agreed to and are getting us in for a spay surgery - invaluable, since she went into her first heat about three days after we brought her home and the resulting yowling makes working from home difficult! We have seen Dr. Clare Shannon for pretty much all our needs since first choosing Linderman for our pets. She's smart, personable, and approachable, and takes plenty of time providing insight and kind suggestions when it comes to cat care. She really does seem to love and understand cats, which is nice -- sometimes you get a vet who very obviously prefers dogs, lol. My parents also see Dr. Shannon for their cat, CC (Covid Cat - he found them mid-pandemic) and love her. They've boarded CC while going on vacation at Linderman a couple of times and he came back to them in great condition, though with a bloated ego from how popular he was among the staff! The techs are compassionate and friendly and always have nice words for your pet. And the front office staff has been so patient with all of my cat-bite emergency, rabies paranoia, and cat-in-heat emergency calls. I have been a frenzied, panicked mess, and they've been sympathetic and patient despite how annoying I'm sure I've been. We will continue to use Linderman for any and all of our veterinary needs. We love Dr. Shannon and all the staff!

We take our dogs here for their regular check up and vaccines, I love that they have an app where you can see upcoming health needs, current health of your pet, upload cute pictures of your pet, etc. We have boarded one of our dogs with FR several times, but now having two we just get house sitters. We were satisfied with our dogs 5 night stay, he got fed, played with the big dogs, and was super worn out when he got home. Every time they go in for a vet visit the staff handles our dogs with care and gives them all the treats to calm their nerves. They've always given us medical advice, etc. We had an instance where our dogs kept vomiting and took him to FR after visiting the ER. They stated he was having bad seasonal allergies gave us two medications and within days he was back to his normal self. Would recommend their boarding, veterinarians to anyone! October 2024 My sweet dog Chloe Rai died a excruciating painful death that I don't wish for anyone's animal... I trusted Flint River Animal Hospital to provide care for my beloved dog, Chloe Rai, during a critical medical crisis. A surgery was done to repair her intestines from an intussusception on a Monday. By Tuesday night, I noticed something was wrong postoperatively & Despite my proactive involvement, multiple visits each day that week and my repeated efforts to communicate concerns about her worsening condition... the clinic failed to act with urgency and did not take the complaints seriously. I was told I was overly concerned and that my knowledge as a nurse did not translate into the vet world. Lack of attention to her symptoms, critical delays in care, and inadequate communication about her condition defined our experience. Their inaction led to Chloe's condition worsening, ultimately requiring emergency surgery at another facility in Tennessee.. where i wasn't instructed to take her until hours before her death. There, on Friday of that week it was discovered that her critical condition was caused by ruptured intestinal sutures from the surgery performed earlier that week from Flint River... leading to sepsis and her death. I was mislead throughout my entire encounter with Flint River & I was not prepared for what took place that evening. I sat in their office holding Chloe as she was actively bleeding out as they continued with routine examinations on everyone else's animal for nearly 2 hours, them being FULLY aware of my critical complaint, That her stomach was bloated & she was in pain... The result of this occurrence landed me in an emergency vet in Tennessee and $10,000 in debt... this heartbreaking outcome was not expected & was preventable with earlier intervention and honesty. As a pet parent, I felt dismissed and ignored by multiple staff members. The lack of empathy, accountability, and urgency deeply compounded the pain of losing my irreplaceable baby, Chloe. This experience was not only emotionally devastating and traumatic but financially burdensome. The situation has been escalated to the Alabama Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and the clinic has been privately held accountable.. Based on what we endured, I cannot recommend this clinic. This is Chloe on her final day. Blessings.

I have a fussy, reactive dog that truly doesn't like vets that she doesn't know. She's still peeing allllll over the place when she goes here, but she seems to like it--and I can see why. Pros: the staff is delightful, the vet seems to care about animals (yes, I've seen vets who don't), they can usually work you in. Cons: I wasn't a fan of them calling in meds--and trying to charge me for them--that I didn't ask for and that my dog didn't need. I am EXTREMELY conscious of my baby, and I never hesitate to pay whatever necessary for what she needs, but why did I nearly get charged for diarrhea medicine when she's never had that complaint with them? Also, parking is a bit of a chore. Overall, I think this is a reasonably priced vet with caring staff. I'd recommend--but watch what they charge you in case you also get hit by the "we see there is a fee for a medicine you didn't ask for" thing.
