"Great group activity!" Today we visited the red door escape room! A party of four was perfect. We decided for our first escape room we would choose the adventure, 'taken'. It was a level 9/10 difficulty listed online. For starters, upon arrival, my party was a little bit late, with a 10 minute grace period, staff were more than kind with understanding our tardiness. We still got to play. Easy and clear instructions were given with the Do's and Don'ts. Our escape room, without any spoilers, was fun for all of us. We really had to use our brains and come together to figure the puzzles out. We had an hour to complete and did it in classic mode. 3 hints only allowed given. We all agreed that was the perfect amount of hints for this room. Overall great time! The rooms were clean, all props were clean. No weird smells, it wasn't uncomfortable to be a part of at all. The price I would say is definitely not cheap. But not expensive either. As long as each member is paying for their own entry then I don't see a problem. Paying for a whole group however might not be ideal. Be mindful if you are looking for a more budget friendly experience. Overall thank you Red Door! We had a blast! read more

The employees were friendly and helpful. We stopped in town for a concert, and would love to come play the other rooms if we're here again. The rooms themselves were very well thought out and put together. One of the activities was broken, which confused my party, however with help, we found a workaround. Funnest time in a while. We went for my sister's birthday on February 3rd. We booked last minute and got the last room at 9:55:), we got about which is a little pricey but it's pretty understandable after the experience:), the place closes at midnight! We went in the once open a time room, it was pretty epic. They showed us a short little preview for the story that we were figuring out, then put our stuff in a locker they lock:) However, then we immediately went in to our room and the time started me and my friends and sister immediately got in the experience. We started solving puzzles and moving and noticing patterns:) It was awesome it took us about 53 minutes, we had 7 mins left on the clock when we finished and figured out the room, it was actually really fun, I do think if we weren't all there we wouldn't have made it through. read more

This was such a fun family adventure! We reserved one of the rooms for our family and not only was it seamless to register everyone online ahead of time but check-in was super smooth. We ended up doing Confinement which was ideal since we had 7 folks in our group and boy was it fun! The clues are definitely out of the box and a few that you really need to not think literal. I thought we would be in that one room but nope! *Sadly I'm not going to go into detail because that's half the fun of an escape room.* We managed to pull it off with seven minutes to spare but everyone absolutely loved it. A great experience for first-time escape room players. My friend and I played the Cash Me if you Can room, which allows up to 10 players, so we definitely needed to carry our weight with the puzzles. In order to keep large groups engaged, the room features a mainline set of puzzles and several smaller bonus puzzles which are not necessary to "beat" the escape room. As the website's description states, the objective of the escape room is to collect and "cash in" as many poker chips as possible within the hour, and I found this to be a really fun scoring mechanism for how much your team was able to accomplish (and in some cases how quickly) regardless of whether you complete the room on your first try or not within the time limit. Although we did not use it, there is a hint button button you can press at any time to receive some extra insight if you are stuck on any section of the mainline puzzle, so there's no reason to worry about being stuck in one place the entire hour. If I'm ever back in El Paso, I'll be sure to give more of their rooms a shot! read more

Amazing escape room!!! Ok, so Im not exactly an escape room connoissor per se. I just had 2 other experiences in a different location in el paso. It was set up in a house in the middle of a neighborhood though. So it was kinda weird but still good. This place though has a very eclectic and professional set up! The staff is great as soon as you walk in. They were very accommodating for our group as well since we ended up being a little late from our lunch. They also offered lockers for your belongings which helped out tremendously. We booked two different scenarios for 14$ a person. Each with an hour time limit. Not bad at all! It is more expensive during the weekends which start Friday 4pm. Our room was so much fun and full of great puzzles to figure out. You really get to find out who among your friends is the smartest lol. I found that i was really good at accidentally finding clues and then i pass it on to those code crackers lol. It is worth it at whatever price!!! I truly just want to do this as a hobby so i hope this place can change it up often enough lol. Its great for a work event to build team work or even just to have a fun date night. You wont regret it! read more

People think in different ways, and this place is a wonderful way to see which of your friends think on your wavelength and who thinks on a complimentary (or not) level. It's good to have a mix, since some of these puzzles can be hard. What one person misses, someone sees as an obvious solution. There are different levels of difficulty and the hardest was waaaaay hard. Medium was doable, but I needed an extra minute to finish the last puzzle (now that I have my 2 minute extra time shirt for doing so many rooms, I could finish that one). The easy ones have some difficulty, but I'd say, that a 2 person team could effectively get out with time to spare. I'd be tempted to do the casino one one more time by myself against a team of others to see how much I remember and if I could leave with more chips then them. They even have short one, under half an hour and half priced, but it's a murder mystery. The train is about to leave and you've got to alert he cops to who the murdered and the murder was. That and Once upon a time felt the most conceptually strong. I have only one more to try here, and I will, but trying to savor it and find a good team to do it with. My only gripe is that certain room pieces are not for color blind people. In the horror room, I couldn't read the window, in the Taken room,I couldn't read the things in the last room. Thankfully I was with people who could see them for me, and it's something many places don't consider. It doesn't completely dampen the experience for me. I can't wait until they update their rooms and have a whole new set of adventures for me to solve. read more

I came with a group of 7 people. 4 of us were experienced and 3 came for the first time. We did The Taken and it was fun. It required a lot of teamwork but it was very fun. I'm usually a quiet person but this game made me talk a lot and I was able to use my logical mind. Communicating with teammates had its funny times. Our gamemaster was Ashley and she was very supportive, and her quick responsiveness helped a lot. Being able to escape a hard rated room for my very first time boosted my confidence in escape rooms. Great customer service and I cant wait to come back for the other rooms and redeem membership perks. The 1st time I came, I did The Gift. The gamemaster was not as responsive (maybe because they switched gamemasters in the middle of the game), but no minus stars because the 2nd gamemaster was supportive of our game too. but yeah, responsiveness really helps. read more

Best place to go when there is nothing to do in el paso. They have many rooms that are really cool. I went with my boyfriend and we had a challenging time between the two of us. The staff was really nice too, they greeted us and showed us how the rooms work and they even have stories behind the different rooms. We did Ruby's Dream while on a trip to El Paso and it was awesome. The staff squeezed us in since we walked in. Super creative and just challenging enough. We've done over 100 rooms and this one made us think and with a little help (okay a lot of help) from our game master, we got close to the end. The room we did was cash out it was a Vegas style room where you try to get out and get coins. There is nothing that compares to "sending it" on a night out. On multiple occasions with buddies we decided to drive down to Red Door Escape Room and have an unbridled fantastic time for a few hours. Every room felt thought out and complex, with the feeling of entering a new world anytime the door closes behind us. The staff was always above and beyond friendly, with helping us save a dollar or two, and getting us free merch or energy drinks if we answered riddles. The establishment felt clean and organized, as I've been to escape rooms that smelled like sweat and body odor, but not Red Door. I recommend anybody, novice or experienced, to spend around 20$ to have an hour of puzzle-solving and group cohesion. Can you escape? Or will your group fall apart as you find out you do not get along under pressure? read more

While checking in the girl at the desk asked us if we had a booking, we said no and she just replied 'okay' Checked in, and waiting about 30 mins before we were told it was too late and could no longer get a room. Celebrated my preteens birthday there. Booked it in September after being presented with party room. Showed it with full size foosball table and package also came with pizza from Grimaldis. This was perfect as my plan was originally to do dinner at grimaldis then do escape room. When i confirmed event day before, i was told there was no foosball table as it was broken at a previous party. I was frustrated BC entertaining a group of preteen boys is frustrating enough but in a room with no entertainment other than to anticipate escape room is difficult. Red Door, after I expressed my frustration, offered 3 free pizzas. When we arrived to party room, we received the pizzas...not from Grimaldis, as I agreed to with part package, but from Papa John's, which is pizza my son and husband strongly dislike. I was NEVER notified of the change of food vendor. This was another frustration as the whole reason we booked the party was it combined the two events we were going to do anyway, Grimaldis and Escape room. The foosball table was another reason why we booked BC it would provide entertainment for the group of boys. I got none of it. And to top it off... there were NO BATHROOMS INSIDE THE ESTABLISHMENT. We had to leave the escape room and use the PUBLIC BATHROOM OF THE FOUNTAINS near the parking lot. That was the icing on the cake. So in short, never got the catered food we agreed to nor the foosball table and had to use public bathroom. Not worth the cost of party room. We should have been advised of no bathroom in establishment, change of food vendor and no foosball table. That's why i booked the party room... Otherwise we could have just booked the escape room separately. I would not use party room again. I would just use the escape room and eat at your preferred restaurant to have private bathrooms. read more

I brought my niece and nephew in for our first escape room experience. We had so much fun here, the staff was awesome and very friendly.  We chose the "Enchanted" escape room and even though we didn't complete it ontime, our game master took the time to explain to us what we missed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating , however game was not fun. We played 'Cash Me If You Can' and it was very underwhelming. We had a group of four and have all played at least 250 games combined, so we were excited to try this place out since it was so highly rated. We got the rundown and back story of the room, and were told that the majority of things were 'side puzzles' to complete if you have time after the main part. That was not the case. The 'main' part of the game had maybe 4 puzzles. The side quests had 10+. And at the end, we needed A LOT of the side quest items to complete and escape. You can also tell game masters do not watch you as you play. At one point it took almost 3 minutes to get a clue when we asked. We were also given a clue before we had what we needed to complete that part. So it left us confused. 3 of us have worked at escape rooms and we just left unimpressed and annoyed we wasted our money. read more

Super fun place to take the family! We had a great time during our adventure at the El Paso location. The care from start to finish really counts and I felt it had a lot to do with the two employees that were there. You could certainly see that the Game Master, Thomas and the General manager, Marco were enthusiastic, energetic, inviting, informative and very passionate about their jobs. had an excellent time in the 'once upon a time room' with our group of various ages..35,19,13,11 and 3 years old. Went in for a birthday voucher we received. We were a group of five and did the hardest room there. I wish I could give this place more stars but when we were in the room we were interrupted not only once but twice. Their excuse for the first interruption was because we were told that they could hear us. Initially we thought we were being too loud? Which still didn't make sense because being timed in a room you have to escape of course emotions run high. We were laughing with each other as well as getting frustrated with each other. Second knock we were threatened being kicked out because of what we were saying and being offensive to "the girls". Still confused we asked what was said and the guy didn't even have an answer for us. Totally changed the vibe of the whole experience and didn't even want to finish. We managed to get out and the girl was very nice to us while we were leaving. Still confused how we were being rude. My advice, whisper to each other if you are going to talk crap to each other. We love escape rooms and have done a quite a few. We have been here twice - and both times we were late to get into the room. Today was the worst experience we have ever had. The room was challenging and there was only the 2 of us so we were definitely struggling to make connections but we expected that. The room wasn't the problem. The problem was asking for a clue and waiting 2-3 minutes for a response. When you're stuck and time is ticking you need a quick response. We lost probably 8-10 minutes of our time just waiting. In fact, we asked for a final clue with 3 minutes left and we never even got it.....just sat and watched the time tick down. Real shame as tomorrow is my son's birthday and I had planned to bring him back to do the scary room but it won't happen now. I'll take our business to Operation Outbreak as they have a room we haven't done yet and have always been amazing. Get your act together Red Door. read more
