I had a problem getting my reservation set up. I called a independent travel agent for help. We discovered this is NOT a HIE hotel. A simple phone call to the desk will confirm this. I didnt get so far as entering any personal information and had no worry about that. I was able to reroute our trip to enter GNP from West Glacier instead of traveling north on I-15 and coming into GNP on US Highway 2. Hopefully you will discover that this place is not an HIE as some of their adverts suggest.

I am not sure how it really works, if you want to check out before 7am, you may have to call someone. I tried to check out at 6:50 and there was a note on the door to call (which didn't work btw) then I called another number and the person was able to open the door so I checked-out. The check-out process could be optimized.. maybe have a dropbox for people to drop off keys... Dollar It was the saver price! I paid around 90$ a night. Though I feel like it isn't worth the cost. Yes/No NO I would not stay here again...

I heard the lodges fill up fast and are very expensive however. This historic hotel is quite incredible from the architecture to the settling right on the lake. It might be expensive but the time savings on being able to start hikes right from the hotel may be worth it. For people like us who did not stay overnight you can enjoy the hotel common areas and restaurants. However unfortunately no WiFi unless you are guests. And they need to install benches outside where you wait for the shuttle.

The location right outside Browning and 10 short miles from east glacier is very convenient. As we wanted to experience the unique native american life style, we found out sleeping in a tipi would be a great experience. The property is accommodating including common areas where you can get your meals if you have paid for, or just get some rest taking advantage of the wifi and TV. There are also showers in a separate building that is actually very neat and then the tipis. Tipis are authentic for sure but a little bit too wild for us. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our experience but were just surprised about the inside the tipi knowing that your sleep on the ground itself. We had seen a snake on the path leading to the showers at night ... enough to say we did not sleep too too well between the coyotes howling near by, the idea of a snake getting into our sleeping bags and the most likely drunk guys doing crazy stunts with their motorcycles in the middle of the night. Great spot but not re-assuring knowing we were the only customers. Friendly staff though!

We arrived late (~10PM) and nearly couldn't find the place because it was PITCH DARK without visible signage or lighting. Address says at Durham Road but it's really a dirt road 50 feet from Durham that is very easily missed. We found our check-in details taped to the front door. I say "found" because it was PITCH DARK so I had to use the flashlight on my cell phone and the lights to the car in order to see it. The paper directed us to Cabin 2 and said the key could be found under the front mat. We walked over uneven terrain, down stairs, across more uneven terrain to find Cabin 2. It was PITCH DARK without any outdoor lighting or lights on in the cabin. The room itself (and really, it was just a square room) was fine. It seemed clean, but was very basic. We immediately noticed there wasn't a bathroom attached. The bathrooms and showers are located in another structure back across the uneven terrain, up the flight of stairs, across more uneven terrain to the bathroom structure. Any middle of the night bathroom trips would need to be made in the PITCH DARK without any outdoor lighting. We ultimately decided it wouldn't be safe for us to stay there, so we left. We luckily found a lovely room WITH A BATHROOM at Glacier Park Lodge that was much more comfortable and safe for our family of 4. BEWARE of the misleading "private bathroom" and bathroom "a few steps away" language that are totally inaccurate and meant to mislead. Definitely not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues.

So many people on Trip Advisor has horrible things to say about this place. However, there is…read morenothing wrong with it. You are in a National Park. Here are your options. Camp, the tent camping was closed due to a grizzly bear coming into camp. Drive at least 50 minutes each way into the park. Or stay at the Swift Current Motor Inn and be in the park and right at several amazing trail heads. The room is small, but the bed is decent. Their is no AC, just open the window. People complain about the noise from neighbors, but you should be so exhausted from hiking nothing will wake you from your sleep. There at Swift Current Motor Inn there are options for rooms. We ultimately stayed at Pine Top. Cabins are available, a little larger, but no private bathroom. There is food options at Nell's. It works, but I never wanted to go back, but had to go back. There is also the market right there selling cold and bagged food. What did I learn today? I loved this place. I would go back in a heart beat. Don't hesitate to book a room here. Just do it way in advance.

It has been two days and we still have not seen the refund. Their front desk is just very incapable. It took her almost an hour to check us out and told my husband that she was reverting what the guy did the day before for the pet security deposit. It turns out that she double charges us. I ordered a cocktail with fresh mint and cucumber. It arrived with a shriveled up sprig which I took out immediately and she took it away. It was a tasty drink. I asked how the chicken was and she said very good. I ordered it. It was plenty. It came atop of rice that was cold and had some hard pieces in it and broccolini. I didn't eat either. My room was $390 (with a $250 charge for incidentals). My dinner was $55+$11 tip. That's a lot for an old run down night and evening. I'd call it a rip off. Do not recommend.
