Reached out Thursday night for quotes via Yelp. My initial request went to another hauler, but I also used the Yelp feature to ask other shops. Monica was very responsive and came in with a competitive quote. I needed a collapsible box spring, 8'x10' rug, and metal bed frame removed. I also had huge cardboard boxes that I didn't want to breakdown and lug to the recycle bins. I live in an apartment and on the third floor. The quoted rate included the foot travel, which wasn't the case for other quotes. Monica scheduled me for a no-obligation visit & quote today from 12-1. Jon provided reasonable notice and arrived on time (and masked). Jon took a look and said the original quoted flat rate would cover my items, which was great. I paid the fee and added tip via Venmo. This hauling service is A1! We have used them multiple times within the last couple of years and they have been amazing to partner with each time. 1. This company is very responsive and the owner is kind! 2. Their prices are fair and the owner is transparent about the range. 3. The workers are extremely quick! Each time this team has come to pick up our junk, they were in and out in like 10 min (or less). I think this load was a quarter load and they finished clearing the items in 5 min. I had a recent demolition project in my backyard that left me with a few small truckloads of broken concrete that I had left in my driveway. I also had a pile in my backyard. This would have taken me all day hauling this to the dump with my small pickup. This family run business quickly stepped up to the plate and worked with me through messaging while I was away at work. They arrived within the SAME MORNING I contacted them and hauled it all away - leaving no dust as if it was never there to begin with. I had a tarp that was underneath the concrete that they neatly folded and left for me at my side gate. They swept up my backyard leaving no trace of the broken concrete pieces. They did a STELLAR job and they took care of even the smallest details that earn them my 5 stars. On top of it all - pricing could not be beat by other companies I had contacted. This is long overdue, but we happened to meet Jon doing a job for our company. He seemed super reliable and we were in need of some moving services. This was a last min ask and Jon was extremely accommodating. He came with another guy who was also really hard working and awesome. We had one stop prior to our final destination for some furniture we were trying to pick up but it was stuck under a whole bunch of other items (which we did not know until we got there). Just when I thought we were going to have the leave the furniture, Jon said they could get it from under everything and did it with no problem!. Super professional and on time. I find it very hard to believe these 5 star ratings are legit. Especially since all of these five star reviews were conveniently left exactly 3 months ago at the same time and one person even had stated that they were not a friend or family member. Lol ok bro. Maybe I had a different experience because I was a female and they thought I was a sucker and didn't do my research or is it just how they treat female disabled veterans. I don't know. But what I do know is I was quoted 20 yd.³ at $700 plus additional fees for the mattresses by Monica. Well that seemed a bit ridiculous to me considering I could rent a dumpster for less than that and felt very confident I did not have anywhere near 20 yd.³ do I went ahead and did the work myself. Grand total From the dumps (Davis street transfer station) was $271.13 for 2.5 yd.³ which included the additional mattress fees plus add another $29.95 plus tax to rent a 15 foot U-Haul. My back is killing me but I saved $400 by doing it myself instead of hiring these crooks. In all fairness, they did say if they came on site and estimated it to be cheaper I would pay the lower price. I just don't see how you can misquote 17.5 yd.³ worth of trash though. I understand it's a small business but I still expect them to be professional and fair. I would think a 5 star business should be able to tell the difference between 2.5 yd.³ and 20 yd.³. The guy at the dumps didn't even look in the back of my truck he just charged me for 2.5 yd.³ based off the size of the truck which was not completely full by the way. So you have been warned and especially if you are a female you should definitely stay away. If you cannot do the work yourself I suggest going with Eco-Dumpster Out of Redwood City because they were the next lowest price I could find. Their rates were posted on their website so it's on you to order accordingly though. I'm sorry that Monica feels my HONEST review is slanderous but that is exactly why I provided screenshots of the conversation and pictures of my trash and receipts. My review is honest and transparent. I guess the truth hurts. it's sad that Monica stated it's a minority owned business assuming that I myself am not a minority. They would have had my business if they just would've been fair and honest with their pricing from the beginning. It's unfortunate but a lesson definitely learned. read more

The gentleman who came to our house hauled everything, more than what he anticipated from the initial correspondence, and did not complain one bit. Price did go up but not by much and still under priced from other companies. After he hauled our items, he even swept and made sure the area was clean before he left. We moved on the Sunday before Labor Day, and even though one mover didn't show up they were able to pack, move and unload everything in less than 5 hours! John was graceful enough to adjust the price quoted since there was one less person, and everything was handled with great care! I had an old swivel rocker and matching ottoman that needed to go. This was my third service I contacted; one never called back and the other didn't show. I reached out to Red Fox last night (a Saturday) expecting contact on Monday. Instead, they replied that they could be here this morning between 10:00 and 12:00 - Super Bowl Sunday, no less! I asked if they could let me know if they could not come and told them of my previous experiences and they assured me they would text when in the way. This morning at 9:55, I got a text saying they would be here in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, the two gentlemen showed up with masks on, took the chair and ottoman, and even agreed to take the other small chair I forgot I had. A part of moving is getting rid of unwanted "Junk." I received 5 quotes from 5 different companies. All 4 provided quotes in the same price range which may increment based on the removal location. And the amount of stairs they would have to use and/or how many steps they would have to take from the location to the junk truck. It was all added stress to the already stressful situation naturally brought upon by moving. The 5th and final quote was the best one I received. They did a great job! I requested a quote in bulk through Yelp and they were one of the many that responded with estimates. Their price was competitive with other companies and I decided to go with them. Really glad that I did! They were able to make it out the next morning, arrived on time, were efficient and it only took around an hour. They even used a broom to clean up the cement after removing the debris pile which was a pleasant surprise. My uncle passed away and I was in town handling his affairs. John and his crew were the best find ever... they were highly professional in cleaning up a serious mess. I had gone through all of my uncle's belongings but was still looking for his Navy retirement plaque and flag. I told John to watch for anything military. He came outside with my uncle's Navy Peacoat AND his Marines gold ring! I was so touched and honestly shocked that he took the time to notice these important things and was honest and caring enough to give them to me. He also handed me an envelope, saying it seemed important. I had literally spent 3 days looking for a title to a vehicle. Out of the thousands of pieces of paper in the apartment, he unwittingly found, noticed, and cared enough to give it to me. I had not even told him I was looking for it. I mean that's a needle in a haystack. Turns out it was stuck between two drawers. I also want to emphasize that these guys sort through the items onsite and separate into donate, recycle, and trash.
