Beautiful Views that really heal the soul. This one is from Christmas Day around noon.

Played our annual Golf tournament on the hills course, the conditions were great, the greens were rolling beautifully and our cart girl Susan was amazing. 48 players and she was smiling, helpful, pretty and friendly. She was amazing, making her rounds, I think we saw her 4 times, which i think is a record! Thank you!

Did not go golfing but I did go to a gala that was hosted here and we had a good time! The views are beautiful and the event room is nice. The food was provided by red hawk and it was very tasty. Only had one bartender working for what seemed to be about 75 people. Not sure if this was up to the events organizer or if this was red hawks decision but it was not enough. The line was backed up all night. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I would have an event here if I had a need.

Red Hawk Golf and Resort designed by Robert Trent Jones has two amazing custom courses which makes golfing very challenging and extremely rewarding. Lakes Course - First day of tournament play. A lot of hazards as the name implies. Only 5 holes without water, which make your playing experience quite unique unlike other golf courses. Hills Course - Second day of tournament play. Breathtaking views with ton of rolling hills makes this course very challenging. They even have a par 5 holes (10th) which is 700 yards from tee to green. Good thing it plays downhill allowing your ball to roll, roll, roll... Lol. With a ton of trees, water hazards and more than 100 bunkers, these two courses will challenge most golfers, requiring you to bring your "A" game. Good luck and have fun in Reno!

This course does a great job of catering to members, locals, and travelers alike. The resort style amenities are available but each is charged separately so that it is not terribly expensive if you just want golf. Having said that please check out the villas, David's, and the rest of the resort for when you have guest come from out of town that like to golf. The course itself is nice. We found it well maintained, great intermediate playable, and HOT. Please come prepared. There are no misting stations, there was only one water cooler we saw, no vending machines on the course, the cart only came once, and the clubhouse is far from the playing area. It was hot and because we are in the desert what little shade there is does not offer much relief. The service overall was great. The starter copped an attitude with us because the staff member in the club house granted us a normal request. The cart's GPS serves as a course marshal. It doesn't allow you to drive silly, go where you should not be, and keeps you going in the right direction. The sum it up this is a nice course for a reasonable price. We think it is among the most competitive the Reno/Tahoe area when you are looking for bang for your buck!

This was my first time playing red hawk and I had a great time. We played the lakes course. The condition of the the lakes course was decent, but the greens were just recently spiked which made it difficult to put. The scenery here was beautiful and our experience met our expectations! I can't wait to come back and play more as the corse gets better and better! Also I might add that David's grill, and the pro shop were both great places to visit before, after, or during the round of golf.

Course has seven of the original front, nine holes and two from the back nine. It is a very hilly course, and the gas golf carts were able to handle the hills quite well. The course was in great shape, and they have concrete cart paths throughout. One of the best things about playing this course is the view you get of the Valley below and all the surrounding mountains. I enjoyed playing the course. It is well laid out and even though there are a lot of houses around the course they never presented any problem. I would like to see more distance markers. None of our GPS devices were able to find the course so we were always wondering how far out we were. There is also a driving range available which has toptracer which allows the player to track distance, height and ball speed.

Once you pay the reasonable rate you line up at the first tee and take your turn. You can walk the course or rent a cart. I usually walk it and it is a good way to get some exercise. Play usually moves at a good pace and it shouldn't take more than two hours to play. The course is in fairly good condition considering it is a very popular and gets a lot of play. The average hole distance is about 150 yards. The longest hole is about 210 yards. If you don't want to spend 5 to six hours playing 18 holes this is a great alternative.

I asked a simple question and the hat dude decides to be a jacka** and give me a smart a** answer. I'm not coming to your business to give you my money if you're going to act that way. You sir have absolutely no right to talk or treat people that way. This place claims to be a First Tee course yet all I see is retired folk, not a single kid enjoying or learning the game of Golf. Pretty disappointing and to be honest, probably won't be back until things improve. I'll save my time, money, and go elsewhere; where people show other people respect, especially paying customers. Management better do better cause this is a poor way to reopen the course. I am a grown man, not a child so treat me as such!

It gets worse. Can it?! Yup. . …read more UPDATE: I Tried to Let This Go. They Didn't. After my original review about being sold a "custom" set that turned out to be badly fitted with mismatched shafts, I honestly planned to move on--especially if the shop would just pick up the phone and try to make it right. I called. More than once. No call back. No email. Nothing. If they had contacted me, I would have gladly updated--or even removed--my original review and said they stood behind their work. Instead, here we are, and things got worse. When I went to sell the clubs, the buyer pointed out: Two 50° wedges in the set (one graphite shaft, one steel). Why? What I thought was a 45° wedge is the exact same loft as my pitching wedge. So yes--I was sold two pitching wedges as well. Add that to the already mismatched shafts and bad fitting, and this "custom set" is a mess. And still: no response from the shop after multiple attempts to reach them. --- Lessons? Also a bust. I sent my wife here for an 8-week lesson package. When we finally played together, I immediately noticed her grip was way off. I asked her about it--she said, "We never talked about grip. He just kept telling me to swing." Grip is Golf 101. After eight weeks? Come on. When we addressed it in person, the instructor finally said, "Let's take a look at your grip," like it was new information. My wife also told me he was flirtatious, pushy, and that on more than one session he smelled like liquor. She was uncomfortable. We stopped going. --- Bottom line: I gave them a chance. They didn't take it. This follow-up exists because they never tried to fix the problem. Between the botched club build, zero follow-through, and questionable instruction, I can't recommend this place for fittings or lessons. Buyer beware.

Our courses up here are closed for winter and we make several golf road-trips to the Reno/Carson area during the winter to play golf. Four of us were looking forward to playing at Wolf Run. I had to PRE PAY to book the tee time, which I was not pleased about doing, but I know this is common from golf courses "managed" by groups like Duncan Golf. An hour before we were to leave on our road-trip, one of our guys texted and said he was very ill and wasn't going to make the trip. No problem I thought. I'm sure Wolf Run AKA Duncan Golf would be able to issue a refund, a voucher for a future round or something so I would not be out $65. We arrived and the golf shop employee greeted us. After giving him our tee time info, I stated that one of our guys was sick and couldn't make it. He didn't even look at me and stated flatly "It's prepaid." I asked if there was a way to receive a refund. The golf shop robot repeated "It's prepaid." He moved around the counter and was looking out the window to grab our cart numbers when my buddy in the shop with me said, "There's nothing you can do?" Shockingly (not) we received "It's prepaid" again. We went out and had a great round on a gorgeous day. Unfortunately, the cloud of stink from Duncan Golf and the golf shop robot remained beyond our round. Thank you for nothing Duncan Golf. You kept my $65 for no product/service provided.
