I have averaged spending $150 a month for more than 6 months at this store. Every time, I see the same clerk who knows me, and with your previous receipt, you get 10% off, It's even on the back page of the Santa Fe reporter that if you mention that they're supposed to give you 10% off. Well this guy decided that me buying the exact same thing every week isn't good enough so I had to go get the paper out of my car (Even though it clearly says to mention it) get behind in line, And wait to get my silly 10% off. This was my go to shop in Santa Fe for years! Maybe a new owner now but was extremely disappointed today. I walked in and the sales clerk and 2 guys he was helping were talking. No Masks...... I was never even acknowledged. I stood there as they continued talking. I still stood there until I walked out. Never acknowledged the whole time!!!! I have to mask as I am at risk. I will never go back there now. Just feel very sad about interaction today. Felt like I was invisible. read more

this is a wonderful place! i even went in there on my break one time and needed a soda and the guy gave me his! they have an incredible selection of anything you could want and really go above and beyond. very friendly and they play great music in there too which adds to the overall vibe. fair prices and again an incredible selection. read more

Would not recommend coming here everything is shitty quality. Have had two very expensive purchases go out within a day and a half back to back. Not to mention that all sales are final so when you do get your shitty product is breaks and then your suck with it. Not happy!!! I went only looking for records, the collection was fair but their pricing was way off. I've traded, bought and sold records for just over 10 years and they could benefit from some consultation like considering the influence of condition and availability on prices. I bet those records will sit there for a while, eclectic selection from classic rock, pop, electronic and experimental. Absurd pricing for most of the records, i stopped after flipping though three stacks. Only place in town I saw that had Fripp, Black Dice and Kraftwerk so thats cool if you're looking for those. read more

So, not being a pot-afficianado or a dragon chasing hipster vaping d-bag is officially now a crime. Walked in and was quickly sold a battery pack that sort of worked for my attempts to use vaping as a means to quit smoking. Shock and surprise, it didn't work. So I went back to see what tanks might work with that particular. Was quickly sold the thing that I specifically said I wasn't looking for (and I admit to not looking closely enough to realize I was being jacked). The counterperson said I'd just have to try it. Shock and surprise, Red House has a small index card written in Sharpie just under the Darth Vapor t-shirt that says 'no refunds/ no exchanges' That alone would have been fine, whatever, but the sheer deuchiness of the jerk behind the counter led me to believe that the $60 I'd already spent on a half working battery, or not at all what I asked for tank were just another annoyance to their leisurely day contemplating how be a bigger deuche tomorrow and how to out-deuche themselves the next day. Did I happened to mention the f**ked up customer that threatened me on the way out because I said "No" when he asked if I smoked weed. Classy place all around, gotta say. Well worth a stop through. I have found great records here in the not so distant past...although I have found the stock to stagnate for months.Definitely a subterranean atmosphere catering to a visceral in-your-face counterculture where you can buy fat caps, a porn, a crack pipe AND some wax...I have found some killer records here in the past. Before it was the 'red house' it was called manny's place, and there were 30 crates of wax laying around, I found some premium psych titles such as og David Axelrods and kraut like clusters there. It's definitely worth the stop every now and then. Like many stores that carry other goods, the wax is sometimes neglected, and isn't circulated often enough to warrant frequent returns. I boost it a star for the weirdness factor. read more
