So I eat a lot of dimsum in Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States. THIS UPSCALE DIMSUM RESTAURANT IS WORTH THE PRAISE AND WORTHY TO BE ON MY TOP LIST OF THE BEST DIMSUM RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER HAD. The food was great! And the service was excellent. The standards was so high as an upscale restaurant considering they only charge less than 2,000 pesos for a holiday weekend on a dimsum BUFFET! Its so unvelievable. I really loved the egg tarts and the char siu bao, siu mai. I am definitely going back to this place. And I appreciated the service even more at Red Lantern when I went to Shanghai Saloon at Podium which was horrible. Dont go there if you dont want to leave pissed off. Definitely Red Lantern ftw.

A nice place to eat while playing at the casino in the Philippines. It has nice decor and the food is quite very good.

    Something with avocado- desert- delicious

Love this place!!! I recommend it, and definitely will come back again. They have a number of teas to choose from and if you don't like your first choice you can always ask for a different kind. They will replace your tea cup when that happens cuz they want you to taste each type of tea pure and I in-contaminated with other teas. Don't believe any of the bad reviews.

I was headed to Solaire at 11 in the morning. Perhaps a little early to do some gambling ey? Maybe so. I'm not too sure if there are any rules to that. But as everyone else was headed to Solare to win some money, I was headed there to earn some calories! Good and worthy calories that is! Red Lantern is Solaire Resort and Casino's fine Chinese restaurant. It was such a delight to find a red gem tucked within the chaos of the casino. It was here where I had some of the best dimsum offerings I have ever had. Red Lantern was on promo at the time which meant unlimited dimsum for the whole family! We ordered a storm. Thankfully, we were seated in one of the restaurant's elegant private rooms so other people couldn't see how much we really ordered. Everything was absolutely delicious with no complaints whatsoever about the quality of each piece. I was also quite amused by the quality of service the restaurant provided. Will definitely be back!

Excellent service...out of this world food! Good job vanessa, Rogelio and Chester Valdez!!!

IF YOU REMEMBER ANYTHING FROM THIS REVIEW, IT IS THAT YOU MUST EAT THIS STEAMED BUN WITH EGG YOLK PASTE! It starts off as your typical dessert siopao bun, but when you bite into it, you get a burst of creamy, yellow, salted egg yolk sauce. Heaven! Remember to let it cool a bit first, I almost burned my tongue! :D We also had the Xiao Long Bao (P228) and the Shrimp & Pork Siumai (P298), which were also quite good, but the Steamed Bun with Egg Yolk Paste is the one I am recommending to everyone I know!

When Modern Shanghai opened, I got attracted to it mostly because it was new and because of the very nice interiors. Giving-in to curiousity, my Dad and I gave their Mall of Asia branch a try. We ordered the Schezuan Noodles with Spicy Peanut sauce, which we found wasn't as spicy as the other ones we've tried. This may actually be a good thing since it can suit those who can't stand spicy food, and the ones like us who like it spicy can just add chili. We also sampled their Xiao Long Bao which was good and juicy, with a mild after taste. What I absolutely love is that they have blooming tea! They serve the cup with the dried bloom and leaves, then pour hot water into the cup for you to watch. It's interesting and wonderful to watch! Something one must witness at least once.

It is located on the UG Upper Ground Floor of the Nuwa casino hotel. The GM for the hotel was standing in front of the restaurant to greet us! I did not realize I was that SPECIAL. The table setting was simply gorgeous. It was very simply stated yet simply luxurious, with it's gold rimmed tea pot and the gold plated chopstick holder. My companion Kim was simply swept off her feet by this display of simple luxury. I ordered way too much items because I was so excited to be in this magnificent dining room. I ordered 2 Foie Gras dishes and a truffle stuffed chicken dish, a fish maw soup, a walnut chicken dish, an abalone shiumai. We could only manage to consume 1/2 of what I ordered plus they gave us an complimentary gold flaked lobster dumpling and a bird cage full of little chocolate bird deserts. You would think that I really must have won the casino with my gregarious gambling!

I haven't seen it elsewhere) and it is right in front of Duty Free Shopping Mall in Parañaque. It is as you would expect any Chinese restaurant that's been there for quite a while: a little run down, smelling of bleach, the toilet (which is right next to the counter/kitchen, hmm) smells strongly of urinal cake... But somehow, families find themselves flocking to Luk Foo every time there's a big occasion... Or rather, anytime they want to eat Chinese food that's not just dumplings. Luk Foo has some of the best and affordae Chinese cuisine I've ever had. They're particularly known for the fresh sea food they have swimming in the tanks outside the restaurant. Our family always orders the steamed grouper (Lapu-Lapu), prawn with garlic sotanghon and salt and pepper crab. You won't regret ordering a full seafood menu, they're all fresh from the tanks! And if you're at a loss with what to order, you can always ask the waitresses or the manager, because they give pretty damn good recommendations. This is a good place to celebrate any occasion-- just as long as you're not bothered with how gritty it is.

The food itself has a nice variety from offering dimsum to Peking duck and braised pork. Although the food was enjoyable, we noticed there was a cockroach crawling on our table in the middle of the meal. If it didn't have that, I would've rated this 5 stars. Maybe would recommend this on a less busy day when the staff has more time to clean up? P.S. the food really is good, which is why it's not a 1 star from the cockroach. If this was the US, it would be one of those restaurants with a low food safety grade/score but still open because the food is just that good.

I was given the menu, the server showed me where to find the "solo items". I ordered the brisket and the roast pork. Service is slow here. Well almost everywhere. I don't understand that though????? There's so many staff even in the kitchen but it's just so slow! First I got my brisket. Being my first time there I was wondering where the rice was. So I asked the server who brought my brisket and I asked him really nice too! But he looked at me like I'm stupid and said something I really didn't comprehend because I was just surprised at his attitude. Then before he could leave I asked for some napkins and it's like he took a deep breath bec the napkin holder was on my table, but was behind the table card advertising! Gosh I'm sorry I didn't see it! I just felt so uncomfortable after that, almost wanted to leave but I was so hungry I stayed. Which was an unfortunate decision because I just felt again uncomfortable when he was around, pushing chairs next to my table like he was mad or something. Well anyway, got my brisket and it seems like eternity before I even got my roast pork! As in! At least 15 minute passed already. I wonder why it took sooooooo long?????? It wasn't that crowded. I could see the kitchen staff looking out, watching the band or whatever commotion is happening outside. Well the brisket just had a weird taste and the roast pork, I wish the skin was more crispy. The rice was cold already, it was probably sitting there for a long time. I called the manager to hand him my comment card and tell him my dining experience. That one server who brought out my brisket just left a very bad taste in my mouth! Would I recommend this restaurant...... absolutely NOT!
