Today my husband and I took my mother-in-law to Red Lobster in Piqua for an early Mother's Day celebration before her upcoming move. We wanted to treat her to a nice meal and enjoy some family time together. For context, my husband and mother-in-law are Black, and I am white. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt uncomfortable and disappointing. While other guests were seated in the main dining areas, we were placed off in a corner near the bar area beside an employee folding silverware and another worker vacuuming around us during our meal. The food itself was delicious, so compliments to the chef. However, the service was very poor. We ordered the all-you-can-eat shrimp, and after long waits between servings, dirty dishes piled up on our table. I eventually stacked them myself and moved them out of the way so we could comfortably eat. Our waitress was inattentive, and the overall atmosphere made us feel unwelcome. Before leaving, I spoke with the manager because I felt the situation was unacceptable. We are normally generous tippers, often giving 20-30% or more for good service, but this experience did not reflect that level of care or hospitality. I understand accommodations may be needed for elderly guests or those with mobility issues, and I completely respect that. But throughout our visit, everyone else was seated in the regular dining areas while we remained isolated in the corner. It was hurtful, disappointing, and honestly felt discriminatory. Families should be able to enjoy a meal together without feeling singled out or uncomfortable. If you choose to dine at Red Lobster in Piqua, Ohio, I hope your experience is better than ours was today. read more

Just about everything. Fish was overcooked, coleslaw was terrible. The price was way high for the quality of food. The only highlight was the service. Waitress was attentive, and gave us good service. However that being said the prices were ridiculous for the quality of food. Count me out on this place next time I want seafood I will head to Springfield Red Lobster. read more

We usually go on Wednesday for the special. The last dozen or so times we have been there we have been completely satisfied. Over the years there have been times when the lobster tails have been overcooked (rubbery) . Lately tho they are always excellent! Also you guys have the best salads. Then there is the free stuffed mushrooms with the rewards points! Definitely yummy! Staff is very friendly , never a complaint about bad service. read more

One of my favorite things about this place was how kind the worker was I didn't catch her name but she was kind and treated us respectfully. the food was also really good it was almost too good I ate so much I got really full. Visited two weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. Have not been to a Red Lobster in years and my experience was fantastic! The fish and chips were great! Food was extremely bad. Lobsters were overcooked and tough. Scallops were cold and unappetizing. Service was extremely bad. They were not very busy, but food still took an excruciating amount of time and service was nearly nonexistent. I can't see ever eating here again. read more

Food is standard for Red Lobster, which is ok but not great. Management acts they are doing the customers a favor by allowing them in a building. Waited 15 minutes for water and biscuits didn't come until I was done eating entree. Was told only 1 person can make biscuits and the single tray dropped on floor so basically no biscuits for 45 minutes. I thought we got lucky when we went inside and there were almost no customers. Red Lobster at Miller Lane was terrible today. Took 2hrs to get seated and served. Could actually see my food dieing at the pass as it sat there for 15 minutes. Shrimp was cold (naturally). Shrimp in the linguine still had the tails on them. Server brought more popcorn shrimp to replace the cold ones. Asked me if I wanted a box to take the cold ones home. Haven't been here in a long time but our usual go to places were closed yesterday giving Red Lobster a chance to lure us back. At this price point the service was not good. We had to ask 2 times for water & were nearly done eating when it arrived. Several folks around us had to get up to get their own utensils after their food arrived. The food! Used to be our favorite clam chowder but today it was runny and bland with very little clam in it. I got the tuna poke' bowl & the tuna tased good but there was nothing else except the tuna & 4 chips. I hate to complain about too much tuna but it needs something to cut it if only a few more chips, preferably a crunchy veggie or lettuce. Hubs got the shrimp & lobster zoodle thing and again it was runny & tasteless. Plenty of shrimp which were great & lobster which was good but the noodles & sauce were runny & bland tasting. Also the timing was so off. Still eating my cup of chowder when the salad arrived & barely into the salad when the main dish arrived. Also the table was greasy and I had to wipe off the seat with my original napkin due to some kind of liquid on it. Good luck getting another napkin. They should have brought their A game on this day when so many other restaurants in this price point were closed. I'm super sad that it was so awful, we won't be back. Our service was ok. I have been a server my whole life and if I wait on someone with 3 kids I would offer napkins I had to ask for them 2 times before she brought them to me. She refilled my tea and my husbands glass was empty and never asked him if he wanted on. Brought out the food and never came back till we got the check so it was ok. All of the food was great thought , only waited about 25 minutes which we had a steak so that was perfectly fine with us. I just wish the service was better. I kind of felt like just because I was young and in sweat pants I got pushed to the back burner. But I have never been a bad tipper. So don't judge your tables by what they look like or their age. read more

Very crowded seating area. It was very inconvenient when sitting or getting out from the table to step away. Food was good, but our waitress at my particular visit seemed very eager to close up shop and head home. Lighting was very dim, causing us to use our cell phones to read the menu. OK, to begin with, Red Lobster is not my favorite restaurant. I think its pricey and I've had better seafood, even inland. But it's not terrible. I live out of state so this trip to the RL in Piqua was requested by a relative of mine whom I was visiting. She's had a stroke and it's a treat for her to get out of the house. We went at 2:00 figuring it wouldn't be crowded (it wasn't) so we wouldn't have to wait or be squished in at the table. Also, it would be easier for her to maneuver a walker and hear conversation (she wears hearing aids). The place was practically empty--so far so good. My brother and his wife joined us. They ordered an artichoke/lobster dip appetizer. It tasted good but and I thought the lobster was a little chewy. (One would think that at least lobster would be done right!) I ordered fish and chips. I took most of the fried coating off, which I usually do. The fish was a little dry and rather skimpy. The fish at Wendy's is better and more plentiful than this. Thank goodness for the yummy biscuits for I would have left hungry! Like I said, Red Lobster is NOT on my top 10 list of favorite places to eat. It doesn't make the list at all. Management might want to provide some training for their employees. Our server was very impatient and spoke curtly to my relative when she was trying to order. Yes, she speaks very slowly and patience is needed. But like I said before, there was practically no one in the place. The only reason I didn't give this place 1 star is that my guest thoroughly enjoyed her shrimp. This will be my last trip to Red Lobster ANYWHERE! read more

This was not a good visit for my mom, her friend and me. I've eaten here for years and the last couple of times have not been great. I had fish and chips, which I'm sad to say, I've had better fish and chips at the local VFW fish fry. For 12.99 you'd think it would have been better. The Caesar salad was good. The fish was tasteless and a little over cooked and I had hardly any fries. My mom ordered Parmesan crusted tilapia which was good but the asparagus was wilted and looked like weeds on her plate. For $2.50 extra you'd think that would be good too! My mom's friend ordered the all you can eat shrimp and they got her first request wrong but no big deal they did bring out the correct order. She requested French fries and they gave her mashed potatoes. Every time someone came to the table we asked for lemons, it took us 5 tries to get our lemons. Red Lobster has really gone down hill, if you want to charge the high prices for food, at least make the food and service quality. We had one waitress who was helpful, ours didn't seem to want to do her job. read more

When I first went to this particular Red Lobster, i had just moved to town in 2003 and it sucked . The waiter was nowhere to be seen after we sat down to order. the place was crowded and the seating is only made for people who are 100 lbs wet. Seats are crushed together to fit more in i guess. the food was sub par to what we paid and the lobster tank was dirty. I thought well, maybe it was just an off day, I mean we DID go on a friday afternoon. Years had passed then we went there again in may, 2013 on a weekday. Well, guess what. Still sucks. The place was still loud, chairs are still crammed in the small dining area. Our order took forever to get to us and when it did come, the admirals feast platter was cold and the fried items were rubbery and tasted old. NEVER AGAIN! I will be buying my own seafood from now on and get the old bay biscuit from Sam's Club. I will not only save money but I will also be happier and not squeezing out of my table area. We were seated at a table, ordered drinks and an appetizer and when it was time to order the main course my husband ordered fresh fish and they told us they didn't have several different kinds of fresh fish. My husband said that if he would have known that then we would not have eaten there and the waitress, "Chaz" had the nerve to start slamming our water glasses down after filling them with water. This was Saturday, July 16th (my son's birthday) and the manager said that their fresh fish comes in on Tuesdays. My wife and I have terrible luck when going out to eat with horrible service and less than satisfying food. This was not one of those times. Red lobster is a sea food place with sone decent wood fired grill options for non seafood and not the cheapest place to eat but the food was great. We had one of the best servers I have had in a very long time, (named Keith) he was attentive to our needs and checked back often but not so often it was annoying. If I opened a restaurant today I would go back to offer him a job. He totally made it a 5 star experience. read more
