This is not the accurate location of this coffee shop, you'll get stuck down a snowy road going to nowhere. It's by bobs espresso

The coolest thing about this spot seems to be their rotating specials year round! The lucky charms cold foam my book bestie described from their last year's St. Patrick's day menu sounded drool-worthy. I was super excited to try their Valentine's day offerings. The woman at the counter who took my order was so sweet. She helped me put together the perfect custom drink for me: a 16 oz oat milk dark chocolate mocha with raspberry syrup and raspberry cold foam on top! It was delicious, I loved how fluffy and sweet the cold foam was and the dark chocolate in the mocha was delectably rich. I was also super excited about their diverse pastry selection! I've never seen a raspberry cornetto before and I was super excited to order it. I loved that it was literally like having a croissant with jam which is one of my fave breakfasts! One of my pet peeves is when croissants are too flaky and hard to tear apart with your fingers, but this one was super easy to tear apart and eat, though it still was fairly messy. The cosy atmosphere made it easy for me and my book bestie to spend hours chatting over our drinks. I love the huge windows that allow for so much natural light an incredible view of Mount Sci. I'd definitely love to come back with my watercolours and paint it. Since this is my book bestie's fave coffee shop spot, I'm sure we'll be back here soon! I'm super excited to keep exploring their seasonal drinks.

They have several alternative milk options, are very reasonably priced and offer $1 refills on drip coffee, and have lots of pastry (including gluten free, vegan, and gluten-free vegan options!) options as well. The medium drip coffee wasn't my all time fav but wasn't bad either! Staff were super nice, and service was quick. There is a huge amount of indoor and outdoor seating; it was a place where you could both be there to read/study or to catch up with friends. The best part is that the outdoor seating has a beautiful view of Mt. Sai, the most popular hike in the area. We will definitely come back for our coffee needs when passing through North Bend. PS they have a loyalty program if you're local!

I'd heard this place had outdoor seating with a view, so we figured it would be a good spot to stop with our dog. Parking can definitely be a challenge, but we eventually found a spot and walked up. My husband took our dog to the pet area, which has a nice walkable path and plenty of trees to sniff. Dog approved. There was a decent line, but honestly there were plenty of things to look at while waiting. Two people ahead of me even bought souvenir sweatshirts and T‑shirts. The service was incredibly friendly--the barista taking orders was patient and kind. I ordered my husband a latte with a chocolate chip cookie and got myself a coconut latte. I was a little apprehensive because coconut in a latte can easily turn into a sugary mess, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavor was nicely balanced: good espresso with just a hint of coconut. We enjoyed our drinks at a picnic table in the dog area. Super relaxing. There is also a gazebo for people to enjoy drinks (non dog area). It was very cute and people really seem to enjoy it, I like to come back but better with maybe when it wasn't so busy but definitely worth going to

Let's start with the service: From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted like royalty. The cashier didn't just say hello--he beamed at me like I was the long-lost heir to the Lee's Summit throne. Need help finding something? They don't just point--they escort you. I asked where the beef jerky was and got a full guided tour of the snack aisle, complete with flavor recommendations and a brief history of teriyaki. I've had less attentive service at five-star restaurants. Now brace yourself for the soda machine. This isn't a soda machine. This is a carbonated cathedral. A fizzy fountain of dreams. I approached it cautiously, unsure if I was worthy. It glowed like the Ark of the Covenant. There were flavors I didn't even know existed--Peach Vanilla Dr. Pepper? Cherry Lime Sprite? A root beer so rich it could pay off my student loans? And the ice--oh, the ice! Perfectly crunchy, chewable nuggets of frozen bliss. I filled my cup, took a sip, and nearly dropped to my knees. I've tasted vintage wines, artisanal coffees, and hand-pressed juices--but nothing compares to the liquid euphoria that flowed from this machine. The rest of the store? Immaculate. Shelves stocked like a Swiss watch. Bathrooms cleaner than a hospital operating room. And the deli? Don't even get me started. I had a turkey sandwich that made me question every other sandwich I've ever eaten. If you're within 100 miles of Lee's Summit Deli and Grocery, cancel your plans. Drive there. Experience it. Let the soda machine baptize your taste buds and the staff restore your faith in humanity. Five stars isn't enough. I'd give them a constellation.
