I had the pleasure of attending the preview of the new Donna Summer Musical and it was Amazing.

Red Mountain is an awesome community theater that offers broadway like productions throughout the year. The shows are professional, and the talent is impressive. The Red Mountain Theater organization has been providing Birmingham with musical performances for many years, but they didn't have a permanent home until now. The new location opened in 2021, and it is spectacular. It is located in the heart of the city on 3rd avenue about a block away from Regions Field. The new location is not just a theater, it is an arts campus that encompasses everything to support musical theater. The main theater seats about 450 people. The theater is very well designed, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. You need to experience it to truly appreciate how nice it is. Red Mountain Theater is one of those little gems that makes Birmingham special. The permanent campus is amazing, and a game changer for the arts community.

I am so very happy that Red Mountain Theater finally has a grade A home! The theater offers a variety of youth and adult dance, acting, and other art related classes. They also put on fabulous productions throughout the year that reflect their hard work. I've had the pleasure of experiencing RMT personally (as a guest) and professionally. My fav show was their 2022 holiday spectacular It was a collection of songs performed by kids of all ages and a few core adults. From the streamlined check-in and seating processes, to the tasty drinks prepared by the in house bartenders, everything flowed smoothly. Whenever I've worked with the RMT for smaller productions or professional development events, their team has been quick to respond and very supportive on the day of. Drew, their Director of Operations, is a joy to work with. You'll see him zipping around the theater tackling different tasks but he manages to keep the ball rolling every time. I've also grown fond of their ushers who also step in and assist in a variety of ways. I look forward to seeing how RMT continues to enrich the Birmingham community with their stellar productions an

This is one of my favorite theaters in town. The layout provides for an intimate setting and their isn't a bad seat in the house. I have been here several times to view both films and live productions. Sound quality is great for both. Also, the theater is always very clean and the staff is friendly.

Surprised my beauty and the beast obsessed daughter with tickets to see Disney Beauty and the Beast Broadway Musical the week of her bday last June. She was so excited about meeting Belle before the show! The theatre was a nice size. We sat way in the back but we were able to see everything with no problems!

The room set aside for dining is great for most any type of hosting venue. Great sound system without any echos or distracting noises to interrupt a performance. I attended a disability fashion centered experience titled "Every Body Blooms." Sponsored by NCHPAD, UAB Arts In Medicine. This was such a beautiful fashion show showcasing the confidence of the models and their creativity in fashion. One model remarked that "When you look good, you feel good." I would encourage everyone to follow NCHPAD to learn more about the disabled community and how they adapt to the abled body society. Again, this is a wonderful venue. I'll be back for other shows and performances.

This is a great venue!!!! Highly recommend attending a show here if you get the opportunity. Parking was tough since I was running late but that was to be expected. Locating street parking is NEVER fun or easy! I ended up parking in a student lot ... no problems since the event was on a Sunday. My car wasn't towed! Ha! This was a great event and I'm so glad Eric Benet spent his birthday with us here in Birmingham, AL!!!! FUN NIGHT!!!!!!

It is a beautiful and elegant venue that has been renovated over the years but kept its identity to its original state. I've attended several events here over the years, from concerts, to movies to guest speakers. My high school graduation was held here back in 1997. There are usually snacks such as popcorn available for purchase and beverages. I don't remember other food being available. The staff is always pleasant and ready to assist. Pro Tip: The seating on the lower level is much more comfy than upstairs, especially if you are hippy or curvy or just want more room. Buy your tickets keeping this in mind.

I'm not sure about prices, I didn't have any. I don't think any of the seats are bad for viewing the stage.i do think that they should invest funds into renovating or replacing the seats. The seats are short, low and small. They also do not have an elevator. Be prepared to climb many stairs if you don't purchase floor seats. They seemed to have improved the sound system, which really made the musical experience better. I thoroughly enjoyed Orchestra Noir and can't wait to see them again next year. I will definitely go back.

If nobody told you about it, I'm really not sure how you'd know it's here. It's tucked away in the upper level of an antique store. Sounds really random, and it is, but it somewhat adds to what this place is offering! Before the show starts and during intermissions, you'll be able to tour the upstairs of the antique store... which is large btw! Real character, this place has. There's popcorn and candy for purchase before entering the theater. It's pretty much a black box with stadium seating, a short platform stage and everything from sound to lights seemed somewhat rigged but fully functioning of course! You don't have to go Broadway to see a good theater performance and this Birmingham locale is the perfect example of such! This ecclectic theater atmosphere just may suit your fancy for a new evening activity in the city!

The actual theatre itself is on the smallish side, which I think makes for a more personal experience. Because seating is limited, be sure to get there early for your front row seats! The first night of each show is "hobo night" where you can pay whatever you want to see the show. Theatre can get expensive, so I appreciate this option. I'm not sure if there is an age-limit to the shows here, but I'm going to assume that most aren't kid friendly as there have been pretty adult themes (language, particularly) in the shows that I've seen.

In all honesty the credit for that goes to our hosts who were most gracious to have us come and celebrate their daughter's nuptials. Onto the review. The buffet was good. I had the corn and green tomato soup (not pictured). I thought it would look and taste differently. It was a broth base, and I assumed it was going to be more or a bisque or puréed vegetable base. It did not look appetizing at all. The tortilla strips served on the side should be left off the plate because they aren't good and add no value to the dish. I was craving a steak and the kitchen graciously not only gave my options (flank vs. petite filet) but agreed to make it. However, I wish they had said "no" and said they couldn't do it. It was extremely underwhelming. I had to send it back because the first dish was gray and overcooked for medium rare. The set-up on the plate was fine (succotash and gnocchi), but I hated that there was little color contrast with the yellow pea shoots as a garnish. It definitely took away from the overall presentation of the dish. There were other issues with the temps of the food st my table as well. It appears that there's fundamental difficulty in cooking at either end of the spectrums but they do a great job at medium. Overall, great service, great view...food- completely underwhelming and glad I didn't have to pay for it.
