We unfortunately had to leave early due to smoke from wildfires in the surrounding area. Art was very gracious about our early departure including not charging us for the day that we were not able to use. We certainly hope to visit again when the air quality is better and we can truly enjoy the beautiful view of the Columbia River.

I have been to this resort every single season of the year, and every single season has something to offer. The wild life are amazing. The owner goes above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. I was especially impressed with what this resort had to offer. There is something for everyone: vacation rentals, RV parking, and campsites. The best part was that I was able to bring my horses. There was an outdoor arena, trails, and much more. I never had to worry about anything. She was the expert on site when I had an issue with my horse. It was real simple and we got it figured out. Maria, the owner went out of her way to accommodate and was a pleasure to deal with. I stayed in the Kokanee Suite while in Nelson visiting my son. Walking distance to all the sights and restaurants downtown. Skylights. Beautiful view of the water from the porch. Fully equipped kitchen with local coffee provided. Comphy bed. Warm lighting and homey comfortable decorating. The piece de resistance for me was the deep claw foot bathtub .... bubble baths after a day of hiking ... yes please! Can't wait to return!!
