    Yellow Coconut Curry
    Austin P.

A local recommended this place to us, so we decided to check it out. I started with the Rum Toddy, which was quite tasty. I now want to try making cardamom honey to add to a regular Hot Toddy. I had the Yellow Coconut Curry with chicken. It was nice and comforting for a cold night, but the chicken was half-shredded - the kitchen clearly made pulled chicken, but didn't pull the chicken enough because there were clumps of unshredded chicken. My partner got the Mac and cheese, which was also comforting. We'd go back here again and recommend it to others.

We had an amazing group dinner at the Steamshoval. All the food was delicious. The Curry special, the Fish & chips, pontine and Buffalo Caesar wrap. The desserts were amazing churros and cookies. Excellent service. This is must dine location.

Canada oh Canada! Always impressed with food innovations, menu creativities, and excellent taste! Regardless how small of a town is, most restaurants serve way better taste food than in US.

Off the main strip in Rossland, BC. From the outside, the stucco exterior doesn't garner too much of a reaction but it is a hotel (upstairs) and a nice gastropub on the ground floor. Very spacious interior with the trappings of the Victorian era that many of the buildings in Rossland identifies with. Wood paneling and dental adorn the windows. Definitely a local spot where all the residents come out for food, spirits, and live music. Lots of room for a lot of people wanting to warm the hearts and bodies on a cold weekend night in Rossland. Food was good. Nice variety for people wanting the standards such as burgers or something more healthier such as the Poke Bowl. Lots of beers on tap with BC and Canadian offerings such as Phillips, Steamworks, Fourwinds, and a Rossland Mosaic IPA. So next time you're done skiing at Red Mountain and want to finish the day with good food and drink, stop by The Flying Steamshovel.

We've been here a few times over our trips to Rossland, and have continually been impressed by the flavors. I'd have to say this is my favorite spot in town, with an eclectic menu and solid drinks and beer options. We missed happy hour this time, but it's a great value if you can make it in the late afternoon. The place has a very chill, family friendly atmosphere, with kind service. I can't stop ordering the Bibimbap, it is so delicious. This time we tried the paper plane and house whiskey sour for cocktails!

Great selection of local beer and they serve em super cold! Service was also great!! To eat we had chicken wings, cauliflower and tacos: Wings were good, crispy with a coating. I'd recommend 3/5 Tacos were the star, they were delish, we wished we ordered a double order. We got the haddock, and pulled pork. Pork was slightly more tasty than the haddock. I'd order this dish again. Highly recommend 5/5 Cauliflower was unfortunately not great. Had a coating and some of it wasn't cooked. The taste was bland as well. Don't recommend 2/5 Gave a 4 because of the tacos & awesome beer selecri

We came here on a recent trip to the area and loved it so much we came back a couple days later ! The first time we ordered from the happy hour menu - tacos, wings and cauliflower. The second time we ordered off the regular menu and had the scotch egg, bibimbap and Mac n cheese. Everything was super tasty! Service was kind and efficient. They have an impressive selection of beers on tap - including a Bellwoods sour. Would definitely return if I was in the area !

    Perfection in fish and chips.

This is for the hotel. It was dirty and full of bed bugs. Stay somewhere else. I've been suffering from my experience for weeks.

The Library Lounge has a very old English Gentlemen Club look and feel with bookshelves on the walls ( hence Library ). I say amazing customer service is that the restaurant staffs are very accommodating and also courteous, while we were waiting for our table, ( they had a very very busy Wednesday night ), even the Bar Tender came to chat with just keep us happy. We ordered: To start : Beef Barley Soup / Borscht both were done well but it took about 45 mins. before our soup appeared, our server did communicate to the kitchen but still our soups were not ready until later! I do not blame the server at all, but I saw a few tables before us got their soups or salads and they all came after us. Oh well, sometimes the kitchen staffs are hard to deal with. Steak & Prawns - Cooked to perfection, the meat is slightly on the lean side for my taste, but still very flavourful. Seafood Pasta - Tomato based sauce filled with Halibut, Salmon, Mussels etc. Creamy and full of fresh tomatoes, the pasta can be a tad more al dente and will be perfect! Nice ambience, with live music, this is a great spot to come enjoy a relaxing evening with good food and wine, and of course the very friendly staffs and even fellow dinners!!
