The best executive course in metro Detroit. It's just a shame they won't extend a few par 3s to 4s. They have the land to do it.

Awesome little course, close to work. Maybe I liked it because it made me feel good to shoot a 37...and beat my son!

Let me start off by saying my family and friends have belonged and loved Red Run for probably a…read moredecade now. However, my child had a recent experience there that did not sit well with me. My daughter and her two friends (also members of the club) went inside the clubhouse on a weekday afternoon for lunch. They were not dressed paticularly fancy, but they were also not in inappropriate or distressed clothes. Nothing they have not worn hundreds of times with me to eat dinner there. When they arrived, it was an obviously slow afternoon and there was not one other party inside for lunch. When three of them (19 year-olds) walked up to be served, the two hostesses gave them a rude look, then continued seating them. After they were seated and drink orders were taken, the two hostesses and waitress began staring at them from a distance, whispering and clearly pointing as if they didn't have the common sense to know how rude that was. After they had gotten their drinks, a staff member came up to them saying they weren't dressed appropriately to be eating in the clubhouse and had to leave immediately. Embarrassed, the kids left. Now don't get me wrong. I have belonged here for ten years and I am very familiar with the dress code. It is possible the kids were slightly underdressed. However, the way the handled it is what is completely absurd and unprofessional. Why would you seat them, take their drink orders, and whisper and stare before deciding they can't be served? It is so disgustingly rude. Second of all, I know for a fact when I come in with my daughter to eat in the same clothes, they never comment or question the attire. Why? Because it is easy to be rude to young people and get away with it. There was literally no one else in the club eating and they had to waste these kids' time by seating them, then deciding they didn't want to anymore. So gross and unprofessional. We pay for these kids to be members too, so the biased behavior towards mature and respectful young people is almost humorous. I hope the bratty female hostesses and waitress learn this is not the way to handle a situation. I've seen McDonald's workers with more respect towards customers.

That's not a niche market, that's meaningful buying power. Unsurprisingly, women also lead, participate in, and influence a significant portion of major household purchasing decisions. For example, thousands of dollars worth of clubs. In any sales environment, acknowledging every customer who walks through the door isn't just courteous, it's smart business. Unfortunately, during my visit, the lack of engagement felt noticeable. What could have resulted in two sales ultimately resulted in none. Beyond the missed revenue opportunity, the experience felt dismissive. I've been golfing for nearly a decade, have participated in multiple leagues and currently active in numerous female-focused golf groups. I value supporting businesses that actively support and welcome women in the game. Based on this experience, I don't recommend this company.`Not to any of my girlfriends or guy friends. Remember, it costs zero dollars to acknowledge women.

Came here over the 4th of July weekend in 2016. I added some pictures of the greens I took, which…read moresay way more than the following words ever could, but nonetheless: Pros: - The woman working the counter was extremely nice. - There is FootGolf if that's your thing (try it!) - 18 holes with a cart cost $16 if you get the Earlybird before 9am. - The course plays very short, which is great for less skilled players like myself. Cons: - The back 9 is closed due to flooding, so it's a 9-hole course. It hasn't rained in weeks, so there's a bigger issue going on. - This is EASILY the worst maintained course I've ever played. Please look at the photos I posted. The greens are unkept and have weeds, mushrooms, and huge patches of dirt on them. Fairways are a mere suggestion that require a rescue club in most cases, even if you pinged your drive dead straight. If you are a poor golfer and want to go out and mess around, this place might be OK (if you get a discount). If you care at all about putting without your ball bouncing up in the air or getting stuck in a three-inch patch of weeds a foot from the hole, then this is not the course for you. Gave this two stars only because the lady was so nice and because I paid so little to play.

Foot golf is played on the same course as golfers, however there are different holes big enough for soccer balls. I get that this is in Detroit. This is a small course that needs a lot of grooming. It was a little difficult to navigate the course without any paths even for a small course. The 1st hole was just a giant hole dug out in the ground. No PVC, just a hole full of water. The other holes were stuffed with big buckets that had a lip and rope handles. This made it very difficult to get the ball in due to bouncing off either one. Also, there was a huge hornet's nest hanging low from one of the trees. Really? This is something that can easily be taken care of. It's A-OK because it wasn't horrible. Staff was very friendly, as were other golfers. The facilities and carts were clean.
