I have wanted to throw on this course for a long time. I had heard about it and tagged it but I didn't know when I would be in far Northern New Mexico. well the other week I made it. Myself and a couple friends made the drive up form Albuquerque, leaving early in the morn to make it there at a decent morning hour. We had to call the ski place to find it, google maps took us a wrong way. Once we did we realized we had to take the chair lift to ther top of the mountain. I had never been on a chairlift in the summer so that was pretty cool in itself. Once on top the(and during the lift ride) the views were incredible. The town below was full of tourists soaking up the mountain town vibe, but I sure hope they knew about the lift to the top. We got our discs out and found our way to the 1st tee. The 1st view alone was incredible. When I teed off with a throw where I actually took a little off it, it shot out of my hand for a massive drive. We quickly adjusted our effort on our drives as the thin air made the drives go forever. We went through the holes from dark forests to mountain side fairways to birch bark forests. It was an exhausting round but very much worth the big round trip drive. We promised to come back one day and stay in town so we can enjoy the course but stay local. Definitely one of the best courses in the US. read more
