I want to share my experience so other customers can be careful when bringing their vehicle to Red Rock Tire Auto Center, located on 29th Street in Hialeah, 410 H. I came in for a simple oil change, and shortly after leaving the shop, my vehicle started making a strange noise. After checking, I noticed that the lower engine splash shield had been left loose, apparently due to a mechanic's mistake during the service. When I returned to the shop, I spoke with Carlos, who seems to be in charge, and I was told that I had to wait in line again like any other customer just to have the screws tightened--even though this issue was clearly caused by their own mistake. Since this was not my fault, I believe they should have given me priority and fixed the problem immediately, instead of making me wait again. On top of that, the vehicle was overfilled with oil, which is very concerning and could potentially cause engine damage. This experience shows a lack of attention to detail and poor customer service. I strongly recommend that anyone visiting this location be very careful and double-check their vehicle before leaving the shop. read more

I took my car to get new tires, charged me $94.00 per tire plus fees, they've been running out of air every 4-5 days, I took the car in again and they claim they are not flat, no screws, or foreign objects in any of the tires, it 'might' be a tire defect. So? No warranty? While I was there I told them about the check engine light being on, they charged me $350.00 to put it in the computer, and this would guarantee me the repair was done correctly. 3 weeks later the light was back on, took it back, and they 'don't know' what's wrong with the car, so, again, no refund for the supposed 'warranty'? Horrible service, they're all a bunch of inept mechanics, they just want your money and don't take responsibility for their service. read more

I've taken some cars here a couple of times. I have a tendency to call whenever I am thinking of going to get a service done that I can't do myself such as alignment, they are always very courteous and helpful on the phone. From my personal experience these folks are very honest and even steered me away from doing something that did not make sense at the time (alignment with tires that have wear on the edge). While at the shop I can't help but hear conversations, and they genuinely seem to want to help people. Took my truck in for repairs that they gave me an estimate for $330.00. Got my truck back 3 days later and total $658.00. still not running right. The following day tuck broke down had a towing bill and and a $125.00 bill for more repairs. They use wrong type of hoses from my radiator to transmission. Hosed failed and leaked out all the fluid. Went back to tell them and they took no responsibility. They told me where I had my truck fixed they showed me an old hose. Two months before I bought 2 new tires for my truck. I left Red road tire and felt my truck shaking. I pulled over to check and found they had not tighten the lug nuts on my left front tire. I called them with my cell phone and the owner asked if i was sure. Again did not take any responsibility. Last year took my wife's car in for an oil change. I live about 1/2 mile away. My wife picked the car up by the time she got home her check oil light was on. They forgot to tighten the oil drain plug and the oil leaked out. They got lucky that she didn't drive any further. As the saying goes 3 strikes and our out. This place is full of excuses and take no responsibility for thier work. I have known the owner for many years. We went to the same high school. Be careful!!!!!. I went last Saturday to check the AC of my car and the guy spent Lest than 20 minutes and charged me $55.00 just to find out the problem. I asked him why he didn't Put gas and he said he did but the hose needed To be changed. I was very upset bc in reality he didn't put gas and gave me a estimate of $290 to fix it. Today, I took my car to another mecanic, and he just put gas and he AC is working fine and by the way he Check the hose and is fine. WARNING!!!! DON'T BE RIPPED OFF AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I went to Red Road two years ago to buy tires... They sell both Chinese and American tires... I decided to get cheap Chinese tires because I thought the car was only temporary and I will take very good care of the tires... They sold me all four tires for a total of $250 (includes mount, balance, valve, and state fee with tax). Well, two years later, I go to Sears to do a brake and tire check because the car had been making a lot of noises with the brakes and tires... And the first thing the service mechanic tells me from Sears is that the tires are the wrong size... He showed me that the tire size info. was on a sticker put on the drivers side door by the manufacturer of the car. So, I go back to Red Road and it was the worst, most embarrassing experience for those people. The lady who sold me the tires told me that they don't check the manufacturers tire size, they get the tire size from the ones it has on or what the customers request. Then, she comes and blames me that I was the one who picked that size, when I know nothing about cars and tire sizes... It was a big laugh and a bunch of excuses for these people. Don't waste your money... Go to a place that does the job well and GUARANTEES there work... By the way, the best place to buy tires is tirerack.com and they will ship it to your house... Go to one of these places and tell them to swap tires and it will come out 40% cheaper guaranteed!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND BE CAREFUL, YOU MIGHT BE GETTING RIPPED OR HAVE GOTTEN RIPPED OFF!!! By the way, the tires and mechanic services are not that cheap and they really don't do a well job. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! Just advice. Update: 7/2010. I bought four new tires (Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position) from http://www.discounttiredirect.com/. It's free shipping and I got the last tire free because of a promotion they were having. They shipped it to my house and I installed it at a local shop all for under $400 (mount, balance, alignment, valve, and state fee with tax).
