Bartender was very nice and helpful. This establishment does not serve food anymore however.

Walked in hoping to get a bite to eat and a drink with the family. The waitress/bartender never even acknowledged us walking in. We sat at a table for over 10 minutes without anyone asking us what we would like to drink or eat. The bartender just sat there and spoke to people at the bar. We got up and walked out after being ignored the entire time. Such a long fall from what the place used to be. Will take our business elsewhere. read more

What a great hang out. Pool tables and fantastic jukebox. Warm folks and a wry bartender I love deeply. What more could you want?

How happy were we when we walked in to a random local bar as two girls alone and we were immediately invited to play Liars Dice - my favorite bar game! How did they know?! We originally went in for just one beer on our way around town and ended up getting treated to another beer by a young man in his motorcycle leathers.He was so interesting and funny and told us all about the local area. Came in here on 7/6, a Tuesday because someone recommended it to me. SO GLAD I went. Nice bar, with pool tables, games, and food. I din't catch the bartenders name, but i would go back just for her. Great service, above and beyond, always with a great smile and seemed to know everyone's name. There were a cast of locals in there, which made it extra fun, and one of them shared the same hometown (500 miles away) and high school friends with me. Crazy small world. Every real 'murican needs a local watering hole within stumbling distance of home, and for me it's the Red Rock. Here's the thing about Red Rock: It's in one of the more prosperous rural areas near Redding, which is located in the far northern reaches of California where prosperity is an egalitarian thing, so the clients are a mixture of wizened old timers, redneck construction workers, and hobby-ranch professionals pretending to be cowboys. But it's cool. You can shoot pool, throw dice, talk politics or sports, and force people to listen to Drive-By Truckers on the internet jukebox. When we leave we usually play Roger Miller's "King of the Road" on that jukebox, and Hester the barkeep leads the inevitable sing-along. The local drinkers serenade us into the night. read more

Who was I kidding? In the weeks surrounding my wedding we were up here a lot, and we were drinking a lot (wedding planning does that to you). Hester, the barkeep at Red Rock, is always friendly and ready with a strong drink or a cold beer. She also remembers my name and who I am, which earns her extra points since I no longer have to dig around in my bag for an ID. Again, bonus for the excellent location, the jukebox, the free popcorn, and the variety of bar games (dice, pool). read more

Nice little country feeling bar,drinks we did get were good, our waitress was very nice and she waited on us quickly the local patrons were all very friendly. The bad thing was they say they take credit cards but the really don't they do have a ATM machine but we don't use or have a debit card and we only had enough cash on us for two drinks . We will go back but will make sure we have more cash on us. read more

Great service. Terrible food! I asked for a slice of pizza and got a frozen disgusting something. Seems clean but very old. I'm sure the locals like that feeling. As I pulled up a ambulance was taking away and elderly man. Mostly all domestic beers available but not as draft. read more

The Stalker Club of Redding (S.C.O.R.) decided to take a trip out of town and visit one of our favorite Bars called Red Rock Bar & Grill located in Palo Cedro. Again the Club was not disappointed since we found a bright new face there named Linda who was the definition of a Bartender. Linda treated us well and we all had a good time which is what going out is all about. Beer prices were good and we even left before Happy Hour started at 4PM. If you want an enjoyable Bar with great room and a great Bartender go out to Red Rock and see Linda. You won't be disappointed. What a cool place to hang out at great beer and an amazing staff. and though they may not have a huge menu everything they cook tastes great. Also if you haven't had the chance to meet the owner I recommend it she is the coolest lady ever. read more
