I had a very concerning experience with one of your shuttle drivers the 0800 timeframe. First, two of your vans were parked in a manner that made it difficult for other vehicles to access the East Mesa Trailhead parking area, laughing thinking it was so funny. Later, I encountered one of the previously mentioned shuttles with Utah license plate T32 1ZD driving aggressively. The driver came up behind me at a high rate of speed and began tailgating me. Unfortunately, the same shuttle continued following me toward Zion National Park. When it was safe to do so, I pulled over and allowed the shuttle to pass. The driver then accelerated away well above what I would consider a safe speed for the area and tailgated other vehicle. Speed limits exist for a reason, especially in and around a national park where there are winding roads, pedestrians, bicyclists, and wildlife. Driving 10+ mph over the speed limit and tailgating other vehicles creates an unnecessary safety risk for everyone on the road. I hope management addresses this behavior and reinforces safe driving practices with its drivers. read more

Our trip to Chamberlain ranch had some complications due to flash flooding in the narrows, but Jill was able to help us out and get us on a later shuttle. With the last minute weather and permit issues our trip could've easily been cancelled but the people at Red Rock Shuttle were very helpful and made everything very easy. We had a horrible experience with Red Rock Shuttle Tours. The driver (Tory) will go down in history as the most vile curmudgeon I have ever met. He was so rude and unprofessional. Cursing us out and telling us that we shouldn't attempt the narrows top down hike and that we would get lost because we were 5 minutes late to meet the shuttle. You would think for $60 a person you wouldn't be treated like dirt right? Wrong. You may also think that for $60 pp you would be in a nice passenger van. I would call the cops if this smelly piece of trash 1980's white van was parked in front of my house. It almost fell apart on the dirt road. On top of everything, the driver was driving in a completely unsafe manner, almost driving other cars off the road and four wheel sliding across the dirt roads. AVOID! There are many other shuttle companies at a comparable price. Save yourself the misery of dealing with driver Tory, the most nasty old man I have had the misfortune of interacting with. read more

We booked Red Rock Shuttle for a Subway drop off. The day before the trip, we get a call confirming our trip, and then an hour later saying that since we paid for only 3 people, we would have to pay an extra "empty seat" to make the minimum "4 person" trip. We were told that another group on our early morning shuttle switched shuttles, so we were now being penalized for this-- either pay for the 4th seat or have or trip cancelled. We traveled all the way from Florida to do this Hike, only to be shaken down by this company less than a 24 hours before the trip over a few bucks. Very disappointed in this company, and suffice to say, I refused to pay the extra fee and cancelled our trip. Many other options and I am upset with myself for using this company. read more

Zero regard for rider safety and false advertising. We were lied to when purchasing tickets: we called ahead and specifically asked if masks were required and told "yes". Not only were half the riders on our trip not wearing masks, the DRIVER was also not wearing a mask. I had to ask multiple times to get driver to roll down windows. Booked the night before our Zion trip because the Zion Shuttle got sold out. We didn't have problems with schedule even though is was a holiday weekend. Our shuttle left on time at 9:30AM. Our driver, Aaron, was very informative about the history of Zion, kinda like a tour guide (The Zion shuttle drivers do not provide you with information about the park, they just drive you to your destination). In the afternoon, they was quite a wait since a lot of people have finished their tour are are all going back at the same time. We waited 20 mins but it was understandable. This is a good alternative to the official Zion shuttle in case it gets sold out, since it is easy to book. read more

They get two stars because their drivers are very nice and this is the only option for you when the park's shuttles are fully booked up. However I took off 3 stars because for $40 per person, they don't take you from stop to stop within the park. Instead, they have to take you back to the meeting point at Zion Outfitters outside of the park. Then from there, you can take the next shuttle to the other stops (you have to show your park pass at the gate each time). Then you repeat this process everytime you want to get to a different stop. For the price I paid (3900% increase from the park's shuttle fee of $1 per person, this is utterly ridiculous and inefficient. Also, we waited for 50 min at one of the stops to catch their shuttle back. Regarding Covid, the sign in the shuttle says face coverings required but there were people in every shuttle without masks and people are packed in the vehicle with every seat taken. Honestly, if this is your only option, either reschedule your trip until you can take the park's shuttle or just don't go. I'm not sure if the other "private vehicle" companies are any better. Funny how you think you're getting better service with a "private, air-conditioned vehicle" but at the end of the day, you're getting ripped off and screwed over like you can't even imagine. read more

We booked a shuttle to do the narrows. Our experience with the booker was excellent. We were so excited to have a ride on such a busy weekend. We had to reserve a time and masks are mandatory in a town that has worked hard to reopen. I work in Healthcare and try to enjoy life as much as I can while also making good choices for my own health as well as that of my patients. I was shocked. Literally shocked to see that the park shuttles are filled to 50% capacity yet Red Rock shoe horned us in a 14 passenger van with 14 people. No windows. I had to ask to turn on the air. On the way back it was even worse. 15 people were shoved into our 14 passenger van and 2 passengers weren't wearing masks. In fact one was complaining about how he is forced to wear a mask everywhere in CA and came to Zion to escape?? No attempts were made to protect the company. So now our decision was to walk back 8 miles or risk the shuttle ride. There is no excuse for a situation like this. I attempted to contact the company 4 days ago to tell them how I felt. No response. So now I'll leave my review. At $30 per person they are making over 20k a day in shuttle rides to put us at risk. Do not go with this company. read more

First timer here in Zion this weekend & I had no clue about the shuttle passes. So sadly we didn't get to get any before our trip here. Got here and was devastated when I realized we might not be able to make certain hikes. Then I read about these shuttles that you can purchase and jumped on them. I think the price is fair and you get the shuttle access like the Zion shuttle buses. They drop you off a location and pick you up whenever you want, obviously before 6 which I think is the cut off time. I was super happy with the services, I never waited too long for a shuttle to come by either. Would def use again!! Very helpful for those who aren't able to purchase shuttle tickets with Zion park. read more

Traveling out of state there are a lot of variables that come into play. Those variables left me unable to do a hike that required a shuttle. There is a 48 hour cancellation. As soon as I realized I would not require the shuttle I emailed the night before and called with no answers. I travel often and even with policies in place have encountered companies with better customer service and compassion. Even with taking other groups chose to keep my money. It was a choice. Just a robotic we have a 48 hour policy was the response I got. If you feel that anything may come in between you and making the shuttle maybe look into other options that are more flexible even if you have to pay a little more. read more

Red Rock Shuttle is incredible. I booked a ride to the Kolob Canyon Visitor Center to complete the Zion Traverse in mid-July. 36 hours before my scheduled trip, they allowed me to move my shuttle from 9am to 6am. After consulting with the Zion Wilderness office less than 24 hours before departure, I had to cancel my trek and shuttle due to a wildfire near the Wildcat Canyon Trail and a heat advisory due to two 110 degree days at the start of the trip. Red Rock Shuttle was completely understanding and gave me a full refund. When I come back to compete this trek in the Spring of 2023, this is the shuttle service I will trust. Oh, and this is not to mention everyone I spoke with was friendly and kind and accommodating. 5 GIANT STARS! read more

I cannot recommend this shuttle company. We too had the same experience as some of the other reviewers that while the signs were clearly posted the drivers, who were wearing their masks, did not require other passengers to wear theirs. Not only that, our first driver began the ride with "there are two ways to die in Zion National Park and both involve water" and then both the driver going and the driver coming back entered into political conversations with some of the passengers about how Covid is a hoax that the Democrats invented to hurt Trump and the government is just using it to make money and how bad Biden is etc. Very uncomfortable. I wish I had looked at yelp before we booked but seeing the reviews now I can see that we were not the only ones who had a negative experience. This shuttle company is absolutely terrible; the shuttle is intended to run every 30 min but unfortunately we watched 2 shuttle cars pass my group of 4 by at one of its stops. We waited for over an hour at said stop and by then it was past 5 pm and we had the take the park's main shuttle to ensure we wouldn't be stranded at Zion lodge, which we were only able to do since I had purchased tickets for the park's shuttle the previous day. The emergency reception hotline they give for the shuttle also was not answered which is unfortunate. Do not take the risk with this shuttle company since the park rangers are very unwilling the let non-ticket holders take the main shuttle, it was only by pure luck we were able to take the main park shuttle. read more

Discovering this company completely changed my friend and I's trip for the better, by about 200%. Turns out, the park doesn't offer a complete picture of the alternate options of shuttles running literally just outside of it that offer much more flexible shuttle options rather than the $1 ticket the park offers. Had we not discovered Red Rock (by simply walking up to it on our way to check out the outfitters), my friend and I would've completely missed our opportunity to take advantage of multiple hikes in one day while still being able to return to our campsite in the middle of the day. On top of that, the staff was incredibly kind. Tom and Aaron, two of our drivers during our visit, were not only informative and genuinely excited to share knowledge of the park with us, but also kind, down to earth, and great to talk with. Absolute gems of human beings. While our experience at the park was wonderful overall, there was quite a contrast in the attitude the employees of this company versus those in the park - rangers in the park came across cold and annoyed with our questions, while the employees of Red Rock were patient and willing to help us with all of our needs. I believe if the park's communication and protocols were more clear, perhaps the rangers wouldn't be fielding the same questions over, and over, and over again, thus getting annoyed with us asking. I am incredibly grateful to have found the folks of Red Rock, and recommend them hands down for shuttling through Zion - worth every penny! read more

Do not waste your $. It started good got our ride for 4People for $30. Each (not cheap) but said they would pick you up at different stops throughout the park and take you back to the starting point. We waited at the Grotto a designated stop for over 1 hour. Was not a good sign when other people were waiting even longer. No Red Rock shuttle even pulled in to the pick up spot. We could see them driving by both directions. We went to the road trying to flag them down to help but no stopping! The only way we got down was begging the ranger to let us ride the Zion shuttle even though we didn't have tickets, they are limited because of coronavirus. We have no idea how much longer it would have been. Total wait 1 hour 20 minutes. Do not book with them other shuttles were coming to pick up their people Zion Guru would be a better choice!!! read more

Good ride and driver but we ended up leaving our tent poles in the car. (surprising that the driver did not check the car before leaving) We called them and they were wildly unhelpful. Last Friday May 19th my family and I were in the area visiting Zion. As we were driving into La Verkin our rental van overheated and completely shut off. We were able to get it into a gas station parking lot before it completely stopped. The rental car company was hours away and wouldn't be able to bring us a new van until 10 or 11 at night. We had our children with us and knew we couldn't make them sit in the parking lot for 7 hours. There wasn't anyone on Uber with a vehicle big enough for us all so we were running out of options. I found this company online and gave them a call. The woman who answered called one of the drivers and he (Scott) was literally parked in the same gas station parking lot that we were in. He had a big van and was able to drive us all to our hotel/condo. He was really kind. I'm so grateful they were able to help us out last minutes. They were the miracle we needed. read more

He was a safe driver, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was also interested in finding out about us during the trip. He showed up on time for the trip out, then we did the (bottom-up) hike to the Subway and back, then he showed up early in the afternoon for our trip back to Springdale. Great service. I see them mentioned in other Yelp reviews, but needed to create one for this business itself. They can be a little harder to find on Google, but were top notch in my experience. Important points: 1. They let us book the shuttle just the day before our hike (Top Down Subway in Zion). Given the erratic weather of November in this area, I wasn't sure until last minute that we'd still want to do the trip. Many companies require booking much further in advance. 2. The driver actually met us a few minutes early. Nice and professional. Nothing fancy, but we got what we needed: A reliable ride to the top trailhead. 3. Price. I don't think any place around there beats Red Rock's rates. Try 'em out! read more

The Red Rock shuttle in Zion national park provides a terrific service to get you into the park when the public shuttle has been sold out. While the Red Rock shuttle is expensive compared to the public one ($35 to $1), if you have your heart set on entering the park, it saves your vacation. The shuttle picks you up right at bus stop # 1, and they have a desk in front of the Zion Outfitter which rents the waders you'll need to walk up the Narrows. Worked out perfectly. read more

Excellent shuttle service to trail heads around Zion National Park. Used them to get picked up in the valley and dropped of in the north west area of the park (Lee Pass Trailhead) as well as the beginning of the Narrows (to hike top to bottom). Driver was on time, friendly and very educated about the park. I researched shuttle service prices from two other companies in Zion and Red Rock Shuttle was the cheapest. Would definitely use them again and would refer to a friend. read more

We had a great experience with Red Rock Shuttle. They were communicative before our scheduled ride to Lava Point, calling me multiple times the week before to let me know that my party was the only two people booked and we could either pay for the extra 2 seats to meet the 4 person minimum or they would help us find another shuttle company. I opted to stick with our original booking due to other companies' departure times not being as convenient for us. I see a lot of people on here complaining about having to pay extra, but I think it's completely fair that they have a minimum ridership given how long the drives they make are - I don't think it would be worth driving 2+ hours round trip for $100 (the cost for 2 people). The morning of our ride we had some last minute additions who had booked the night before, so we got our extra $100 promptly refunded. Our driver Bill was awesome, he was friendly and told us a lot about the history and geology of the area. He was also accommodating to my caffeine-addled bladder and knew all the places to stop for the bathroom along the way to Lava Point. Would absolutely book with this company again. read more

Friendly drivers, terrible service. We paid $35 per person for this shuttle thinking that it would allow us to get from place to place in a timely manner. We were told that a shuttle would be around to each stop every 30 minutes. We ended up waiting for a shuttle at Zion lodge for over an hour, and at the Narrows trailhead for at least 45 minutes. The people next to us at the Narrows had been waiting for over an hour and a half with no shuttle in sight. Once the driver actually showed up, he informed us that they were swamped with over 125 people that day using the shuttle service, and only 2 shuttles running! $35 per person was a ridiculous price to pay for a "private" shuttle with half a$&ed service. My suggestion for anyone reading this is to rent an e-bike for the day to access the canyon. The price is a little more, but you will be able to access all the trailheads with ease, and come and go when you want to. Wasting $35 (and hours of precious vacation time) on this shuttle service has the potential to ruin your plans for the day! read more

This is my first Yelp review but I loved this company so much that I had to post it somewhere! What a fantastic drive up to the West Rim Trailhead! Bob picked us up from the Zion Visitor Center at 7am (we got there early and he was already waiting for us!) for our trek to backpack the West Rim. It was our first time to Zion and Bob provided us with a wealth of information during our drive to the trailhead. He explained the history of Zion and surroundings (he was a former park ranger) all the way to the best place to grab a burger and avoid the tourist traps. We loved getting to know more about the area through his passion and the drive up was a peaceful and entertaining one. He drove us as far as he could before the ice took over the road. Bob was very detailed in where to hike from there and we had no issue finding the trail. I will 100% use this company again. Easy to schedule. Fun and easy drive up to trailhead. Bob picked us up at the Visitor Center in the park on time and was super friendly! Being a former park ranger, Bob gave us all kinds of wonderful information about lesser known hikes as well as information about the park itself. We would definitely hire this company again for future trips and request Bob as our driver! I'm sure the company has hired other fabulous drivers (including the gentleman who was waiting to pick up a different group but chatted us up and let us know Bob was on his way) but it would feel like seeing an old friend to have Bob take us on our next adventure!
