VERY icy this time of year. Otherwise, a good area. Lots of dogs off leash. That's definitely something to think about if you have small children or pets that are not friendly. All in all, 4/5. I would definitely do it again.

I'm so surprised that this park doesn't have more reviews. It's beautiful! I came here in the fall and walking the trails with all the leaves falling or already on the ground was very nice. Its perfect for the family and is dog friendly (please leash them). There's nice views and its an easy short hike. Would recommend :-)

Short brisk walk around a wonderful part of Vermont! It's not really a hike, but it's a leisurely walk that takes you through some parts of the woods and by the lake. If you go on the right days at the right times (early morning or closer to sunset), the views are absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking! A highly recommend stroll for anyone that has 30 minutes to an hour of their day they need to kill. I can only imagine what this place would look like in the peak of the fall semester when the leaves are all changing colors or beginning of winter when the snow has just fallen. I can't wait to keep this place bookmarked and a secret for when I go back next year! Great place to walk your dog, saw a lot of families here as well, and a nice escape from the monotony of life.

Enjoy this little gem of a park!

These well maintained trails wander all through the woods, with viewing points and benches that overlook Lake Champlain. The trails are not marked but, if you don't fret it and don't sweat it, you'll find your way back to the beginning. Enjoy the smell of cedar trees, the views on to the lake, the colors of the red/pink/flesh-toned rocks, the shade, and the exercise so close to Burlington.

Worth a visit and a hike. Spend 2 hours and start with the lakeside hike. Decent shade but can have a lot of bugs

On lovely Lake Champlain, the park possesses northeastern prettiness that could be offensive to haters. Sailboats. Bike paths. Attractive people pretending not to notice sunsets. And, there is always... A jogger. Someone reading poetry or prose. A couple sharing a blanket in a way that says they likely use summering as a verb. Burlington occasionally leans performative crunchy. Waterfront Park itself remains kinda immune to that. Open. Calm. Genuinely beautiful. It is the kind of place you might hear conversations about niche wine bars or an old-money family friend's lake house where everyone wears cashmere beside open water. Go around sunset. Bring something overpriced in a tote. Stare at the water as though you have inherited generational property disputes in coastal Maine. Perfect evening, darliiiiiiiiing.

Great for getting a bit of exercise. There's lots to do around here as far as entertainment such as the ECHO Leahy Center, along with bars, restaurants, and stuff. Big park along the lake is a great way to describe it. It's conveniently located close to the Amtrak station. This is also close to the ECHO Leahy Center science museum, so it's close to lots of things. Has a lot of great views of the water and everything. Lots of room for dogs to run around and whatever. A bike path goes through it. This makes a great ride for those wanting to get some views. A few benches for those needing a breather. There's an ice cream place that's open in summer. Of course it's by the lake. There's not a beach but you can walk along it though. Has a lot of great things in and around it. It's a pretty big park and it's not crowded usually. There's lots of rooms for biking, walking, and whatever.

I love the ratio of equipment for the age of my kids--plenty of baby/toddler swings and slides. Also little rocking ride on equipment. The only thing that could make it a little better for us would be a swing for special needs kids as my older daughter can't sit safely in a regular swing due to her needs. But we make do with what is there very nicely :) The grounds are super well kept and part of a larger park which includes a baseball and soccer (I think) field. I am kind of obsessed with the beautiful flower garden that they have in the parking lot. I would love to be able to steal their gardener for a day to help me make something similar. There is a pool as well with a waterslide. We've never actually used the pool but it very popular and always crowded. There is also a skate park for older kids which is really cool. At least it looks cool--I don't know the first think about skateboarding. I am always impressed by how respectful the skaters seem to be about safety rules. It looks like a lot of fun. Anyhow, this is a really nice park with great shade on hot days. There are always lots of super friendly people there to chat with as well.

I remember coming here after school with a few hours to waste, would buy snacks on the way and just lazy around enjoying the sunshine. What a life, it really just makes me so happy.
