Picked up some smoked fish (they have cold smoked salmon, salmon belly, trout and more!), sausages, honey and lots of baked treats on their deli counter.. we picked up some cream filled walnut shaped cookies called Oreshki and a slab of their Russian Napolean cake! We settled on the Halloween one, because my kid loves all things Halloween; for $15 it did feel a little overpriced but I don't know where they get all their stuff from and cost of everything has gone up so maybe I'm a bit biased. Coolers and coolers full of unique soda's. We picked 2 up and their flavors were definitely on par with a craft soda. I even saw Bob Ross on one can. Along with a Duff can! My friend recommended the Sailor Moon ones too and said the one she got was pretty tasty! They also have a little selection of baked goods and variety on things like matcha teas or corn tea. It's given me a lot of ideas for making ramens and hot pots with their heat & eat add-ons in the freezer section. Some fruit produce can also be bought in boxed bulk like apples or jeju oranges... honestly not a bad price for the size & quality of what you're getting. We find products here that are usually hard to find somewhere else. The staff have been very friendly and helpful and when you have a question, they won't leave you till you find what you needed even if you ask them store manager. I love their butchery department and bakery the best. They always have fresh and high quality products that you can smell it from the opposite side of the store. Overall I have been always enjoying my shopping experience there and I highly recommend them! :)

They don't carry a lot of the President's Choice Brand items (although they do have the PC Decadent Cookies which are amazing), but they have a lot of No Name, and No Frills brand. Sometimes stock can get pretty picked over, especially if there's a sale or during the after office hours (3pm to 6pm-ish), but if get here during the week on a morning the stock is usually pretty decent. Sometimes the produce can be a little ifffy, but maybe it's just that time of year right now where produce is kinda crappy no matter where you go. Today I went to No Frills for their dollar days sale and I picked two boxes of Chapman's ice cream sandwiches (4 per box) for $1 each, and two 500ml containers of Chapman's ice cream for $1 each. Did I need the ice cream or ice cream sandwiches? Yes. Yes I did. You can't go wrong with ice cream at that price. Most of Leduc's grocery stores are on 50th Street north of 50 Avenue (Sobey's, Safeway), or are west in the very busy Leduc Common shopping area (Walmart, Bulk Barn), so it's nice to go to Extra Foods where the traffic is a little less busy. While it's not inside the store there is a small Liquor Store right next to the No Frill's.

There's a lot of parking and the carts did not require coins (quarters) to use. COViD protocols are followed here and there was a person there to wipe down my cart before using. I wasn't sure what to expect cuz google reviews referred to it as a desi store, and their store opening neighbourhood mail out noted it was a south Asian grocer. I was pleasantly surprised that there's a ton of variety here catering to all sorts of Asian groceries as well as western groceries. The building is brightly lit and the produce is plentiful, fresh, lots of different kinds (including Asian veggies) and affordable (I saw no bruising or wilting on the fruits and veggies either). I'd say a large majority of the store caters to East Indians which suits the demographic here, but there was also lots of foods that specifically target Filipino, Korean, Chinese, etc. that would usually be found by going to multiple specialty shops...I'm glad it's like a one stop shop! There were a lot of discounted goods too and some even have stickers with additional savings at checkout; $5 fully decorated fudge cake?... Um yes please!! Honestly, I walked in for fruit and came out an hour later like a bandit! There's even some interesting flavours like fruit HP sauce, or masala smoked chicken deli meat. I am also impressed they sell a good variety of meat skewers and halal meat. They also sell reusable grocery bags if you forget your own, or you can ask for a box which is free. You can also opt to donate $10 for a mystery grocery food bag to be donated to the less fortunate fortunate. I'm pretty pumped that this place is so close to home, it might even become my new regular grocery store since there's so many new things I want to come back to try and add to the weekly family meal plan.
