Extremely disappointed with the service. I was charged $150 for a technician to come out, put one bag of my own shock in the pool, and brush it--something I had already done that morning. The water was clear when I left, so I'm not sure why it was treated as if it were green or in need of emergency care. Worse, I initially asked for the pool to be cleaned, not for someone to "inspect" the equipment. That part was never discussed. The technician failed to identify the actual issue--one of the vents was closed--which I figured out myself later. That's a basic check that should've taken seconds. I can't imagine anyone thinking this service was worth $150. I've been trying to get in touch with a manager for over three weeks. I've been told repeatedly that someone would get back to me, but no one ever has. Totally unprofessional, poor communication, and not at all aligned with what I asked for. We had our concrete pool refinished in April 2021. This included new coping and tile work around the pool and the spillover spa. At the same time we also had them replace the pump. A year later we had them replace the DE filter with a cartridge filter. The pump, which they had installed, was too strong for the cartridge filter that they put in, and it kept destroying the cartridges. It took two visits from technicians before they realized what the issue was and the solution was to set the pump parameters to not go above 2800 RPM. So, they sold me a filter system that was too small for the pump that they had previously sold me. In 2024 we started noticing a lot of patches of blue showing through the plaster finish of the pool. I was constantly having to clean the cartridges of the filter system, about every two days, which were caked up with a bluish green powder. When we contacted Red Rose, they pointed out that the warranty had expired. The same summer we started having tiles fall off of our spillover spa. I understand that these items were out of warranty, however, one would expect that they would last more than 3 years considering the $24,450 we spent to have the pool refinished. I find this unacceptable and highly finding a different company to install or refinish your concrete pool. The company owner (Paul) commented that they addressed the issue with the filter and removed the gang valve. However, this is only half the story. The fact remains, they sold me a filter that was half the size it should be based on the size of the pump (3 hp). Since they installed a filter that is too small for the pump, it was continuously destroying the filter cartridges. They sent a technician out who finally realized the issue and adjusted the max rpms of the pump so it would no longer damage the filter cartridges. What have I figured out on my own since then is that the pump was 3 hp because of the plumbing involved with the pool. We have a spill over spa as well as a deep end intake and return and a skimmer at the far end of the pool. Because of the limits the technician put on the pump, it is no longer able to properly pull the water from the deep end intake and far skimmer, and does not supply adequate suction to properly vacuum the pool. read more

Our liner replacement has been scheduled for 3 months for today. After 9AM I called to see where the crew was at. Michelle informed me that the install had been moved to Friday. Don't you think it was incumbent on them to call us to let us know. Their agreement said they would call by 2 the day before. We never got that call either. I will hold off on my final judgement of Red Rose until the job is completed. I hope the installation is better than their service leading up to this point. Company will do unapproved work and charge you a lot without first communicating the work or costs. They are suppose to leave notes of work completed but do not unless you call them. Pool reading has never been good. I end up doing the work myself. They left me a $480 container of powdered chemicals that I don't use. I only use liquid chlorine in the pool. They also rarely pick up phone and do not return calls. Do not get into a contract with this company as once you do they will not communicate once signed. I feel it's way too much for the service I'm receiving. ive been trying to leave on good terms stating I have found another company offering more services at a lower rate, not complaining just being frugal! I've sent 3 emails and have called with no answer back to cancel their services. 5 days now still no response. Be careful when signing up for one of their monthly packages, they won't call back if you want to cancel. so I reported my credit card lost so they can't charge any more. A pain but at least I have peace of mind not getting charged any further. read more
