Four stars for a good pho place in a city not known for their Vietnamese cuisine. I came here after a series of delayed flights while coming to Tally for business. Thankfully this restaurant was close to there airport. Was greeted immediately by a gentleman at the register and placed an order for a P2 large - it was $12. A bit more expensive than I am used to but, there's not much competition in the area. It came quickly and was nice and hot. The broth was a bit oilier than I am used to, but overall a good balanced flavor. Will probably try the seafood they offer next time if I am in the area.

The food was well seasoned and freshly cooked! The staff were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was clean. I highly recommend stopping by to try. Delicious seafood for a reasonable price!

Interesting concept here....seafood and Vietnamese food..... FOOD: I have been looking for some authentic Pho in Tallahassee. After two "not so authentic" experiences, I gave this place a try and I was impressed. I got the House Pho which is one of the most popular sellers. The flavor was great. It tasted very fresh...almost like it was cooked for hours....that's how well the flavor set in. The portion size was great as well and the price point was appropriate. Next time, I will be trying the seafood to add to my review. ATMOSPHERE: Small, quaint and casual. There are about 10 small tables available if you wish to dine in and there is a TV as well. LOCATION: Ample parking. Parking lot PROs- Food quality CONs- None TIP- Look through the photos for an updated picture as the menu link on Yelp is incorrect.

House Pho, egg rolls and Thai tea. Let's give this a try!

I have been nauseous for days and wanted something light, but filling. My stomach was NOT going to bed hungry, again. I was anxious, but tried the House Special, egg rolls--I had too, and Thai tea. It was EVERYTHING I needed. The broth was flavorful, once everything was added in it was hearty enough to fill me up, but still light enough for me enjoy and not mess with my stomach. And of course, once hoisin, always hoisin. I'm happy we have this delicious gem . It's been a hard week of no food. I can eat again. :)! Probably going back tomorrow.

I found this biz on Yelp and decided to check it out based on its high rating. It's a small place in a small strip center, but the inside is very clean and inviting. The owner works the front counter and he is very friendly and personable. The restaurant is an interesting concept, being part southern seafood, part Vietnamese food. I have to say I found the food disappointing. I had the fried grouper which tasted very fishy, so I'm guessing it wasn't very fresh. My husband had the fried snapper which definitely tasted better, but he didn't care for the cornmeal breading. Both came with fries and hushpuppies which were decent. We ordered a side of cheese grits and regretted it the moment they were brought to our table. They were a bit soupy and had a disturbing neon yellow color. I didn't bother having more than one bite because they were the worst grits I've ever eaten. They had a very cheap, artificial taste. We also ordered a side of okra which was very good. Originally, I wanted to eat here to try their Pho... should have stuck with that plan. All of the pho coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing! Next time I am in Tallahassee that's what I plan to do and hopefully I will be able to update with a more positive review.

I've never seen Vietnamese iced coffee like this!! Didn't notice until I got back to my apartment

Wanted to try this place out because I've been looking for Vietnamese and this has good reviews. Drove 15 minutes to see that they have drastically reduced their menu. Staff was friendly, but as far as Vietnamese food, this place isn't it. No rice dishes on the menu at all now and their Vietnamese iced coffee was disgusting. I specifically wanted Vietnamese iced coffee because it's strong. What I got was over-creamed coffee.

Since my first visit back in 2015, Red Snapper has become my favorite TLH destination for Pho, Bo Kho, Bun Bo Hue and Bahn Mi. There are plenty of killer vermicelli- and rice-based dishes as well. There's nothing on the menu that hasn't been good. The gentleman behind the counter is always courteous and accommodating - and knows the menu well when recommendations are needed. Looking for crawfish? - Red Snapper's been serving them up Viet-Cajun style for years now. Spartan interior with both tables and booths. Worth the drive. There are only five places in town where you'll score the soups I mention in the first sentence. Red Snapper serves 'em up nicely.

Found this place on Yelp. So who does not love a place where you can have pho and seafood at the same time. The place is small. We almost did not find it, because the dumb GPS kept us driving around the area of Publix. So back to the pho and seafood. My husband and I could not decide on which to have, so we decided to do both. Shrimp with french fries, cheesy grits (Love grits), pho and Bun Tom. Everything was very good. Staff/owner is very friendly. Definitely a place I would come back to.

Our first time here and we will most definitely be back. Everything was so good the seafood pho, spicy beef noodle soup, the egg rolls were amazing!!!!!!! My lil one got the chicken fingers and they were great a large serving size, they were tender & juicy lol and the fries rocked. Ordered a to go of catfish & shrimp again the portions are large and definitely worth the money. The service was great, he was super friendly & polite. Everything was just great. So far my FAVVVVVVV they will get to know us well!!! *******update Still like this place but the pho has been a little inconsistent great to oily and the other day just off all together.

I live pretty far from this place but was introduced to it from a friend. That being said I'd definitely make the trip to visit it again and try other things from their huge menu. It's basically two restaurants in one, casual seafood and Vietnamese cuisine all in one place. I ordered the rare beef pho and vermacelli grilled pork bowl. The broth for the pho was rich and I could tell they used all the right spices like star anise and corriander. The vermacelli bowl was huge and had a generous amount of noodles and grilled marinated pork. The fried roll was crispy and had lots of filling in it. I also ordered the bahn Mi (Vietnamese sub) to go and my husband ate two of them back to back so I'd say it was a win. I kept looking at the seafood platters the other customers were ordering and I decided then that I needed to come back and mix it up next time.

Donkey on crack is amazing and rich, good for sharing. We finished with a yummy bread pudding and excellent key lime pie, the crust and bite were perfection. We shared their mixed nigiri and sashimi dish with rice, which was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. We also tried a breaded white fish entrée served over a bed of asparagus, and it was excellent -- crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Nicole enjoyed a local IPA, and we kept the rounds of water flowing. The restaurant is a few blocks from the Capital on the subdivision of an office park. It's very nice inside. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service made the experience even better. Chuck's Fish is absolutely worth a stop if you're looking for great seafood and warm hospitality.

I was DISAPPOINTED. Just DISAPPOINTED. The food was NOT good and definitely NOT New Orleans. The food was downright horrible. Despite the inside appearance, the tacky décor and signs plastered all over the place, I really wanted to like this place, and it breaks my heart to have to write this review. I ordered two dinners. The 10-piece catfish strips with fries and and the 6-piece shrimp with hushpuppies at a total cost of $16.66. It took about 15 - 20 minutes to get my order. Everything tasted like it was fried in cooking oil that was beyond its life and needed to be changed. The catfish strips were small, overcooked, dark in color, dry, and had the flavor of burnt oil / grease. The shrimps were small, overcooked, dry, and tasted like it was cooked in burnt oil / grease. The fries were soggy and just like the fish and shrimp had a burnt taste to them. The hushpuppies were the only thing that was eatable and had great flavor. I only ate 2 pieces of the horrible catfish strips, 3 small shrimps, and a couple of the hushpuppies because that's all my stomach could only tolerate. New Orleans Seafood was a total let down. This may be a locally owned and operated small business, but my goodness, have some standards when it comes to restaurant appearance and food quality.

He finger poked thaat iPad so much that I felt sorry for it. he did complain constantly, but said the food would be out shortly. I asked him about the size of the said they were all sizes and I said OK. He did end up charging extra for a larger one which I did not ask for and he did not let me know . He completely forgot my sister's shrimp Poboy? the gumbo was so salty none of us could eat it. The mullet and catfish were so overcooked and cornmealed that they tasted the same and were both so overcooked there was little meat left to eat. The red beans and rice were OK nothing fancy hard to screw that up. The gumbo might have tasted good except for being so salty it was inedible. Two other people came in, ordered and ate before our take out order was ready. The server was so unkind to us, complained so much about us just being there and wanting food that I believe he sabotage our food to pay us back. I can't imagine anyone being happy with the quality of food that we ended up taking back to the hospital with us. We were there with our sister whose son was in Neuro ICU. We have to go back to Tallahassee from Orlando to continue the vigil over my sister's son. I would eat at Popeyes fried chicken before I would go back to this place. oh! I almost forgot. He overcharged me for the mullet sandwich. I would post a picture of the receipt, but I don't think this review allows it.
