The response that I finally received yesterday to a review left almost TWO months ago lacked accountability, appreciation, maturity & tact. They don't care about their customer experience. Notice they didn't rebuke anything written in the first review. But you took MY money?! So, thank you Pho Me for proving yourself to me & others just how NASTY & RUDE you truly are! 2.12.26 - 7.24pm - It is disheartening that I've finally chosen to leave this type of review for this place after TWO YEARS of being a customer! However, tonight's interaction with the lady who answered the phone was enough for me to finally decide that they would no longer get my money. The 4 foot tall sister of the duo who owns this place is ALWAYS nasty, rude, agitated, snarky, impatient and a host of other adjectives. And if her daughter is there she really has bad interactions with customers. She acts like she hates being at the restaurant; I'm not understanding why she is consistently put at the front of the house when they know that she's bad for business! She answered the phone to take my order. I wanted the traditional bo hue. Normally, (even when she has answered in the past) I have to specify which protein to put in a traditional bo hue. I know Vietnamese cuisine enough to know about what is traditional or not. So because my traditional bo hue has been mistakenly made with rare beef or flank in the past I asked (like I normally do) whether rib meat would be in it. She nastily said, "I don't know the type of meat tonight but if you asked for traditional, then rib meat will be in it." Huh ?! Now, I could have simply said ok. Rather what immediately threw me was her sarcastic tone and saying that she didn't know what type tonight but.... What?! Also, I live too far away for me to go home with the wrong soup; although it has happened in the past. So she just proved herself to be nasty and a liar; she also proved herself to be lazy. Why can't you put me on hold and check what is available tonight? Again, some days and hours they will accept an order for traditional and still not have or not include the rib meat. They are known to be inconsistent with ingredients on occasion. So, I just wanted to be sure. There have been times where this same 4 foot tall sister of the duo will say that it was the person who answered the phone as the reason my order was made wrong. I let her know that her behavior was extreme tonight. She said, "I'm sorry"; yet continued the same off-putting behavior and tone. So, now she has proven herself condescending, as well. She asked, "do you want to give me your name." I responded with, "well if that's what's needed for me to get my order." She started saying "well if you want to get your order....." I cut her off by reminding her that her customer service was off-putting. There are times when they don't ask for names on call-in orders. I let her take my order and name. And honestly I started towards that place to get the order. However, I reminded myself that my dollar and reviews across all platforms are mighty. I did not show up and I hope that she spent time watching that bowl of bo hue with high hopes that she would talk that way to me and still get my money. I have had extensive conversations with both sisters and the shorter, younger one is always RUDE, NASTY, SARCASTIC, AND IMPATIENT. And always complaining about something or somebody! My value as a 2 year customer just went bust tonight. I guess the option for pick up says you cannot dine in, but it's cut off on the website o there was no way of me seeing that. I love this place and have been coming here since they opened several years ago. I usually get the rare beef pho, though the rice/noodle "salad" is also good as is the meat lover's pho. For sides, I love the summer rolls and spring rolls, though the summer rolls are occasionally soggy/inedible. For desert, the cheesecake spring rolls are amaaazing. I usually call in a to-go order because the interior is kinda bland and the seating not especially comfortable or intimate. How are they doing, from a customer's perspective, during the pandemic shut down? Hours: They're operating their usual 6 days a week. They're doing that split shift schedule a lot of places are doing where they're open for a few hours for lunch and a few hours for dinner. Menu: They're offering their full menu, including beer and Vietnamese drinks. Ease of ordering: Ordering is very convenient. If you're picking up, you can call in your order or submit it via GrubHub. If you want delivery, you need to use GrubHub. The downside of GrubHub is it does not include the full menu. Contactless service: Pho Me shines here. If you order online or over the phone, you can pay with your card and no one is going to ask you to sign a receipt. If you're picking up your order, you can either go inside the restaurant or let them know you're waiting in your car. A masked server will hand you your food. read more

Was recommended this place by one of my Asian friends as a place to get cheap pho, but was a bit disappointed. The atmosphere reminds me of the pho restaurants my Vietnamese parents would always take me to as a kid. I felt as though the soup broth was a bit bland. Also, the peanut sauce for the summer rolls tasted a little too peanut buttery. It wasn't too bad, and I was willing to come back again if I was craving pho. We returned a couple weeks later. They charge an extra 5% "pandemic fee" but don't advertise this anywhere, so I didn't realize this until I looked very closely at the receipt. I had bun bo hue and Trevor tried hu tieu for the first time. The bun bo hue was pretty decent, but Trevor was disappointed by the blandness of the hu tieu. Our portions seemed smaller than I remembered from a couple weeks ago; they didn't even fill up our bowls all the way. Trevor left hungry. Good service, somewhat of a more modern ambience. Having grown up with Vietnamese food, I'm never going to turn it down. But it just wasn't authentic. I got the pho dac biet, my go to for pho. Biggest thing for me was the broth, which had a weak flavor. But the bean sprouts were also messy, and the meatballs were small, thinly cut and tasted wrong. I will offer that I was very excited to try the brown sugar black tea ice cream, but didn't end up having enough room left in my stomach for it. Maybe I'll come back for that - but not for the food. read more

Small and tucked away in a shopping center you might miss this if you did not know better. I had pho before and knew that I needed guidance. The employee that was up front was super helpful and explained each broth and the different ingredients that you could use to build your bowl. I tried the spicy beef broth and it was delicious. Good hole in the wall place off the beaten path. They have a pretty good size menu to choose from. I had roasted chicken Phò and the fresh spring rolls. The Phò was white meat, flavorful, and the perfect size! The spring rolls were huge. Thicker than I usually find at restaurants. A nice surprise. They were the standard pork and shrimp. Very good! Then I noticed that I didn't get beef rather than chicken so she had to take it back. When she came back with the toppings again they were skimpy and that basil leaves were black. If the flavor was extremely dollar of the bra I had to drench it in Zaracho sauce. Atmosphere gets a 1/2 as you might expect in a strip center. We got the sandwich and the soup. Both were warm and described correctly on the menu although my sandwich' s meat was not rare but well done. The French fry's were very good. Great choice for a quick bite to eat. I chose the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup). I had an option of sliced beef stew or brisket. I felt adventurous (plus I like to color "outside" the lines)... so I chose sliced brisket. The food came out pretty fast. I was the only patron in the restaurant (late lunch). The soup was very good. It's not the absolute best I've had (had this dish while stationed in the Far East years ago), but I'd definitely eat it again! The restaurant is spaced/sectioned off for COVID protocols and the staff wear masks. Pho Me also uses Bite Squad and Grubhub for delivery or pickup (at least 4 people came in for to go orders while I was there). In short, I definitely recommend checking this spot out if Vietnamese cuisine is your thing. read more

Goi Cuon was so stale, bland, and old it was like chewing on jerky. Broth was lukewarm and tasted like water with "Meat Flavor Essence". The people who own the place are burnt out and hate being there- you can tell by the decline in quality of food and cleanliness. There were baby roaches crawling along the baseboard. I tried to stomp them but they scurried on to the next table. It's a restaurant- there's food. Where there's food, there's pests. I get it. But, they were youngsters out for a stroll in full light with people around. I don't want to think about their elders in the walls and what they do when the lights are off. Because you know I'm all about that broth, 'Bout that broth...! Ok so I'm visiting Tallahassee and had a hankering for some pho ga. I found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out because it was close to my hotel. I stopped in for a takeout order--they said 10-15 minutes so I sat down to make a phone call. Not even 5 minutes later, my food comes out from the kitchen--with all the trimmings. Super fast service!! I eagerly opened up my broth first, and wow. Hands down, the BEST broth I've ever had! It was flavorful, not greasy, and spiced so brilliantly. The chicken was thinly sliced which I also liked--I've never seen it sliced this thin, but it gives it a delicate feel as your eating it. The goodie tray came with more rice noodles than I can ever eat, fresh herbs (basil and cilantro), jalapeños, sprouts, and a beautiful wedge of lime. Good Pho! The staff there are really nice. It's never very crowded which is great. They do a great job with to-go boxes. A little hard to spot off of Appalachee. The reason I dropped it to four stars was because the meatballs were overcooked this time and I also think they may have changed the way they make them because they weren't as good. Also the tendon doesn't really add much to the pho (I added some just to try this time). Stick with the beef. Otherwise, portion size is still great. Lady you need to pay attention before writing something dumb. 1) I was very specific in saying that I ask for lemon and of course I put lemon in the soup, I also put hot sauce and I try a few of the beans sprouts. 2) The problem was that your soup / Pho did not have any pho flavor it taste like some type of dirty water. 3) Just so you know that I can tell tell a Pho from an imitation, I am a sales person and that means I earn my living traveling from town to town and city to city, like I said before I eat pho 2 - 3 times per week and yours is not authentic it's that simple. Now if you tell me that you're not Vietnamese and tried to replicate the beautiful and magnificent balance of a Vietnamese pho and failed at it I would have more respect for you, but don't write something like if I was trying to cheat you or something, when nobody can do that at your establishment since the customer have to pay ahead of time and let me tell you that if I had not pay ahead of time I would have walked away before even tasting it. My family and I stopped at this restaurant on our way back home to TX. Tried to order fried egg rolls but the employee said they were not available, same with the fresh veggie rolls. So I opted out for the fresh summer rolls which weren't very appetizing and the peanut sauce that accommodated it tasted like it came from a store bought bottle; definitely not homemade and authentic. Next, I noticed that there were only two tables available. Not because the restaurant was busy with people, but instead no employees cared to clean any tables. The 4th customer after me had to move some dirty bowls to the dude and clean his own table. So sad. My wife and kids wanted meatball pho, so when I placed my order; I was told they were all out of meatballs. How does that happen? Meatballs in pho are one of the most popular proteins and should always be stocked in the kitchen! Anyways they settled for chicken. As for me, I ordered beef pho. When our pho bowls came out to our table the broth tasted like plain water. There was no flavor. Next, my kids needed forks to eat their pho. There was a condiment station with utensils and sauces. When I searched for forks they were all out. So the employee went to check the back. When he came out he told me that they haven't washed the forks yet (apparently nothing else either by the looks of the dirty dining tables). So we just asked for plastic forks. We all left in disappointment. Definitely not coming back. Management needs to make huge improvements in the food, inventory, and cleanliness of the place. read more

PHO NO - just ordered the chicken Pho and they are out of bean sprouts. I asked if they could add more noddles and they said NO. I asked for 2 extra hot sauce packets and they charged me $0.75 or each. Recap..... you don't get any bean sprouts for the same price and they want an additional $1.50 for hot sauce. If you eat there you can have all the hot sauce you want - there is a big bottle on the table. At 4:00 pm when you realized you are running low on bean sprouts, before the dinner crowd, go to Publix and buy more bean sprouts. That is the only way you will stay in business..... I love a good banh mi. With a flavorful meat married with delicious pickled carrots and daikon for that fresh crunch and then the cilantro to give it that little something extra. It's enough to make you swoon, this version however did not make me swoon. It made me pause. It made me open it to checked if there were actually veggies inside. The smallest hint of pate was spied and it all ended with a sad bite of not great bread. Sorry but it could have been so much better, I was hoping for something better. Every family has their own top secret recipes. So not all pho taste the same. The broth is #1 thing you know who make a great pho. Just taste the broth first. I tried the meat lovers pho. The broth was not that flavorful but it was just OK. Maybe because it was warm? This was a take out meal. Second I tried the house special salad. The sauce you add is the fish sauce that brings out the flavor. It was not that flavorful. Maybe because they toned down the flavor of the fish sauce for non Asian? It's a turmeric based veggie broth, and anytime I feel a cold coming it helps me feel better. I would have reviewed this place sooner had I been able to be patient enough to get picture of my food before chowing down. Their vegan mi quang never lets me down! I've been going here since they were at the Railroad location. It's a family owned restaurant that really caters to their customers. I've tried all the pho places in Tallahassee and this one is the best! It reminds me of homemade pho my family would make.
