This is a nice antique mall. There does not seem to be a lot of salvaged items as before. The restaurant there has changed hands or it's been reinvented. They are opened at night now & serving alcohol it appears so catering to a younger crowd. I prefer the menu & food from the previous restaurant so I will probably not be back. read more

I love shopping and seeing all the neat items at The Market at Circa. Nice New Owner. This is one of my top go places for gift shopping. I also like to drop in to spend my time EXPLORING and Experiencing all the novel things I see. It's True. What's Old Becomes New Again. Whimsical items. I found a very antique figurine. I realize that it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. There is Dennis Hargroder Art in the upstairs loft area. Y'all can eat downstairs at Yvette Marie's. And the best part, there are all these cute shops right in walking distance. read more

I had been warned that the cafe food was bad but I thought coffee would be safe and the menu said it was only $2.50. Server told me their "specialty coffee" has homemade flavors so I order the pumpkin basil. I watched her pour me a regular coffee, she added some coffee mate pumpkin creamer and topped it with easy whip. Then she looks at me and goes "that will be $10." This place is such a fun hidden gem in Baton Rouge! The employees who work there are SO sweet every time I come in. I got a few prints from local artists my last visit, but every time I go there's something new to see! read more

This place is definitely worth going to at least once! The items are old and the store takes some time to get through if you stop and wonder about the past life of the furniture, signs, jewelry, clothing, and paintings you maze through while here. There is a little coffee shop in here as well and as you sip, you are in a double height room that has a view of a loft area that has been converted into an artist's studio! Very cool. The outside has a fair amount of junk that I'm not sure is for sale, but if you're inclined to upcycle, make, or restore furniture, this is a good little place to check out. Across the parking lot is are two neighboring shops that supports local artisans. I spotted: - Candles - Paintings - Crystals - Air plants - More vintage furniture - Vases Overall, I highly enjoyed visiting and will definitely come back in a couple of months when some of their stock has turned over! read more

This is one of my favorite spots to eat in BR when I just wanna chill and be around a lot of people. Also they have good food. Their sandwiches are very good and sometimes they have this catfish meal that I like. Overall a lot of interesting things to see and some interesting things to eat. read more

A mishmash of architectural pieces, art, (some stuff that's supposed to be art but I don't think so), some really wild metal sculptures, some junk and too damned many cats. It's a maze of rooms with no common theme except most things can go into a house...or outside the house...or in the basement if it was a gift from someone who doesn't visit too much. The girly liked the statues made of welded metal bits and bobs. The little cafe was already closed when we got there so my desperate need for a coffee would have to wait. read more

I've loved it here ever since I was a kid. Such a beautiful place with beautiful buys. It's a little pricey, but I suppose that's because of the rareness and uniqueness of its items. I love that they engage with the local art community. Makes it all the more lively. Not to mention the several cats scattered around the outdoor area! They're easily avoidable and don't go inside, so it wouldn't be a problem to those with allergies. But if you're looking for a bit of furry company, you don't have to look far. This place is a hidden gem in Baton Rouge. You would never guess the variety and quality of the pieces inside from the outside - ranging from high-end antiques, to re-purposed furniture at a reasonable price. For example, we were eyeing a door-turned-dining table there that was approximately $500 and extremely sturdy. Everything there is great quality - they just don't make furniture like they used to. They also have great gift options there - like local candles. Plus, there is an adorable cafe inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful - they even usually do low-cost or free delivery. Definitely recommend if you're looking for unique gifts, furniture, or home decor in Baton Rouge. read more

This is a really cool place to peruse on a lazy day. They have all sorts of antique and repurposed stuff, too much to describe here. I get all sorts of ideas when I go here. None of which will come to fruition, but it is fun. I also like the display of local artists. Nothing I would purchase, but it is like a small free art museum. I saw the ad for this place. As I'm new to the area I decided to try it out. My first sight was several old commodes (toilets). There were a few interesting things but very few antiques. More vintage and flea market finds and second hand or used merchandise. I'll give it another try this weekend as I'm looking for antique doors for a remodel.
