Big store, A LOT to look through but HORRIBLE prices! Most, if not all, thrift stores get the items as donations so they are free yet this store has items priced super high! If it's a new with tags item then understandable but nope... just certain brands they have priced liked you're in the actual brand store shopping full retail. Pre loved leggings for $50! I almost passed out seeing that yesterday! A zip up athletic "jacket" for $75! Sports bra for $25! If prices were adjusted, debit or credit cards were accepted, and hours were really 9pm and not 8:40, it would be a better experience! read more

Love this thrift! I always find great pieces here. It does get super packed & can be a bit pricey - I would always keep an eye out on the discount colors for the day. Staff is always friendly & will always help with what you need. The only thing that can be inconvenient is that they are only cash! Well, is my second time to this one location. It's hard to tell if I recommend it or not. The store is pretty stock up on a lot of stuff, but per se the prices aren't as good as you think for second hand stuff especially the shoes and clothes. Food for thought.. put up a sign that says CASH ONLY at the entrance or at the beginning of the line, especially for new shoppers there! What is the point of having a cash only sign right at the CASHIERS DESK after someone already waited half an hour in line to get there, and impossible to see or notice in the back of line. I tried to give this thrift store a chance today, but unfortunately, the experience was terrible. The store advertises closing at 9:00 PM, yet when I arrived at 8:30, the security guard was already pushing people out. That left me with barely 10 minutes to shop before being told to go to the register already. How can anyone have a good shopping experience if you won't even let customers browse until the actual closing time? And honestly what's the point of saying you close at 9 if you kick people out early just to "restock"? Isn't that something you do after customers leave? Or am I crazy for thinking operating hours should actually mean operating hours? To make things worse, this wasn't my first bad encounter here. The first time I visited, I couldn't even buy the items I wanted because the ATM machine inside had run out of cash, and they wouldn't let me pay otherwise, all those minutes of browsing just to leave the store empty-handed. Between being rushed out early and not being able to complete a purchase before, I'm done. This was my second and last visit. Never again will I be going back to such a poorly run place. read more

As far as I can tell there are only two Red, White and Blue thrift stores in the Northeast - one in Waterbury, Connecticut and this one in Paterson, New Jersey. I've made the journey to both locations multiple times and have yet to leave disappointed. Our latest excursion to the NJ location was no different. Right out of the gate, we got an unexpected bonus when we noticed a man selling tamales out of a cargo van in the parking lot. Now, if there's a better way to start of a thrift shopping sesh than with bootleg van food, I'm not aware of it. So we're obviously in for a treat. Both RWB locations are laid out pretty much the same with a massive selection of shoes up front followed by a housewares treasure trove that consists of what seems a like 50' long aisle strewn haphazardly with pots and dishes and smaller items in plastic bags. However, at the moment I'm pretty well set for nasty old Velcro sneakers and chipped depression glass and Bunnykins so we move to the real draw here - a half-century's worth of the moth-eaten sartorial discards of North Jersey's rustbelt. Now, I'll start by saying this is no suburban Goodwill or Plato's Closet and so if you're looking for nice-smelling North Face fleeces and Khakis, you're gonna be a stranger in a strange land. However, if you've come for corduroy and velvet blazers, bowling-themed garments, double-pocket polos, Western-themed snap-buttons, plaid golf slacks, padded hospital socks, paisley bathrobes, Barry Manilow t-shirts, vomit-hued cardigans or striped banlon, all grimy and caked up with that naphthalene and black mold-ridden thrift store goodness, then you are where you were meant to be. But of course stay outta my way because I'm tryna grab up all that nasty ass crap for myself. This day's haul included some great finds including many unfortunately-patterned sweaters and polos and a camel-hair blazer. But perhaps best of all - a custom T-shirt from a girl named Sophie's quince and the Brodhead Family's family reunion from 2015. However, the Holy Grail of the day's haul was without a doubt, the custom-printed Vince Vaughn collage sweatshirt. Why this should exist and who would have went out of their way to originally acquire it in earnest continues to vex my mind. Who likes Vince Vaughn that much? I mean, don't get me wrong, he's okay. Wedding Crashers and Swingers were decent films. Hell, I'll even watch Fred Claus around Christmas time (if I've exhausted all of the other good Christmas movies). But what could it possibly be about him or his body of work that would compel someone to actually seek out and purchase this garment at what I'd imagine was a pretty steep retail price? And where the hell would you wear it? "You don't need that," sneered my wife when she saw it in the cart, though she must have known that I did in fact need it and there was zero chance I wasn't buying it. read more

This is one of those thrift stores where you need to make sure you don't feel too strongly about anything you want to buy. There's a very good chance they will decide the price is too low at the check out so they can price it higher and tell you to come back the next day. Just stay away and save yourself the aggravation. read more

The best way I can describe this is Chaotic. You have to get there very early to get anything decent and catch the special mark down tags. As the day goes on the high discount tags become an endangered species. They have annoying announcements reminding people to watch their kids and to not talk to the workers, not check the new racks that are out before they get out to stock. It's also Cash Only. Yes there are some good deals and nice finds but the pricing is higher than Goodwill etc because this is a for profit store. It's expected but some of the mark ups are mind boggling. You could buy off EBay or Poshmark for less (even with shipping). Parking is a nightmare and they also don't have enough Handicapped spaces available to use. I'll go if I have to but would rather pass and go thrift elsewhere instead of dealing with this. read more

I'm used to thrift stores not accepting returns, but if there's no way to return or exchange then there should at least be a fitting room. I found this thrift store on tik tok, & it looked large and had good reviews. But honestly I did not like it at all. The prices were not thrift store friendly. For example, clothes were priced from $15-$30 range. Thrift stores are normally priced much cheaper than that. The clothes here weren't even fancy brands. I also felt it was extremely cluttered. I was disappointed to not see any plus size clothing, I only saw up to size XL in both men and women. I tried asking an employee for help to see if they had bigger sized clothing, but the employees only spoke Spanish. I unfortunately would not return here. I really love most things about this thrift store. The employees are incredibly polite and helpful, the store is SUPER clean, the pricing is affordable BUT... there is a group of resellers that stand in the back of the store where they bring out the new merchandise and start pulling stuff off the carts before the workers can even put it on the shelves. They are very aggressive when they're looking through items on the carts and I've seen several of them get into fights about who is getting "better stuff." I understand people do this to make a living but it is frustrating to see the really great stuff get plucked off the carts before it can even be put out on the shelves. Just got home and plugged in the flat iron I purchased. It doesn't turn on- I spent the last 38 minutes trying every socket in my home and looking up a manual to see if I was missing something. Nope, it's just garbage. Store policies say I can't return the USED flat iron I paid almost $15 for, which is absurd. Then what did I buy? The opportunity to MAYBE have a functional flat iron? Also, this place is cash only. It's $3.50 at one ATM and $4.50 at the other to take cash out. The $3.50 one was out so I had to use the other one. Terrible, overpriced thrift store. While this store does have a large selection of used treasures, you have to wrestle your way through the crowds of people. Even when I try and push by saying "excuse me" I'm met with side eye or ignored completely. The staff is rude, and they write on the products with black markers (which is impossible to get off) However, I find myself returning on a monthly basis. I can't pass up the junk! My favorite thrift store of all time. They have a color discount system - you'd be pleasantly surprised once you pick out the best goodies for you. It does get a bit crowded and the parking lot is insane but we'll worth it in my opinion. I go almost every Saturday and never spend less than $60. read more

There are pros and cons to this thrift store. It's big and it's made to look nice by making most displays of clothes and shoes ROYGBIV. So while it looks nice, you have to plan to spend some time doing a deep dive into what you want/need. There are some good labels amongst the clothes, but like with all thrifting, you're gonna have to do some looking. I was really lucky and came on a day where they had just put out some high-end furniture with the tags still on (that is now part of my decor!). The staff was super helpful and the prices are super reasonable. And there's always a deeper discount for certain colored tags....have fun searching! I've been able to find lots of cool stuff at this store, but they definitely have a bait-and-switch mentality here. They always have a certain color price tag advertised as 50% off, yet that color is nowhere to be seen in the entire store. It happens way too frequently to make me think it's just bad luck. They also don't know how to price well as they'll put bags of stuffed animals together for $6.99 and that makes it real frustrating when you just want one of them. Additionally, they looooove to wrap board games and stacks of books together with duct tape winds up completly ripping them to shreds when you try to remove them. And they also love to write the price of everything on the actual product with BLACK MARKER. How can you charge $7.99 for something that you have damaged yourself? Whatever. since they use staples instead of plastic price tag fasteners some of their clothes get damaged. it'll b a garment in perfectly good condition that has a hole on the collar where the stapled price tag was... trying to remove the staples is quite tedious and stressful since it's possible more damage could b caused depending on how carefully you unwire them. i'm all for minimizing use of plastic but this isn't the best move plus, their prices aren't as affordable compared to other thrift stores' items. also they don't accept card- their atm charges a $3.50 fee to withdraw cash read more

Worst thrift store I've ever been to! The stuff is so expensive I can buy same things for the same price NEW in Marshalls (close, shoes, purses, decor items etc.) and will be able to return in case I need to! Plus they ruin merchandise badly with Sharpie markers which you can't get rid off! People, think twice before donating stuff to them, they will ruin it and no one will be able to use it. On top of it all people who work there are so rude and mean, zero customer service! They act like drama queens and can't settle an argument, totally unprofessional. The thrift store itself is great. Large with a lot of variety. Clothes, shoes, purses, furniture, electronics, books, records, cds, dvds, silverware, kitchen stuff, kid stuff, board games, toys (lots of dolls and creepy clowns if that's your thing), jewelry, and much more!! i have been here numerous times and have found a lot of gems. they also have special days where they have discounts on certain color tags. PROBLEMS: what ruins this thrift store is the customers. first of all, if you go during a busy time, the parking situation is a mess. the lot is rather small and gets filled up. DO NOT USE THE LOT. most importantly, do not use the back lot, it is a DEATH TRAP. there is a little single car road to get to the back lot and if you are there during a busy time, you have a mess of cars trying to go in both directions. Avoid at all costs!!! Park on the street, usually there is plenty of parking on both sides of the store, just need to walk a block or so. next and much worse, is the customer situation inside the store. you have narrow clothing isles that are filled with people and shopping carts. it's rare to hear an excuse me....and it just becomes a nightmare to navigate. there have been many times where i just walked out because the stress of the experience became so much to bear that i no longer cared about finding something to buy. now, i have been working full time and have gone mostly on saturdays which may explain the crazy customer situation. if you can go on a weekday afternoon, you may be able to avoid the madness and have a very pleasant shopping experience. I went in there with the intention of thrift shopping because I've heard wonderful things about this place. Being the excited person I am, I went into Red, White and Blue. While in there, I found the prices of certain items way too high, I didn't like that all the sizes were mixed in together, which made it hard for me to find my size and style jeans I liked, and the place is just too big and too crowded for me to handle. I found the jeans I like, and as I go to check out I'm told that it's a cash only shop and that every moment the ATM was down. And nowhere or any where does it say that it's a cash only shop. I wish they could inform customers about this before hand. Please do better. read more

I cannot tell you how bad of an experience I had at this location. Staff was absolutely rude. I have never had someone give me dirty looks the way one of their employees did today. She was constantly repeating herself "you mad? you mad well we closed?" while pushing me and my friend out of the store right before closing. i was so upset. I ended up leaving my cart full of clothing. That's not the way to treat any customer. I work retail. I've done it for 7 years and I know it can be stressful but in no way is it ok to treat anybody like trash. your not on the street. you should no how to act at work. Not to mention the prices are ridiculous. $19.99 for pair of piss stained Adidas track pants. Also be prepare to feel highly uncomfortable. They do not have changing rooms which drives people to completely undress in front of the very few mirrors throughout the aisles. I've gotten to see parts of Grandma I do not want to see. I find the prices way too high! Big problem especially when you are looking at clothing that is used and stained. Also you really need to pay attention to the discount ticket price and anything I liked seemed to be full price. Maybe I am missing something because the parking lot was packed at 10 am on a Thursday morning. They told there is Senior Discount on Wednesday- but I don't really think it is worth it - their prices were much better at the old location!!! read more

I'm a regular shopper here but their habits bug me nearly every time I shop. Specifically, they ruin good stuff with tape and/or Sharpie marking pens ie. right on the wood finish of a chair I bought today. They got the chair in good condition and they intentionally damaged it. It's bullshit. I'm calling bullshit and because of this, I would never donate to them. If they must mark stuff, stuff they get for free, they should engage whatever slight brain power they have and mark things discretely. read more

They are over charging like crazy for most things. $20 for a pair of used pants from 5 years ago when the pants were sold for $20.. $50 for a used coat... I mean, thrift stores are supposed to be reasonably priced. So I was a little disappointed in their pricing. Especially considering they are cash only! So besides the pricing, this place has a decent collection of clothing!
