I want to start by saying I love the staff at this store, they generally do an amazing job at running such a busy store. That aside, the management of this store makes me sick. RWB was bought out by private equity firm Endeavour Capital, folded into the "M & M Thrift" company. My issue with this is, rwb/M&M/Endeavour take our (the people's) wealth (belongings) & just churn it out for as high a price as they can. We get nothing back. This store supports Endeavour Capital and no one else. The prices are absurd. RWB gets everything for "free" (yes, i know, or pennies on the pound), and they price terribly (in general). This store prices everything about double what is should be priced. They do this to support their 'sale model', where every day there are 4 sales at 25%/50%/50%/75%off. So that $9 sweatshirt finally becomes the price it should be when it hits 50%. Their sales are largely illusion, and the items not on sale are unpurchaseable (a tactic so they last to the illusory sale). The amount of business this store does, with the low low low overhead of a building they own (which is falling apart, asbestos), filled with merchandise they get for free and a small number of low paid staff, Endeavour looks at this basically as a mine. RWB takes our wealth and feeds it to private equity, the fucking end. read more

The parking is filled with potholes but also cars so I thought maybe there is some good stuff in there I have visited this store years ago It's still the same as in big filled with lots of stuff Downstairs lots of kids clothes and toys the prices are reasonable but you really have to look to find anything that would be worth buying Squishmallows (don't ask but my grand loves them) 2.99 I didn't have the patience to go through everything on my visit but if you have the time and patience you will find something read more

I heard a lot about this place being some magical awesome place but when I went it seemed pretty average. Yes it's definitely big but I didn't find anything outstanding about it. I'm not a thrifter by nature so maybe there are some real gems that I missed. I did end up buying a colorful pillow cover that went with my decor and a gold and white "K"just because it was there. I think my sticker color got me 25% off so that was nice oh and it's cash only but they do have ATMs read more

This is the store that is closest to me. It is large, often it is in disarray especially the downstairs. The upstairs and downstairs are connected by a very steep ramp, the only way to access the different level. I am paralyzed with a manual wheelchair it is extremely difficult to back up from the bottom. I sometimes have to ask someone to take any items I have up for me because I have to lean forward on my lap to keep the weight on my front casters or I will tip over backwards. Notably I have had bad experiences with one Male worker on several occasions making my visit here less enjoyed each time. This worker closes the downstairs 15 minutes or so before they close by just shutting off the lights and telling people the downstairs is closed! He is rude, recently while the monitor telling you the color codes for discount of the day was down, a paper was posted back by the ATM, I used it for shopping and when I was ready to check out I found a different notice of the color codes for the day, I left all the items as I did not have enough money because they were completely different! I wasted an hour or so of my life. I told the male Cashier who passed by me while I was looking at the one at the counter that it did not match the one posted by the ATM and I just wasted an hour shopping. The Male Cashier responded "Oh Well", he then went back to the cash register without addressing the discrepancy, he is always rude and curt with customers in my opinion. When you are disabled and shop somewhere, especially at a place that is difficult like the Sawmill Run Red White and Blue, it sucks to have even one bad experience with a worker let alone several issues with the same worker. I am complaining to RWB after posting this, this is not my first issue with the store and if I do not complain it will not change. I wish you have a better shopping experience than I do there. read more

This used to be my favorite thrift store. My girls and I would dive the hour and a half to come here on birthdays and girl trips. Now - all clothes are lumped by color. I don't thrift to find a black shirt - I thrift to find the cute options in my size. Please but the plus sizes back in a separate section. The last two trips were a wasted drive. read more

I am so disappointed in the direction this thrift store has gone. 10 ladies I am friends with feel the same. in fact none of us are going back. it is a big total mess. too many clothes/no order size wise and racks are so full you can't even push the items over to look at what interested you because it is so jammed up. Plus sizes are mixed up with the others is the biggest negative change, they used to have them in their own section and that is the biggest reason my friends aren't going there anymore. items are EVERWHERE. Other thrift stores have separation with colors and sizes which is most helpful of all. Oh well there are many other thrift stores around to go to but this used to be our favorite. No more ! they really need to clean it up, have more sales and make it more orderly read more

super annoyed the plus size section keeps coming and going and most recently is GONE. having xl sizes sorted helps both the plus size folks and the straight sizes find clothes more easily. this used ro be my favorite store and I literally spent 99% of my clothes budget there but I can't anymore its the worst. very bummed. read more

This store is huge. Parking can be tricky as it's very busy. They operate on a color discount system-- 3 colors ranging from 25, 50 & 75% off so you can find some great deals if you are looking for those specific discounted colors. Huge array of items to choose from including clothes, home decor, jewelry, bags, purses, small appliances, etc. Easy to spend hours in there. There are a couple of nice ladies that work there but mostly the customer service is terrible and the employees are rude. However, if you can get over that, you can find a lot of gems. read more

The parking lot exit going north is like a minefield and unless you know what you are doing it is just as bad if you are headed south. This is despite the fact that they did some renovations not too long ago. It is actually dangerous to drive and park there. They seem to be better staffed than the 65 store but their prices aren't any friendlier. The Dvd/book/casette and VHS section is a pigsty. Maybe you need some signs asking people to put things back the way they found them but this part of the store is disgraceful. read more

Parking is now difficult because they changed the lot. Item selections are no longer cheap or inexpensive. Consistently any item that is even just the least bit ok is very expensive and not on sale. I have found a lot cheaper and new quality stuff on the clearance racks at other stores, ie: Walmart, Gabe's..I used to love to shop there @ least once a week but now I don't even want to shop there anymore at all because it's so disappointing and a waste of my time! read more

I gave it a one star because you don't have any negative signs in front of the stars. New management has absolutely destroyed ...totally destroyed..,,This business. I have been going to here for over 30 years. have found many items for my wardrobe here. The place was always very organized, sleeveless shirt, short sleeve shirts, middle sleeves, shirts, long sleeve shirts, jerseys, sweaters, everything separated, and an absolutely incredible wonderful bonus ....everything was arranged by color -ROYGBIV. This is my second rating and my last. I attempted to shop here last month and it was not good then... Thought it was just a fluke, but it's even worse now ....there are carts piled up everywhere with things to be put out on shelves ....clothes are on the ground and carts are riding over them. It's dirty and hard to navigate the isles. Almost all the employees who have been there and have taken care of this place so well through the years are gone and have been replaced with clueless non-English speaking employees that are just there, under the radar, earning probably a very very minimum pay. Hey new owners... You're using these young women to get rich cheaply... But I want you to start looking at your bottom line because when I was there on December 1 the place was almost empty ....,all of us women who have relied on this place as an incredible shopping experience have left. I have not been out to the store on Ohio river Boulevard but I am sure it is on its way down the tubes also. Whoever bought and made the decisions as to the downfall this place, congratulations you have been successful... and your bottom line is probably beyond shrinking and you deserve it. I've been shopping at this thrift store for as long as I've lived in Dormont, about ten years. Since 2020, they've made some changes to their practices that, initially, I found understandable. They're putting more product out, but being less discerning about what they put out. They're running more color-tag sales, but also adding colors to the line up. Until recently, all of the changes they've made have kind of come out in the wash, so to speak, and the experience of shopping there was no worse or better. My most recent trip there, which at this point was a few weeks back, I noticed some considerable changes that I truly wasn't a fan of, 1.) They have removed all of the mirrors in the building. The one mirror that was unable to be removed from the wall was intentionally broken and left there, which I found petty AND dangerous. 2.) They seemed to be reorganizing some of their clothing departments. I'm a big girl, so my favorite aspect of this specific store was that they organized their clothing inventory by size, where the majority of thrift stores do not. This was THE store I am normally able to find things I like that actually fit me, so I was both confused and disappointed on my last trip to find their plus size section to have significantly less less items (namely, no skirts or dresses), and that section was full of items, presumably misplaced, ranging from size small to 10. When I first got there, I approached one of the cashier and asked where they might have moved the dresses and skirts to, and was met with "I don't know.". Okay, I know how much these guys get paid (not enough, by the way), that was the level of service I expected. I did a lap, went through the entire plus size section (approximately 1.5 isles), and then asked a second employee if they had moved the plus sized dresses. This woman was, presumably a manager, however she wasn't one that I had ever seen there. She then marched me back to the rack, found a 5x Terra & Skye moomoo, handed it to me, and said "You just have to look." This response was, at best, rude, but I moved past it because, again, I understand that the employees here don't get paid enough and also get put through the ringer on the weekends. While I had the woman's ear, I asked if they were planning on integrating their sizes together. She said yes. I asked if they were taking feedback on the changes they were making, and the woman, at first, seemed very excited to hear it. I raised the concerns I mentioned earlier in my post, and I just felt like it was important that I share her responses. When I mentioned that I thought integrating their sizes would be a bad call, as me and plenty of other plus sized women shopped at this store specifically BECAUSE they organize their inventory by size, she put a hand on my shoulder and told me: "Well, SOME women don't like feeling singled out when they're shopping, so integrating the sizes is a decision we made based on market research." Again, she was very condescending with this response. At this point, another guest chimed in and agreed with me, lamenting that she doesn't have the time to comb through their massive selection in hopes of finding something that fits. At this point, the woman got combative, citing her 20-some years of retail experience as proof of that decision. She continued by saying "We don't even have a petite section for the old ladies". I didn't like this answer, because I don't believe that the fat girls OR the little old ladies have the time to wade through their huge selection looking for something that fits. She then moved on to address the mirrors - at first saying that they had complaints about people changing in the isles. In my opinion, this was the ONLY valid argument she made, and if she had stopped there, I would have excepted it. Instead, she continued to tell me that the store had ALSO had a problem with "perverts watching people while they were changing and taking pictures of their feet in the shoe department." While those things were tangentially related to my comment about the mirrors, both problems would have very easily been avoided with adequate dressing rooms and employees that were paid enough to care about the conduct of their guests. On the off chance anyone from management of this store views these reviews, I'd like to make this very clear: I was disappointed that they were planning on moving around their departments, but the attitude of this manager is what solidified the fact that I won't be going back to this store any time soon. Despite being a FOR PROFIT thrift store chain that gets their inventory almost entirely for free, I could justify paying the above-average prices for the convenience of navigating their items. I cannot, however, justify the prices for the way I was spoken by that manager, and the blatant disregard for their customers. read more

The store is dirty. I don't know if it over. It seems that way none of the workers on the to speak English at all. I seen several used cups just sitting on shelves. Nobody picks them up throws them is carts in the aisles it was a terrible experience for a thrift store and that's pretty bad lol read more

Something happened at this location. It used to be fantastic. A couple months back the shelves are not stocked well, the store is very messy and they went from 6 or more cashiers to 1 or 2 and they seem to be trying to clean the store while helping customers at the same time. The staff says management is terrible, and the store seems to reflect that. They also started keeping furniture outside, so someone donated things to help vets and stuff is getting destroyed outside and inside, from neglect. Tremendous thrift store. It's huge and was being well maintained by the staff regardless of being very crowded. We found more than what we came for which is always a good thing. Sales are based on the day so check out the monitor when you first walk in. The only negatives are the parking lot and the cash only policy. The parking lot is very unenjoyable and stressful to get through. There is a cash only policy but two ATM in the back. read more

I understand these stores were bought out by another company but I'm extremely disappointed of how the stores have become within the last few months. I'm a very frequent customer to both of these stores and BOTH have the same issue. When you go into ANY STORE, there is always a women's section and a ladies section. I refuse to go through racks and racks of clothes and jeans to only find smaller sizes. it was very nice to go to the women's section and find the sizes we need. i understand that they are "trying" to make it per size but it's just impossible now that clothes are just everywhere. it's awful. I'm hoping that they put the women's sizes back to how it was before. I did frequent the one on 65 yesterday and by demand they put the women's section back but there were hardly any women's sizes there. I gave up and left. maybe they need to close for a week to get the store in better shape. These are my favorite stores to go to and I don't want to stop going. Not to mention, their prices have gone up a lot too. Saw a pair of used shoes that were $60 when new you could pay $50 for. insane. please get your act together!! read more

Only for the bravest of thrifters (or the most patient) This store is ginormous. Everything is color coated which is s nice touch. They often have 1/2 price certain tagged items. Finds include anything for antique silver, to name brand clothing. I always seem to find something here! Place gets jam packed! Don't leave cart unattended, people will swipe your stuff. It's a very well thought out store. Clean, good employees. However some of the customers are as low class jerk types as you can get. I have seen it all. A woman was in line with a broom in her cart and couldn't move, two other customers were complaining for her to move. She could not. There is nothing thrifty about this thrift store. The prices are insanely outrageous. You're not saving much if anything by shopping here. You're better off hitting the regular retail stores and paying full price. Nothing is really sorted that well so it is exhausting to search the clothes. They constantly announce all the things you aren't allowed to do there over the loud speaker. It's like getting yelled at constantly while you shop on a loop. The staff is not friendly, and the most annoying thing is that it is cash only. I'm not sure if this thrift store benefits any organization, I don't get the impression that it does. It's just a very greedy place. Parking is a nightmare as well. It seems like there isn't much in the store that is "on sale" with the % off colored stickers. I'd avoid it. read more

The parking lot is a nightmare. The prices were ok but not great. Found several things. The line to check out snaked to the back of the store all the way to the rear area for toys. Easily 30 people waiting. There were 2 cashiers and they were talking like nothing was going on around them and no need for any kind of speed. Only one was actually ringing up customers. I just left the cart and walked out. The wait was at least 30 mins. And this was AFTER I stood there in line for at least 5 mins. Seeing that the line wasn't moving. I went yup to see what was going on. I guess the other people in line were use to it or had the time to stand there. I've been here before. This was the worst I've seen it. read more

This was my first time checking out this Red, White & Blue. (I have gone to the Ohio River blvd location a few times). The parking lot was packed, but we were able to find one of the last open spots. Once inside, I couldn't get over how large this store is. There is TONs of things in here. They honestly have a little bit of everything, so be prepared to stay a while and look around. All of the clothes and shoes are color coated, which is nice. I was able to score a few deals. This place is cash only but they have an ATM on site. I will definitely be back when I have more time. The large majority of clothing is outrageously overpriced for having tags stapled through the fabric and being jam packed onto an already overflowing rack. When I was shopping it was pretty much all so tightly crammed together that it was hard to even remove from the rack. I literally had to YANK and untangle garments and tags from each other and employees would continue to stuff more and more stock onto already *full* racks. To be clear I think the employees are just doing what they're told and if the prices weren't so evil then people would buy so much more and this stock wouldn't end up being lost in a sea of clothing racks and probably ending up in a landfill anyways. It honestly was so hard to find any of the color tag of the week discounts! I don't know how the pricing model works but I can almost guarantee it's due to corporate greed and not something employees have much control over. I'm sure, as is common with chain thrift stores, these poor employees aren't treated or paid well so I don't really blame them for not taking more care when it comes to tagging items and hanging them (and keeping the racks clean and free of a million garments laying around on the floor & being a tripping hazard). I'll also say it's hard to find parking and they're cash only, although they do have an atm there. Another thing is the bathroom isn't ideal- the door doesn't lock, it was gross in there, and they had a big roll of toilet paper in place of a paper towel dispenser as well as run down facilities. While I think the employees could be better about cleaning it I don't really blame them since they all seem overworked and overwhelmed as it is (AND they have to use that bathroom too as far as I know). It's all just a shame considering there genuinely are some cool finds at this thrift and there are definitely a lot of struggling people in the area who could really use a thrift store with fair prices. Thrifting is supposed to be a community resource! I saw so many people in there putting things back (many of them pretty basic items and essentials) because they couldn't afford it. Anything on sale is hard to find due to the sheer volume of stock they have collecting 'dust.' Really disappointing to see prioritization of profit over basic ethics and decency which in my opinion are supposed to be the core values and the general mission of thrift stores. Definitely recommend sticking to small thrifts that actually care about helping people and don't treat their employees horribly. A good alternative in the Pittsburgh area is East End Community Thrift- I went there and was pleasantly surprised by the great prices and got to meet the wonderful Miss Cookie who is an absolute angel!! read more

Best thrift store ever! I have been a customer for decades. There is a huge selection of clothing for everyone in the family. There is always some name brand designer items ar like new condition - you just have to rummage to get them. The downside is no fitting rooms. Lots of books and kitchen items. I always find a couple of great pairs of shoes - Birkenstock's or Dansko that I love. Lots of odds and ends and furniture too. If you are going on a Saturday get there early to get a parking space and cart. They only take cash and the on site ATM has a hefty fee, so come prepared. Staff are mean. They only accept cash and have two atms that charge fees. They organize shoes by color not size. Parking is horrendous and the lot isn't maintained so you can break fragile items rolling your car to your car. It's usually packed with people. The jewelry is extremely overpriced. They put stuff behind the counter that isn't worth much money. They don't post what sales are on what days. It's a cluster in general. Worth a trip, but be prepared to have a lot of patience for the many downsides. read more

I absolutely love thrift stores and this is a great one! This store is huge and has a great selection of goods. I can almost always find something worth buying. Compared to other thrift stores their prices are a little high, especially when you consider there is no dressing room to be able to try clothes on and make sure they fit. Also this thrift store is cash only but there is an atm on property. All the staff I interacted with were nice and helpful. We went in to do some shopping on a Saturday. It was crazy busy and the line was wrapped around the store. Only two cashiers with at least 50 people in the store. We brought a photo album up that had apparently lost the tag, which means they won't sell it to you. I get that that's the rule, but the cashier was extremely rude about it as if we were purposely wasting his time. He told us to come back Monday after it was priced. We went back Monday and the album was back on the shelf, still no tag! We brought it up and the same man yelled at us for the tag, we told him we'd been there Saturday and he put it back without a tag. He reluctantly got it priced. I love the Red White and Blue thrifts in NJ, but this location is understaffed, and the staff I did encounter was quite rude! read more

Store is very well maintained. Staff is extremely friendly. That being said this is the type of thrift store for people that actually need it and for the girlies that like to own pieces that look used. Not a place for vintage finds. I love this thrift store. I've found a lot of great gems here. My only complaints are it's a tad bit dirty and there's only a few mirrors in the store- no fitting rooms. There's some parking in front of the store but right next to it there is a big enough parking lot; beware, it does get crowded during the weekend. I've found great items at this particular store. The best things I have found so far were a Burberry trench-coat for $25, a detailed tea set with bunnies for $3 and a Simpsons version of Clue for $2. The store is organized by sections and there even a kids/furniture/shoe section in the back. I could spend a whole day here hunting for treasures although, there's always a point where I get itchy and have to leave. read more
