This place is pretty nice. It was a little dry but hey it is Redding and the temps have been hovering around 95+/-! Nice staff.

I've been playing at this course for the past 25 years and I played last week and it's in the best shape it's ever been in. They had workers out cleaning up, watering, taking care of the course. The greens were in great shape. They just replaced the 8th hole's green and it's amazing. They planted a lot of new trees around the course and it should help increase some of the difficulty a bit. I'll start coming to the course more now given how it's looking now. Keep up the great work! read more

Not worth price or playing a constantly crowded switchback course. Every time I play there, I get multiple balls taken from people hitting onto the fairway I'm playing. My cart has been struck and Ive nearly been hit with balls without warning. The club pro is a complete jerk and has no customer service skills, yet runs the front desk most of the time. He was the same way at lake redding golf course as well. I recommend playing tierra oaks similar rates but no comparison on quality. read more

Club Tucker, just wow, Eric and his crew have done an amazing job taking care of this Golf Course. The greens are getting close to professional status. Troy and Kayla do an amazing job inside and out. This place is absolutely amazing. Played 4 times this past week. Thank you Club Tucker and crew for all that you do to give us a beautiful place to play a round. Don't forget about Mulligans Bar and grill. Great food and also an amazing staff. read more

The course is the best it's ever been. Weekends can be a bit backlogged but nothing serious. Greens are great, morning can be a bit wet, but it's Redding summer so pretty understandable That being said, the new desk employees are the most obnoxious people I've ever had to suffer at a golf course. We literally received attitude from when we walked in and every time we passed the pro shop (4 times total entry, after nine, lunch, and leaving) for no legitimate reason. They undercharged me by their own fault, pulled me off the tee box to then OVERcharge me for 18. Then proceeded to find a new way to hassle us every time we passed by the clubhouse. I have never felt more annoyed with a couple of over entitled desk girls at a golf course as I have today. 8/17 read more

We a great day golfing. It is a fun course. The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly.

Been playing here for 30 years and the course looks the best it has in years. However, when you book a 7:00 am tee time you expect the clubhouse to be open by 6:30 so you can check in and hit some balls on the range. The woman in the clubhouse said she doesn't open until 7:00. Not sure a 7:00 tee time should be offered if you don't open until 7:00. read more

It's a fine golf course, it's 14 bucks to play 9, for that price it's great. It's not pga quality but if you expect to be at that price your not to bright. read more

Might have been a nice course back in the day but its time to close it down. I walked into the club house to pay for my round and I was greeted by this older Blond Haired Lady who was very rude and short with me. It was like I was bothering her by coming in and asking to play a round of golf. Anyway, now on to the course. The Course is hit and miss but mostly miss due to the condition of the course. The fairway grass was about 2" long and the rough was about 4" long so no matter if you hit a nice ball you were in trouble. The fairways are marked with Gopher holes everywhere so you get a very uneven fairway with lots of dirt patches. Sad to see yet Another Course in the Redding to be just a horrible course to play on. Stop calling your self Golf Courses. Pass on this Crap Hole read more

I've never had anything but a good experience here. They have reasonably priced push carts, golf bags and shoes. The staff has always been friendly. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that, like every course I've played in Shasta County, there are turf issues. I don't pretend to know what its like to keep grass growing perfectly in this climate so I'm assuming they do what they can. read more

Played again on a recent trip, and was going to give it another star since $22 actually seems reasonable now. We were playing with a father son duo who were fairly new to the game. They were great guys, but would ride the cart up pretty close to the green, which they shouldn't have done. Instead of telling the two nicely to adhere to the cart rule, the head pro went up to them and was a huge dick. We were all beginners once, and the game can be intimidating enough without the head pro being a prick. I hope they continue to play despite that experience. Long story short: course is a pretty good deal, the head pro should go screw himself. read more

Went here on a weekday just to use the driving range. I arrived at 4:40, and the driving range apparently closes at 5, so the person behind the counter would only let me have a small basket of balls, and was pretty clearly hoping I would just go away. (She said, humorlessly, that they need at least two hours to clean up the range, and that's why they close at 5. The driving range at the golf course down the road, however, is open until 6:30). Then I apparently should not have been hitting off the slightly less-mowed grass on the driving range, and she told me so pretty rudely. Clearly someone who hates her job and doesn't care if the business she works for gets repeat business. I understand disliking customers who come in not understanding it's close to closing time, but her attitude would have made all the difference between me coming back or not. Most fun 9 hole course Ive played anywhere. Flat, kept in good shape. Just all around fun. Nothing crazy - I shot a 41 - so its enough of a challenge and long enough to be enjoyed. The bar called the Sandtrap might be the best part. Old school, dark - been the same I bet since the 70s. Overall great place to golf and have a drink. read more

For a nine hole, cheaper course in the area, Tucker is the best. Fairways and greens are always well maintained and it's wide open. The service in the pro shop is the only thing I've had trouble with in the past. Nothing though that would keep me from coming here over the other guys. read more

Just tried to have a nice valentines dinner with my family at the Sandtrap bar and grill and was highly disappointed. Came in and sat down and was never greeted nor even acknowledged. Waited for about twenty minutes then ended up leaving. I've never had such a terrible experience at a place. If I could leave zero stars I would. read more

Great place for new golfers. If you know what your doing, don't expect a challenge. Staff is alright. Older gentleman that you pay with us kind of a grouch. Especially since all he does is talk about golf all day. But great place to play an easy game of golf with some friends. read more

Golf course is in great shape fairways and greens. Course is wide open only out of bounds is on the fairways on the edge of course. Fun if your new at golf plus a driving range where you hit off or grass not a mat. There are cheaper courses in the area maybe not as well maintained. read more
