This Golf Course does not have a great layout for parking and I did not notice any warning to alert customers of balls flying over top into the parking lot. The only protection provided is their strategy to line up golf carts along side the green in the hopes that line of defense blocks errant shots. I initially brought it to the Pro Shop's attention and was advised to provide them with a copy of my Drivers License, the bill for the repaired damage to my vehicle, pictures and proof of damage along with a statement as to what happened. After multiple attempts through emails, phone calls to the owner and management team, they simply ignored my request for addressing the issue and paying the damage incurred to me. Essentially ghosting the situation that occurred and not informing their own insurance of the situation. I'm a 20 year veteran who works in the Golf Industry and quite frankly am appalled at the lack of customer service provided.

Having played Whitney Farms on and off for 35 years I had not been a fan until recently. The layout…read morewas and is a little quirky. When the course was poorly maintained that quirkiness was annoying especially because the greens were so bad. Over the last couple of years the course has undergone a remarkable transformation. The greens now are smooth and roll true although they are as difficult as ever to read. Kudos to the new greenskeeper!. Tee to green is generally very good. There are visible efforts to improve sight lines and playability. Some holes, like 13 still need work as the landing area is as likely to reward a good shot with a bounce into the woods as not. Finally, Billy Street the new pro brings energy and enthusiasm that is infectious. Billy is also a very good teacher and a fine player in his own right.

We went for a Holiday gathering at the end of the year, and dinner was on a friend's parents who are members. The ambiance was stuffy, as these Country Clubs tend to be. But, I was here for the food--I ordered a pork belly appetizer, a steak, and a chocolate lava cake. The steak and dessert weren't so exceptional that I would discuss them, and that's why this isn't five stars. The pork belly appetizer was exceptional. It melted in my mouth better than any piece of bacon I have recently enjoyed. It sat on a bed of greens, with a sauce that matched it well. This is why I would come back if they would let me in the door. Keep in mind the place was huge and really nice, probably a great place to get married!

While there may be more formal venues the setting was beautiful and the staff and food was exquisite. Hilary, the coordinator did everything to perfection and there was not one area of the wedding that wasn't exactly how we'd hoped. I cannot express my thanks enough to all of the staff and everyone involved. My only wish, I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Sincerely, Scott G. Thares

A club where all ages of families can gather to play, dine and socialize, either on their own, or with friends. The 2019 club house renovation has updated the club look and added a fire pit to everyone's delight. The members are low key, friendly and family oriented. The staff is always on hand to help and the chef is better than any local restaurant. Having a family sponsor you is preferred, but also not necessary. The club manager, Karl, is available to answer any questions about possible membership options. We have been members for over 15 years and still love it!

The entrance is a little misleading as there is just a sign outside that says "RIDGEFIELD" - nothing advertising that it's a country club except for a small sign on the gate that says "Members Only". We chanced it and luckily had the correct entrance. The golf course was expansive and well-attended. We also drove by the pool area, which was packed with families. The club house is a little dated but not in disrepair. It's the television-world idea of a Connecticut country club. I could have used a little more hardwood and a little less carpeting, but it works for them. Our shower was out on the back porch. It was a little narrow to have those huge round tables, but, again, it worked - clearly this is something they've done before and they know how to set things up with a good flow. The staff were all friendly and very attentive to our needs. I can't speak of the mimosas, but I had a bellini and was very impressed; it's not often you find someone making bulk-mixed drinks with a good balance. The caprese salad was done very well although I always want more tomatoes. I had the salmon with mixed greens and it was gorgeous. Not too much seasoning or salad dressing, and it was cooked to perfection. We finished off with a white cake with fruit inside (not sure if it was from here or brought in) but it was also very good. All in all, it was a lovey visit. I wouldn't stop by just for giggles since it's a good hour and a half drive for me, but it's a great view if you can make it.
